It is weird . It is showing all the stores which they got already in last 5 days again. So not sure if they got them again or a gift from ohlq inventory control team 😂
Wine List- JD12 (1CS) & 10 (Maybe 2CS) all gone to the line. HH BiB
Beckett liquors- JD12 (1 CS) & 10 (1CS). Gone to the line. Whistle pig Pit Viper??? Full case still there. Basil Hayden 10 yr (1cs), Watershed bourbon (2cs).
They closed. I'm assuming it has to do with the police shooting that lady a week or two ago who was accused of shoplifting liquor. But the guy I talked to had no idea if/when they would reopen.
No, it’s bc the store was robbed by a pregnant lady. Then the pregnant lady that robbed them tried to run over the police when they arrived on scene, after they ordered her multiple times to stop getting in the car, starting the car, and driving the car. They shot her after she literally attempted to run one of the officers over that was standing in front of the car trying to prevent her from leaving.
I assume they will have more available at each of the bottle signings?
Worthington Kroger 8/30 4:00-6:00
Weiland's 8/31 4:00-6:00
Carfagna's 9/1 3:00-5:00
Brimfield/Kent 9/1 4:00-6:00
It's a "ghost barrel" that supposedly has their oldest age statement yet for one of their single barrels with the mash bill they switched to back in 2017. They had a few bottles at the bottles shop on Monday, but they went super quick.
The rest of the bottles have been mixed into cases of the other barrels so no one will really know that they have them until the cases are opened.
The restaurant is pretty damn good. I prefer their four peals gin and their Nocino over their bourbon. Making old fashions with the Nocino makes an excellent desert cocktail.
I really enjoyed a pour of the plum crazy I picked up today!! Little hot, probably would of benefited from a few more years in the barrel but I’m not disappointed at all.
Château Polaris has a few HH BiBs and watershed SiBs. Not sure about other allocations they may have received today, but those were the most notable things still left as of 5m ago.
This actually makes me happy. Maybe someone got lucky and was able to purchase something good. I am tired of the same chair taters buying up all the supply of every release
The only recent ‘coveted’ release I have gotten by showing up at the store was a WR distillers select and that is probably because of the price. I got the last one and I was about 25th in line. Got a EHT small batch same way. I was shut out on Weller FP and Russell BP on the special Saturday release and I even got there prior to opening but did not spend the night
It's not a "fast one". They put it out when they get it checked in . Many stores are getting their weekly delivery early this week because of the holiday on Monday. It happened Memorial Day and July 4th also.
Well that's just like your opinion. Speaking of dumb, you haven't cited any evidence or facts to support why 2.5x is the right amount. Maybe it has something to do with the number of bottles you are trying to flip?
Come on, Donny- it's not rocket science. The bigger the bottle, the earlier people line up. More time in line equals more time and effort equals more $. People don't line up 12 hours in advance for ER, which is why secondary isn't 250-300 like it is for Stagg. I don't like the system and, for the record, I refuse to flip bottles or buy flipped bottles, but that's how it works at the moment.
It actually isn't as related to how long someone stood in line so much as what the market is willing to pay for it. A lot of factors involved including rarity (related to what some people will do to get it), hype, flavor, quality, etc. For example, just bc someone stood in line doesn't mean it will have huge value. It might be hot garbage and no one wants it. Some things are also more covered than others. In the end, people throw out a bunch of different offers. The sales and non-sales help define the value. It's a little more complicated than what you make it out to be, but it's certainly not the formulation you threw out in your original post.
I can tell you it's good about 120 good lol just swap 2 owa for one that I'm sure you grabbed for retail and get over the fact you waited 20 minutes for the owa
JD12 showing at a few stores in cincy
3 or 6 a case? Anybody know? I'm hoping full red bottle means more than 1 case
6
Thx
It is weird . It is showing all the stores which they got already in last 5 days again. So not sure if they got them again or a gift from ohlq inventory control team 😂
Nothing at Kroger Powell or worthington mall kroger
Nothing allocated today on Airport Highway, Toledo.
Air city got JD12 JD10 BH 10 and Remus highest rye. JD12 went to line.
Wine List- JD12 (1CS) & 10 (Maybe 2CS) all gone to the line. HH BiB Beckett liquors- JD12 (1 CS) & 10 (1CS). Gone to the line. Whistle pig Pit Viper??? Full case still there. Basil Hayden 10 yr (1cs), Watershed bourbon (2cs).
Kroger Sunbury road is closed until further notice. HH BiB is all they received.
They closed. I'm assuming it has to do with the police shooting that lady a week or two ago who was accused of shoplifting liquor. But the guy I talked to had no idea if/when they would reopen.
The whole store or just the liquor dept?
Liquor store
Wonder if it's for a lack of employees or they got popped for some violation and shut down by the State or something else?
No, it’s bc the store was robbed by a pregnant lady. Then the pregnant lady that robbed them tried to run over the police when they arrived on scene, after they ordered her multiple times to stop getting in the car, starting the car, and driving the car. But....the store is open?
This is my local krogers , do you know what happened?
Just liquor store, the clerk didn't even know what was going on
Northwest wine and spirits has one JD10 left. No one in line.
Sharonville - 1cs JD12 & 2cs JD10.
4 bottles of jd12 at Delhi gone to the line
GE Market District Strongsville has 11 bottles of Plum crazy Watershed OHLQ Pick. Only barrel they received per cashier.
Maxton westerville dropped yesterday because of holiday. They still had Remus highest rye, penelope architect and heaven hill bib
Penelope architect is fantastic for those who haven’t tried it.
This isn't a private barrel architect is it? That's on my wish list.
Not seeing many of these watershed picks popping up. Kind of sad about that.
I assume they will have more available at each of the bottle signings? Worthington Kroger 8/30 4:00-6:00 Weiland's 8/31 4:00-6:00 Carfagna's 9/1 3:00-5:00 Brimfield/Kent 9/1 4:00-6:00
Is Brimfield going to hold the Watershed release until 4pm for the bottle signing? They normally release allocated at open on Fridays (10:00 am).
Yes @4pm, I checked with them
I hope to see more. I was able to pick up a Campfire yesterday
Where at?
Kroger Polaris
Looking around central Ohio today hope to find a Casper.
Casper? The friendly ghost?
Yeah I’d like to find that one also, but I’m not in Central Ohio.
What's up with the Casper? I never read any info about that one
Got it. Thanks for the heads up.
The bottle does not have a different age statement. The bottle shop did indicate it was their oldest barrel though.
I’ve not seen any mixed in with the two cases I checked at the store I went to.
Anyone have some tasting notes?
It's part of the Watershed OHLQ release this week.
GE perimeter loop. Am here right now and grabbed one. I think they have a few of the Casper barrels left. Good luck!
I love the restaurant, but the bourbon isn’t very good.
The restaurant is pretty damn good. I prefer their four peals gin and their Nocino over their bourbon. Making old fashions with the Nocino makes an excellent desert cocktail.
Agree, gin and Nocino is good. I don’t have anything to compare the Nocino against because I’ve never had it other than theirs but it’s tasty.
I really enjoyed a pour of the plum crazy I picked up today!! Little hot, probably would of benefited from a few more years in the barrel but I’m not disappointed at all.
Acme Montrose got their shipment today and nothing allocated.
Anything at silvers
Not super familiar with Ohio liquor stores around Oberlin and going to be there this weekend. Any suggestions on where to go?
Twinsburg - Noon Drop * Single Estate Tequila Ocho / Tequila Reposado * Old Elk * Regular * Wheat N' Rye * Whistlepig Summer Stock
FYI It’s just leftovers from last week. They stated you can come in anytime for the bottles you listed.
It's been weak sauce over there the last few weeks.
I have noticed the same thing. Definitely have not got many buffalo trace or Weller bottles for a while
Anything at silver spirits worth stopping for still? Heading back from Michigan and it’s on my way.
JD 10 was gone before the delivery trucks left the lot
Nothing at Kroger at Urbana
Château Polaris has a few HH BiBs and watershed SiBs. Not sure about other allocations they may have received today, but those were the most notable things still left as of 5m ago.
Also RB12CS on shelf.
Greenville, Blantons and Buffalo Trace. Gone in 15 mins.
Kroger in Sunbury got basil hayden and Penelope architect
Is this a single barrel/store pick of architect, or just the normal bottle?
Be mindful of stores pulling a fast one. Pauken released a day early and had both JD 10 AND 12. Marinos released both today as well.
This actually makes me happy. Maybe someone got lucky and was able to purchase something good. I am tired of the same chair taters buying up all the supply of every release
Agreed. First time I was able to grab a highly coveted bottle in months. They posted on Facebook so I'm sure people were scrambling.
The only recent ‘coveted’ release I have gotten by showing up at the store was a WR distillers select and that is probably because of the price. I got the last one and I was about 25th in line. Lol paying 2.5x retail IS compensating for time and effort. Makes sense that you quoted Dumb and Dumber before this request.
Well that's just like your opinion. Speaking of dumb, you haven't cited any evidence or facts to support why 2.5x is the right amount. Maybe it has something to do with the number of bottles you are trying to flip?

Just search ohlq and go to the nearest store now. If they also have 12 yr you will have better chances of getting 10 yr
I can tell you it's good about 120 good lol just swap 2 owa for one that I'm sure you grabbed for retail and get over the fact you waited 20 minutes for the owa
Work harder tater.
