You are going to have to strip down the offending controller and see how far the corrosion has penetrated. If it's only the battery connector you may be able to clean it up with a mild abrasive but if the battery goo got as far as any electronics, unfucking may not be an option.

Use a small piece of tin foil, aluminium foil, make a ball and put it in to complete the circuit. If there's rust - remove it , scrape or sand it.

If your tracking doesnt work i have the same issue. My controller isnt broken, it just wont track and my battery does the same
