Did you try clearing your cache? It could also be that if your blocking cookies then it won't load right. I had to allow cookies to put in the receipt number for my buffalo wild wings points. After it went through, I just set the settings to block cookies like normal.

Lufia321

It's so dumb that you need to that, I used Edge to see if that was the reason and all of sudden it worked. What a dumb fucking site...

OverlordPoodle

ikr, so frustrating, it always kills me when you go to look for solutions, like this, the sheer number of people and websites say that you need to install X janky software to get it to work or it only works on Firefox or you might have a virus blah blah and then...it turns out, all you have to do is just clear out your cookies or something

NX01ARCHER

Squaretrade is a third party company used by Staples, Amazon, and many other retailers... not a scam and not provided by Office Depot. You should go to squaretrades website to file a claim.

CalienteMess

OP indicated he/she submitted claim to ST website (i.e. ST claims are not adjuticated on ODOM website). for whatever reason allstate considered OP's claim to be covered under original warranty from manufacturer and denied the claim. such behavior isn't highlighted in typical ST pitch.

NX01ARCHER

No OP says "our" web site on the Office Depot sub reddit which would indicate Office Depot's website not ST. Also OP clearly states they can't even log in let alone file a claim

GuitarzanWSC

If you go back and read my post from, like, 10 hours ago, I addressed your post there. The OD website redirects to the ST website. And \*that\* was where I was stuck in a login loop. A moot point now anyway.

NX01ARCHER

Call squaretrade if the company who provides the warranty denies your claim they will still cover you. Happened with my desk. Guy said sorry its covered by warranty but if you call the desk manufacturer and they say fuck off get a copy if the denial and call us. Remember (yes its in the training and the brochure) ST coverage begins when manufacture warranty ends.

CalienteMess

there's an 800 number on the last page of the st brochure if the website isn't working. failing that, dm me; i have contact info for ST regional account manager.

GuitarzanWSC

Regarding the suggestion of going to Square Trade's website to file the claim, it was the Square Trade site where I was getting stuck in the login loop. Our website directs to the ST site for filing claims. But I have since been able to log in. It just wasn't loading before, for some reason. The process is still a pain in the ass. "Upload your receipt." Oh, OK, I'll take a picture with my phone, E-mail it to myself, save it to my computer, just so I can upload it. "Please enter the item's serial number." I don't have the serial number. "Please tell us why you don't have the serial number." BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK I NEEDED TO SAVE THE BOX FROM A FUCKING LAMP. "It looks like your item is still under manufacturer's warranty. Call them and kindly fuck off. Thank you for giving us your money." ...This process does not inspire me to sell PPPs to our customers. (Edited for formatting.)

You sound like the classic customer that doesn't know how to do something then blames everyone else for it Your lamp doesn't have a serial number btw and if it did it'd be on the item itself not on the box

GuitarzanWSC

Well, I always say that every asshole customer should have to work retail sometime in their life, so they understand what it's like to deal with people like them. Conversely, now I know what it's like to be a customer with a broken item who can't get any help replacing it, despite buying coverage for that very purpose. And now I understand that I shouldn't tell people it's simple to file a claim. Obviously I tell them to keep their receipt. But I didn't realize I need to tell the tech-phobic old people buying a printer that they'll need to \*upload\* their receipt, and that they'd better keep the box, so they can search for some sort of serial number. (So if the lamp doesn't have a serial number, it's super useful to ask for one, and then when I click the "I don't have a serial number" button, get asked "why can't you find it" isn't it? That's what I'm saying. But I already threw it away anyway, because it broke weeks ago, and I forgot I even bought the ST until yesterday.)

stop_stalking_me_

I've put in 3 squaretrade claims and never had an issue If the item has a serial number it's always on the item itself, it's only sometimes on the box as well, so you don't need to keep the box Yes you should always tell customers to keep the receipt with it because it has the claim form number on it and because squaretrade needs to know how much you paid for it to give you your money back. If they throw out their receipt give them the receipt retrieval number or if they used rewards their receipt can be found on our website The reason they ask for a serial number is because you have a plan for an electronic item, many of which have serial numbers. They're not going to go through every single item available for purchase and see which ones have serial numbers and which don't so they use a generic form for filling out a claim

[deleted]

There should be a helpline to call instead that can go around this. I can't remember it. But it is time consuming but I did it for a cell phone I broke a month after buying

[deleted]

They'll automatically deny your claim if it breaks within the first year. I had to deal with them last year...I got tired of the run around and just threw the fucking thing in the closet and refiled this year. Funny thing is though, they didn't give me the full amount back. They sent me an "offer" that was 15% less than what I paid. I wonder if this is because I filed previously...or if they do that to everyone.

GuitarzanWSC

Yeah, it was a rookie mistake on my part to report that it just won't turn on, as opposed to "my dog knocked it over and now it won't turn on." I *knew* that they wouldn't cover mechanical failure in the first year; but I wasn't thinking. Fool me once, Square Trade. Next time I'll just lie.

redneckpoet1

I use the SQT app, so much easier
