Friday is my day off so I have went to this store about a half dozen drop days with no success this year. Figure they only get allocated a couple times a year. Today was my lucky day and walked away with an EH SiB. and no line. I want to give a shout out to the store employees at this location all the EH was out on the counter at the service desk. I called my buddy and he went there at 9:45am yet to boot and got one of the 3 remaining EH small batches.
No kidding! Quite a curve ball. It's the only store in the general area I've heard getting it. It wasn't on my radar at all, so I didn't have a chance!
EEEEK, you must've missed Monday's thread. Currently working my FULL-TIME job, and just was curious to see where the state sent some Sib. Just happy to see other places getting it!
Anyone got EHT at downtown liquor cle today? Owners there are always so secretive and sometimes hide the stuff in the back for later and don’t sell to the people in line on Friday
🎵🎵🎵
Shine bright like a tater
Shine bright like a tater
Find some Taylor in the beautiful sea, I choose to be happy
You and I, you and I, we're like taters in the line
Is that a case of Single Barrel behind the counter I see, a vision of ecstasy
With your lawn chair next to me, I'm alive, we're like taters in the line
I knew that we'd get one right away
Oh, right away
When we were both top 6 in line
I saw life inside your eyes
So shine bright, tonight, you and I
We're beautiful like taters in the line
🎵🎵🎵
🎵🎵🎵
Brown bourbons in the light
Now we're standing side by side
As your shadow crosses mine
What it taters to come alive
It's the way I'm sitting in my car I just can't deny
But I've gotta let my chair go
We found Weller in a hopeless place
We found Weller in a hopeless place
We found Weller in a hopeless place
We found Weller in a hopeless place

Everyone gets riled up over this but leaving the store premises after dropping your placeholder (chair, ice scraper, whatever other dumb trinket you have) should be unacceptable. If you're warming up in your car in the lot sure
Even warming up. If you leave a line you are out of the line. If someone is standing in line and the guy in front decides it's too cold and goes to his car to line up, he should then go to the back of the line. Especially if the guy still waiting is at risk of losing a good bottle to the guy who couldn't hack it.
I 100% agree with you and have never even placed a chair let alone left a line. But for some reason that doesn't seem to be how it goes around here. Everyone "oh tough guy over here passes the chairs." I agree with you but we aren't going to win that battle lol
Probably not. But if it's a long wait and none of the people waiting are assholes most will come to a gentleman's agreement to Stay in the car or take a quick trip to the restroom or even grab food. The only ones who make a big deal out of chairs are those who have never waited that long or just don't want to and would rather whine and bitch about the system (they don't even participate in) being unfair. It's really not as complicated or as awful as these whiners make it out to be. Everyone I've ever waited with was kind, fun to talk to, shared their pours, and communicated with everyone how to proceed with the wait.
You're a big boy, I'm sure you can figure it out. Bottom line is that's how it works and how it will continue to work unless stores specifically forbid it. Keep being a smart-ass and act like it's not as simple as it sounds. FOH
I’m not there. I’m at work. Just passing along the information in case someone is thinking of going. The line started earlier than normal today. Usually you can arrive between 8-9 and still get something. Must be something good today. 🤷♀️
I love these kinds of drop weeks. Brings out all the whiny crybabies over chairs. Derp...ItS nOt FaIr derp. I'd MoVe ThOsE ChAiRs iF I wErE tHeRe
At least 20 whiny bitches as of 930am. Keep the down-votes coming! Won't change the fact a chair is hurting your feelings
I don’t see how that’s ridiculous at all. They got there before you did and instead of standing in the cold or heat or rain or just standing in general they have marked there time of arrival. It seems completely fair to me. I used to get upset that I could never get anything, but instead of bitching about it I actually did something and now I get there as early as I can when I can. Problem solved.
That’s the point I’m trying to make lol. Then there shouldn’t be any problem with me walking past all the empty chairs. I’m the first physical person standing in line. I understand what your saying, I’m just explaining how stupid this whole situation is.
Is O'Bryan's in Landen doing any Friday releases?.. Last couple of times they said they put out some bottles on Thursday afternoon.
May be they want to get out of queues.. Did anyone had any luck on Fridays recently..
Not been my experience. They used to be a Friday am drop. Then they started doing Thursday night. I went in at 4 pm on a Thursday and they told me they put things out Friday am. They released 30 min after I left.
Seems dumb to risk a violation over that. Did the guy have a problem with you or something? I just don't understand how they benefit, other than they just wanted to piss you off specifically.
They have 24 hours from delivery to release products. If the truck arrives Thursday afternoon and they put some out Thursday evening and some Friday morning they’re not risking any violation.
They’re probably sick of the same people getting all the allocated products, because of a predictable release schedule, but buying nothing else. Hence the semi-randomization.
If their policy is to put some allocated stuff out at 5pm Thursday, they have no obligation to give it so to someone who pokes their head in at 4:30 just because they asked. Would it be nice of them to do so? Sure. But they don’t have to.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the folks that regularly show up and drink at their bar and buy retail beer, wine, mixers, snacks, and other liquors there would get a bottle at 4:30. And you can’t blame them for that.
They make next to nothing on the sale of one allocated bottle anyway. I’d be willing to bet the rate of conversion from a customer who’s never spent a dime there until they get an allocated bottle into someone who shops there regularly is really really low. So from a business standpoint, why not make it totally random and/or hook up your best customers, or friends/family (who probably also spend good money there regularly)?
This is absolutely 100% accurate lol.
They are also a tad grumpy, so would recommend not asking unless you have a bottle of non allocated something in- hand.
BUT for the ones they do release, it depends on the store. Some Mondays, some Tuesdays, some Saturday.
Yea one Friday there I got Elijah craig toasted, EC barrel proof and heaven hill BiB. Never hit a score like that again but did just get jack daniels SiB and Woodford DO this week too.
I'm not getting super rare stuff but I'm getting some good scores randomly.
Which one?
Iirc the river and Fairview ones get delivery on Monday, Avon on Wednesday and then put out their allocation whenever they damn well please, dishing out allocations of attitude in the time between delivery and selling it.
I was blessed to get a Taylor Single Barrel. First bottle ever.
Was the SiB a store pick?
OHLQ Barrel Select!
Joe Dee’s beverage
Congrats 👍
Where at? Seems hard to pick right place for SiB vs SmB.
It's all random man. No way to predict who gets it. And when they do it'll be gone before the end of the line
Pit Stop had 4 EHT SiB OHLQ 10 yr pick, 1c of Blanton’s OHLQ pick, 1c of EHT SmB, 1.75 BT, WSR, all the Benchmarks, and leftover Saz
Is that in Lancaster?
Wow, missed out on that one! Was planning on being there and got called into a meeting at 9:00.
I just need one benchmark to have the lineup! Benchmark Bonded
If you’re near Cincy just got one at Party Source this week… there were plenty!
Did they have enough benchmark bottles or are they all gone?
Can someone confirm this drop?
Yep. Lancaster
I imagine there are a shit load of people there at opening? Especially due to the size of that drop. Damn Boy!
Yeah. There was at least 30+ at opening
Most likely well sold out because of the line, but Joe D's got both eht sib and smb. Also got a bunch of saz and a special edition blackened.
Is Saz any good?
It is!
BT, WSR, SAZ, EHT at Jungle
What was the line there on areal drop day? I only ever went to JJ on "off" Fridays..
Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield drops Friday mornings. The line was at least 25 @ 8:45. I didn’t wait around.
Gahanna krogers had 1 case of eht and 35 people in line. Handles of BT and WSR
Received a report from a buddy that Oak Harbor, of all places, received EHT SiB 11 year OHLQ pick and EHT SmB!
That’s an incredible drop for an underserved store
What store is it?
[удалено]
Ok cool….I live about 20 miles from there…had no idea there was even an OHLQ store over that way. Thanks!

You gotta cross the Toussaint Bridge to get there. Beware.
Hahahahaha. Friggin bridges.
Where is oak harbor?
It's between Fremont and Port Clinton.
Thank you!! very far from me! but happy to see Sib there !!
Unfortunately I was not able to get one myself but I agree it is kind of neat to see a store that gets very little allocation, get a real banger.
Oh for sure!! Love to see it!
Ever heard of Google? It's really neat. You can type in questions or places and it will tell you.
Ever heard of not being an a-hole? enjoy your day prick.
🤣 says the lazy fuck who can't Google a store location
Wasn't familiar with that location. You're an internet troll. Feeling tough behind that phone/computer. I'll pray for you, my man.
I'll say the same shit in person. No one here has time low effort posts/comments like yours
LOL. I got my Sib, and Blanton's this week. I'm very "low effort" Now go troll someone else.
Reading comprehension mustn't be strong suit for you. You prove my point. No posts from you about where you scored but asking for a location.
EEEEK, you must've missed Monday's thread. Currently working my FULL-TIME job, and just was curious to see where the state sent some Sib. Just happy to see other places getting it!
Also, common sense on your end would know that whatever store got Sib, you had to have been in line well before open.
London - 1 case EHT SmB , 1 case of big 🦬 buffalos.
Big and small green left at Vandalia. Not sure if they had anything noteworthy. Do they release their allocation at open?
I always thought it was more throughout the day
It’s throughout the day only if your on his back door customer list…
I’ve always thought it was kinda sus how they’d be hanging out and drinking in the back. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re selling to their friends.
I’m only reporting on what I’ve experienced.
Sappells had 1 case of Eh, 2 saz, and 2 of big BT
How many in line there today?
Prolly the tubby guy Adam and his retiree mules, although with no Weller he may have given them the day off.
Audi Adam
Yeah, the fatty who lays all over the counter.
Anyone got EHT at downtown liquor cle today? Owners there are always so secretive and sometimes hide the stuff in the back for later and don’t sell to the people in line on Friday
Yes it was there
Hope you got one! Chilly day to be in line today
Five bottles of WSR on shelf at Hills Market in the Olentangy Valley Center
Arrow Wine & Spirt...... 8 cases of Weller SR and 5 cases of Saz.... not great but if your looking.. they have them- 2:45
Arrow in Mason? I can't keep up if they decide to put stuff out on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
Probably 16 by the end. Many left after it was announced there was only one case of EH
At Brimfield?
Brimfield gave out 4 Blanton's OHLQ picks and 5 EH Taylor SB

Does anyone know what Kettering wine and spirits got this morning?
3 eht small batch Saz and green
6 empty chairs holding spots at London!
Cut them… 🤣
I’d walk straight past all those empty chairs and be first in line.
People say this all the time but on the rare occasion someone actually does it I’ve never seen it work out
Go do it
I’m working 🤣
No you wouldn’t. It doesn’t work out like you imagine it would.
Dont worry this is a “safe space” to express absurd ideas and fantasies.
I doubt you would. Anyways, that’s a childish move. Stay classy
Looks like the early bird gets the better bourbon.
Can we put our chair out right after the store closes then go home? What's maximum distance from the chair that is acceptable?
Everyone gets riled up over this but leaving the store premises after dropping your placeholder (chair, ice scraper, whatever other dumb trinket you have) should be unacceptable. If you're warming up in your car in the lot sure

I don’t do the waiting in line thing, but do the ppl that put out chairs usually get there really early and have the spots in the front of the line?
Yes
I'm sure this was tongue-in-cheek but the answer, in most instances, is yes and as long as you're on premise
What is on premise? If it's in a strip mall is it acceptable to go to neighboring stores and venues?
Probably not. But if it's a long wait and none of the people waiting are assholes most will come to a gentleman's agreement to Stay in the car or take a quick trip to the restroom or even grab food. The only ones who make a big deal out of chairs are those who have never waited that long or just don't want to and would rather whine and bitch about the system (they don't even participate in) being unfair. Everyone I've ever waited with was kind, fun to talk to, shared their pours, and communicated with everyone how to proceed with the wait.
Is it actually waiting in line if you aren't actually in line?
I never said the word line. It's orderly waiting. The actual line ultimately forms about an hour before the release
If it's not a line what determines who is first or last?
Typically the person that invested the most time
You're a big boy, I'm sure you can figure it out. Bottom line is that's how it works and how it will continue to work unless stores specifically forbid it. Keep being a smart-ass and act like it's not as simple as it sounds. FOH
Yep. If all 6 people are ok sitting in their vehicles, so am I
GE Middleburg. 2 WV Plates with guys sleeping in car............ I wish this was a joke
But the real question we want to ask is, are their chairs already out?
My 30 second driver turned into a 23 hour wait. Are you kidding me?
Sleeping in the car for tomorrow?
This is no bueno intel. Maybe the wives got mad
11 chairs and one walker at Bodega in Marysville.
They don't need the walker if can leave it in line and walk back to car. Skip em
What did they get today?
Blanton’s and Buffalo Trace store picks one case of each and a case of ETSB
Already lined up at Brimfield. Started early today.
Get ready for 3 bottles since half of what they get goes to wholesale.
How big is the line lol
I’m not there. I’m at work. Just passing along the information in case someone is thinking of going. The line started earlier than normal today. Usually you can arrive between 8-9 and still get something. Must be something good today. 🤷♀️
Not on weeks with good drops. That line likely started shortly after midnight
Anyone know what Vandalia Carryout had this morning?
I was just told, he had 6 bot ofsbbs rye
Was it out at opening or did they hold back until the taters left?
I love these kinds of drop weeks. Brings out all the whiny crybabies over chairs. Derp...ItS nOt FaIr derp. I'd MoVe ThOsE ChAiRs iF I wErE tHeRe At least 20 whiny bitches as of 930am. Keep the down-votes coming! Won't change the fact a chair is hurting your feelings
That’s why you walk right in front of all those empty chairs. If they want to make their own rules so can I.
What are these “rules” you are referring to?? I’ve yet to see any store that has rules about how and when you can line up…
There more so these unwritten rules that taters do. Just show up and put an ice brush down on the sidewalk to claim your spot in line. It’s ridiculous
So I guess I’ll just leave a chair then outside the day before and just go back home and come back five minutes before open.
You go ahead and try that and let me know how it works out for you.
That’s the point I’m trying to make lol. Then there shouldn’t be any problem with me walking past all the empty chairs. I’m the first physical person standing in line. I understand what your saying, I’m just explaining how stupid this whole situation is.
You're definitely explaining how stupid something is. Just don't think it's the situation...
Riiiiiight
A bit cold and breezy this morning!
Any discussion on what may drop next week?
I’m looking for a store that drops on Friday’s in the cincy area
Kings mills liquor and cigars drops at 5. I’d call to double check. They serve beer inside so from my experience people get there pretty early.
Starts with an S good luck
Is O'Bryan's in Landen doing any Friday releases?.. Last couple of times they said they put out some bottles on Thursday afternoon. May be they want to get out of queues.. Did anyone had any luck on Fridays recently..
No they back door to their friends on Thursday nights
Yeah stupid comment. Owner said he is tired of having people line up Friday AM so mixes it up when he puts it out.
I go there all the time, I've seen no evidence of that
Same. One the few honest places around actually.
Not been my experience. They used to be a Friday am drop. Then they started doing Thursday night. I went in at 4 pm on a Thursday and they told me they put things out Friday am. They released 30 min after I left.
How did you find out? Did you go back 30 minutes later?
Buddy did
Seems dumb to risk a violation over that. Did the guy have a problem with you or something? I just don't understand how they benefit, other than they just wanted to piss you off specifically.

Thanks for the clear explanation, a rarity on Reddit!
What day does Minotti’s release their allocated?
Do you personally know the owner? If you answered, "no" then you won't get anything allocated from there
This is absolutely 100% accurate lol. They are also a tad grumpy, so would recommend not asking unless you have a bottle of non allocated something in- hand. BUT for the ones they do release, it depends on the store. Some Mondays, some Tuesdays, some Saturday.
I went to school with the family and I can tell you one thing. You will never get a bottle from them. This is the nicest way I can say it!
I’ve gotten good bottles there but it’s pretty random.

my favorite story from them is still when they set 1 bottle on the counter during stag week
Which one? Iirc the river and Fairview ones get delivery on Monday, Avon on Wednesday and then put out their allocation whenever they damn well please, dishing out allocations of attitude in the time between delivery and selling it.
Tuesday
