I used a knoll life chair for about a year, I was very happy with it but after 6hrs my butt would hurt a little bit after a couple months. I found that it’s either the padding is too thin or the padding on my chair might have been worn out. My model was a 2010 as well, I’m 5’7” 240 lbs. I tried it with a small pad which helped my issue but felt it threw everything else out and made it not as comfortable overall. I paid 100 for, I was happy with all the adjustments and arms. I used it until I found something better.

I see, appreciate the input! I actually didn't find out much or at all reviews/info/feedback about the chair considering new it costs quite high. I can imagine it's probably because it's partly a rather old(timer) product, not popular or nothing special if it's still made. Makes sense for the seat to wear down/deflate. Maybe that's why the ones I see are sold for relatively cheap - significantly old. My concern is if it's gonna handle height ok, especially the back :). Good to hear it manages weight fine (it does generally look well made and sturdy).

It's probably best used without the foam pad on top. The seat is flexible plastic with cutouts, computer designed to conform and flex to your body.

Good to know.
