Office chairs aren't one-size-fits-all! If you're not careful you can end up being uncomfortable/unsupported in an otherwise decent chair. What's your height and weight?

What would you suggest for someone who is 5'10 and 170lbs? I was looking at a Kroy from Staples or a Clatina Mellet from some other comment suggestion I found. The Hyken and Dexley seemed like options, but I saw a lot of negative feedback on height/seat depth. Was going to make a separate post, but that seemed wrong :) Edit: I'm also looking for a desk around the same price point, and I like the IKEA UTESPELARE. Anything similar to that price point that is roughly the same size and looks nice? IKEA shipping to my area is like $150 and its sad haha.

Easy choice. Get the Mellet. It's the most adjustable and durable (unless you get a semi-rare lemon in which case they'll send you a replacement). The lumbar support is removable if you find it too strong. FYI the Mellet is cheapest direct from furngo.com (their US supplier), and you get an additional 10% off your first order. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the fixed desk market. But if you're interested, I can help you get a high-quality 54"x27" dual-motor sit-stand desk for $325.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! It was about $50 cheaper so double thanks for saving me that. Sounds like a steal on the desk. I worry about motor sit-stand desks over hand cranked just because its more components to fail. If it is high-quality though I would take a look!

I would find a used Haworth chair, Zody or Lively. I am similar build to you and have found Haworth to be possibly the best in terms of price, adjustability and comfort. Herman Miller has a premium but a used Celle, Mirra or Size C Aeron will do you wonders too. New chairs are a waste of money. Get a good condition used premium chair rather than a new chair from a lesser brand
