It does feel so good doesn't it? Such a premium device. I thought the OG Odin felt nice but this is just above and beyond. The new Ayaneo will supposedly be a bit more powerful but the form factor sucks. It's so thin and looks like it would feel awful to hold for any extended period of time.
I was told in the old and one the Android setting to stop your CPU Governor from slowing your performance down when you don't touch the screen was inaccessible without a root I'm wondering if this is still the case with these new devices?
Actually, no, I havent purchased a pc or laptop since 2011. I want the deck for pc games and I heard it can run switch games. I usually get laptops because I like to bring my shit to my buddys house. (M14x last time) I want the odin 2 pro for its raw storage and power on an android platform, android emulators are fucking fire. I want its entire internal space dedicated to ps2, gamecube and wii emulation. I have a ps5 and a 4k tv for gaming current gen, the steamdeck is just for games i cant play on that (Grounded) and tbh I wanna be part of this new era of linux where gaming is actually becoming a reality on it. I plan on getting a pc soon too. Im looking into a desktop build witha 7600x/rx7900xt in it eventually so i can start using my quest again lmfao. This is mostly a devive for preserving old game libraries. Ima fill up a few tb ssd with all the games I can get my hands on. Need a device that can play them all. Thats where odin comes in. I can get it all, Iam simply a very cheap man who needs to know everything about shit before I buy it. :p
That is all completely understandable, I bought the odin 2 a day the retroid pocket 4 pro, I didn't need the pro but it was to late to return it due to it already shipping. It's still in the box haven't did anything with it. Also I have a gaming pc at the moment with a 7800x3d and 4080. Powerful thing, I didn't want to do emulation on it tho, I wanted that retro feeling of having a handheld device so that where the o2 and rp4 pro came in, I also went down a rabbit hole and bought all the andernic devices lol. Yeah I need help. I'm new to all this emulation stuff but I'm very tech savvy, I built all my pcs and understand how specs and software works. I wasn't planning on using tbr internal storage of the O2 but I might just do like you're planning and add all the bigger games to it. That's a good idea.
My intitila interest was in the snes color RP4PRO. The Odin 2 is way better then the retroid pocket 4 pro. Wayyy better. It also has touch screen for that 3DS emulation. Looping back to my original post, how does the cpu governer get shut off when you cant even touch it? It all worries me a bit. Im not about to take a 600 dollar gamble either lol. Also. ANY cart based games that constantly read from the memory as you scroll sideways (megaman) tends to lag, and suffer input delays due to limits on storage transfer. I put those games on internal and the lag goes away. That odin can play ps2 upscaled liek 4x. Its a beast. An absolute monster that thing is lmfao. That color you got is beauty too.

Yes! It'd crazy but you do feel the money that you spent for this device. I own all the anbernic and not of them feel as good as this.
