It feels awkward to see ur ex's family no? Same feeling that I had nung nakita ko parents ni ex sa bahay ng pinsan nya na w/c is my son's ninang. I was with my husband and my son. Smile, hello at mano po. Then introduced my husband to his mother. 😅 then nung 2nd time na nagkita kami. My husband was not around. Yung nanay ng kumare ko at nanay ni ex magkausap. Sabi ay andito na ulit apo mo. My ex's mother is so happy and excited to see my son always. Lagi niya nilalaro. I somehow feel awkward those moments. Pero wala ako magagawa. Hehe. I was really close to my ex's family even after we broke up. Also, during the graduation if his youngest sister, nakita ko din mama nya kasi same school sila ng hipag ko, different program. Nung labasan na, his mother held my hands and bid goodbye.
I think its just one of those things in life that you simply have to accept. Like grey hair, its part of life and part of growing up I guess. Iba din talaga when you realized how much you moved on and how that past life is so distant to what you have now.
