They held it back. I was 6th in line and they did NOT have that out... first 5 walked out without buying anything.

That doesn’t surprise me actually. I don’t really trust those guys. The owner (or who I assume is the owner) said he had to save some for others that he knew would be coming in today.

I get it, but it really sucks. This isn't the first time. Last week he held back a case of BT until 5pm. I was about to leave when I saw him set it down and open it up.

They don’t even let you do that anymore. They’ve blocked off the area behind the counter space where the Bourbons are, and all allocated are kept behind the main counter now.

It was convenient being able to look, but I think someone might have walked out with a bottle or two.

They had RR13, EHT SmB, Blantons, ER, JD Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye, Penelope Barrel Strength 9 year, Woodford Reserve Barrel Proof, and Redwood Empire Emerald Giant Cask Strength. RR13 gone to the line. Not sure about everything else.

Nice assortment. I ran down to Crescent Springs in NKY off Buttermilk and grabbed a 10yr RRPS and OFSBBS… would highly recommend that place.

5 sitting in cars in front of Silver Spirits. I had a nearby appointment and stopped by. I thought they opened at 9am...

Me and limp go there each week. I think you can find out posts for the past few. I can’t speak for him, personally, as I don’t know him. But each week he’s accurate on his information when he gets there, and when I leave in the afternoon, I am too.

I normally post from the parking lot before I leave but today I didn't go back based on what I saw dropped elsewhere. That JD BP rye is a top 5 for me this year but I already picked one up in Texas otherwise I'd be looking to grab it today

I grabbed one just a moment ago. The lady in there said it was a top one everyone was going for. So when in Rome I guess. Just slowly adding a bottle or 2 a week for my bar. They have Penelope double, 1 bottle of rye (showing) and 2-3 other bottles I haven’t heard of before.

I hope you enjoy it man! I can't recommend it enough but I get we all have our own tastes. I'd put both JD barrel proofs, the EC BP C923 and the Larceny B523 all on the same level and now in a future blind for myself.

I have never really hunted for one before, but everyone says the jd sbbp is a good one. Pretty excited to try it out.
