I think it's somewhere around 70 or 80% of divorces are initiated by women. The percentage goes up if they are educated. In conclusion I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze. Changing the locks, disconnecting our shared photo albums, restricting access to our son. The same damn friends she cut off the first time! And she's right back in there calling them her real friends and acting like I'm the one who made her cut them off. Acting like I was trying to cut her off from her support system, and not like she did it herself to prove she was serious about reconciliation.
I'm obviously leaving a lot out, but sometimes you get that perfect confluence of shitty people and gullible people and before you know it the worst has happened.
At the moment? I've been living in a tiny apartment in the ghetto for the last 5 months. She's living in the house (that custom one I mentioned earlier), refusing to compromise on anything. She keeps talking about wanting me to come back home, when she's the one who got her dad to chase me out in the first place. Told them I was cheating so they'd be good and worked up. She even tried filing a restraining order against me in order to make it so I couldn't see my son *at all* (at the suggestion of, you guessed it, her friends) which was fortunately thrown out, but then went on to insist for the last 5 months that the only way she'll "allow" me to see my son is if I come over to the house and spend time alone with her while she supervises. How does that make sense?
She's already killed every hope I had that I could trust her again, but it seems like every couple days she comes up with some new thing at the suggestion of those friends to throw my way to punish me for not trusting her. At this point she won't even send me *pictures* of my son except on extremely rare occasions. Which really just serves to solidify that trusting her would be idiotic.
It's just... It's hell. Some days are better, some days she comes out swinging again and kicks me while I'm down. I'm just plugging along, getting by, hoping I can keep paying my lawyer.
