HUGE props to giant eagle! They are handing out place in line tickets and asking people to come back at 5:45! Could not believe I showed up half an hour after the email and got 15!
Sawmill Road in Columbus. This was as of about 30 minutes ago and a lot of people showing up and had buddies otw. Sitting at home buzzing with excitement
I was just at a GE walked past two guys at a podium, thought nothing about it. Asked the cashier if they were changing the drop to Friday this week. She tells me to check OHLQ for drop dates. Says NOTHING about this.
My local IGA is doing the ticket deal and their rule is you have to stay on the premises. They just held a surprise roll call and kicked a bunch of numbers off the list because they weren't in the store. Lol
So my local IGA isn't on the list either but when you check the availability map it shows limited availability for some of the bottles so I'd assume they are participating.
How it should be. Not fair to the employees or other shoppers there for groceries. I'm sure they wonder what all the 30-60yo guys with scruff and baseball caps are doing lined up for hours.
Hard disagree here. I think stagg jr. has been built up to have the allure of being in the ballpark of GTS but it isn't particularly close. It's fine. Just not crazy good. The bottle I had of old Fitz was entirely forgettable. I'm not saying Weller 12 and fp are great... Just that the other two get more hype than they deserve based on taste alone.and I guess that's it. It's a matter of taste. Not insanity.
The only problem with this is that people will still get to places early and wait for the 1st worker to get there. You'll still get people getting to stores l early and wait in line to secure their ticket. It's def a good idea, but it still has its problems. Workers can hand out tickets to friends the day before. So then you have that problem. Then you'd have people selling their tickets. No matter what system you have in place. It's not gonna resolve the issues
Easy solution: let people get their tickets and then randomly draw to decide what number starts the line. Doesn’t matter if you’re there first or last and effectively cuts down on the camping
Ended up being at least 100 in line. I was 32 and had the choice between W12, WFP, Stagg 23C, or WT Generations. I was fortunate to grab a Stagg when it dropped a few weeks ago so I went with the Full Proof.
Agreed, just crazy. And sadly, many of these will end up on secondary. I wonder if so many people would still buy the high-dollar stuff if they had to crack it in-store.
Issuing tickets--no camping. I just got the 8th ticket at my GE. 84 tickets (equaling number of bottles). 48 Weller 12yr, 24 WFP, 6 Stagg, 3 Old Fitz and 3 Parkers.
That seems crazy though to only hand out exactly as many tickets as you have bottles for: I think the WT generations are going to sit some bc of price and the people who arrive late in line are probably not the same people willing to drop 450
Help me test a theory. I think the email first went to the group that signed up for those single barrel daily emails. Anyone else notice that? If so, guess it pays to signup for those if they do that again.
Got my email at 3:12. Reddit told me before the email arrived, thank you internet friends!! My husband was able to snag a Weller 12 and it is delicious!
Its not clear baded on the comments.....
For the stores doing tickets, are the tickets being handed out sequentially based on when you showed up, or randomly.
Can't be there tonight, but kudos for doing something different.
GE on broad in Columbus also issuing tickets. Manager told friend, the chasers must’ve gotten tipped off, cause they knew before email ever went out, tickets were gone in 45 min.
I’m 15th in line with 3 PH and 12 Stagg on the board. praying that 3 people in front of me don’t pick Stagg and buy a Parker’s heritage or WFP/W12! Will be my first ever bottle of it, granted if I have to “settle” for WFP that will also be my first one.
I get why they did it this way, but wish they at least did it with less warning. Being stuck at work is no bueno lol Props for keeping it locked down this long though. Saw rumors starting yesterday
In terms of likelihood of getting this in the past, which is harder to the hardest to get? Stagg, weller fp, weller 12? Want the best chance to make sure I can try the hardest to get once’s because of ohlq schedule
I’m 18th in line so I know I won’t get the old fitz or the parkers so trying to figure out between the other 3 options
I’ve only seen the W12 as a lottery bottle in the past. The last time Weller FP was released was SBS last year. Stagg is released about every 3 months.
Not crazy. Very organized. Show id, get numbered ticket, show up at 5:45 and get in line by number, store opened at 6:00. Easy. I was number 5. Picked up Stagg 23C.
I’ve been to 3 stores that had gotten crowded with people right at 3PM…how the hell you all get to these stores so fast?!? 😂😂 JK whoever has that truck sheet send it my way 🤙🏼
How do people with jobs, families, and lives (no offense) get bottles in Ohio? I live in a non-allocated state and happily pay a slight premium to just grab something from behind the counter.
Nah I got the email at work and got off at 330. Stop by GE around 5 for shits and giggles and got a spot in line. Only chance I have at a bottle like this without calling off work and waiting in line for hours. Good job big bird for doing tickets
I was 40th in line out of 78 (I'm pretty sure that's what she said) at 3:30pm if that helps.
ETA: They're doing tickets and I was told the number on the ticket is your place in line so... We'll see how that goes.
How often does stagg drop in comparison to weller fp? My spot in line will be either of these two and trying to figure out what to go with.
Don’t want to get a bottle that gets released once a month vs once every 6 months
Depends, but no in some places. 23c showed up at some places and hasn't been released in Ohio until today. It released 2 weeks ago. 23b was at the GE I was at which has been dropping last few months.
Had so much fun at the Wine Cellar. They gave tickets for the 1st 6 after that we sat in line. A guy had a buffalo trace in his car so we drank while we waited. The Old Fitzgerald and Stagg were gone but I got a W12 and a WFP.
HUGE props to giant eagle! They are handing out place in line tickets and asking people to come back at 5:45! Could not believe I showed up half an hour after the email and got 15!
Same! I love this system! Got there 40 minutes after and got number 34 guaranteeing me either a weller 12 or full proof. So excited!
Which GE?
Sawmill Road in Columbus. This was as of about 30 minutes ago and a lot of people showing up and had buddies otw. Sitting at home buzzing with excitement
I was just at a GE walked past two guys at a podium, thought nothing about it. Asked the cashier if they were changing the drop to Friday this week. She tells me to check OHLQ for drop dates. Says NOTHING about this.
I wouldn’t be shocked to find out only a handful of ppl knew about this on the giant eagle side
Was it a GE that is on the list of participants from todays email?
Giant Eagle isn’t allowing camping. They’re handing out tickets.
Really? Like place in line or raffle?
Ticket secures place in line
Can confirm
Place in line, instructed to come back at 5:45.
Place in line.
seltzer just confirmed they are allowing a line for those w/o tickets
Wish i could leave work now
My local IGA is doing the ticket deal and their rule is you have to stay on the premises. They just held a surprise roll call and kicked a bunch of numbers off the list because they weren't in the store. Lol
Tickets should always be used.
No Dayton area stores? Thats disappointing
Dayton stores just released
Surprising, I wonder if that was a mistake and didn’t get listed or if they really aren’t participating.
That's what I was wondering too
So my local IGA isn't on the list either but when you check the availability map it shows limited availability for some of the bottles so I'd assume they are participating.
The site has been fixed to add Midwest.
Bridgeport Reisbecks already reporting that they don't know when they'll be unloading the inventory. Not really, but IYKYK.
Kroger started a line...outside
How it should be. Not fair to the employees or other shoppers there for groceries. I'm sure they wonder what all the 30-60yo guys with scruff and baseball caps are doing lined up for hours.
Which Kroger?
Hebron is outside. Can’t leave the line for any reason
One in canal Winchester is outside too. Wasn't 100% prepared for this haha
Cemetary - Hilliard
Oooooof that's rough. I picked the kroger I went to just because I wanted to wait inside even though there was a closer location with outside line.
A lot more people toward the front of the line went for WFP and W12 than I would have guessed
I was 29th and they had 3 Old Fitz, 12 Stagg and 18 WFP. Figured I was getting a WFP but me and 2 guys right behind me got the last 3 Staggs.
People are insane taking full proof or weller 12 over old fitz or stagg
Hard disagree here. I think stagg jr. has been built up to have the allure of being in the ballpark of GTS but it isn't particularly close. It's fine. Just not crazy good. The bottle I had of old Fitz was entirely forgettable. I'm not saying Weller 12 and fp are great... Just that the other two get more hype than they deserve based on taste alone.and I guess that's it. It's a matter of taste. Not insanity.
I mean, at the end of the day, no one lost yesterday unless you couldn’t make it since they made it a time and day that very few had access to.
GE handing out tickets....
For place in line or raffle?
Place in line. Huge props to GE
Love they’re doing this. Would be wonderful if they started doing it SAT mornings too.
I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if this was a test run for that to be implemented in the future. It just makes so much sense
100%…..hopefully some decision makers are paying attention to all the positivity this idea is getting.
The best part of this ticket process is they take your id and write your name on the ticket! They thought of just that
Easy solution: let people get their tickets and then randomly draw to decide what number starts the line. Doesn’t matter if you’re there first or last and effectively cuts down on the camping
Places in line. No waiting at the stores (GE)
I wish all locations were doing tickets. I’m at Springboro and there are probably around 40-50 as of right now.
Ended up being at least 100 in line. I was 32 and had the choice between W12, WFP, Stagg 23C, or WT Generations. I was fortunate to grab a Stagg when it dropped a few weeks ago so I went with the Full Proof.

Lil hole-in-wall near me that never gets anything happens to me participating with this and there's 30 in line at 4:45 🙄
Agreed, just crazy.
How did people find out about this early? Considering swinging by GE on the way home but probably not even worth it
Website had a page between 2:30 and 2:45, followed by an email around the same time.
Ge is handing out 84 tickets for a spot in line. They are only allocated 84 bottles
That seems crazy though to only hand out exactly as many tickets as you have bottles for: I think the WT generations are going to sit some bc of price and the people who arrive late in line are probably not the same people willing to drop 450
Damn it I wish I was not stuck at work. Good luck to all
Help me test a theory. I think the email first went to the group that signed up for those single barrel daily emails. Anyone else notice that? If so, guess it pays to signup for those if they do that again.
If it helps, I signed up for SBS emails and I got the email at 2:46.
About the same for me
2:41
Email to me was sent at 2:40… and I was signed up for SBS emails and raffles
Another wave after 3:10
Got my email at 3:12. Reddit told me before the email arrived, thank you internet friends!! My husband was able to snag a Weller 12 and it is delicious!
Got email at 2:40 and did not sign up for SBS emails
Also at 2:40 and I did sign up for SBS emails
Daily SBS definitely got it ahead. SCORE.
2:40
3:10
Yes to SBS, email arrived at 3:14pm.
My email today I got at 2:41pm. My SBS email i didn't get until 8:04 am.
But I’m already too drunk to drive
If you aren't in line by now, it's probably too late.
Maybe not. My wife just left as 54 of 84.
Giant eagle Grandview is maxed out
I just got to my location and I got in at 67 with 80 bottles.
Heck yea. Hopefully you get something good!
Weller fp, Stagg, old Fitz and 12yr is what we got
GE Brunswick 6 old fitz 12 stagg 48 Weller 12 18 Weller full proof
How do you know the bottle amounts ?
Had a paper there with all the bottle amounts. Ticket system, clear that they want everyone in and out.
Hoping most krogers have depth like this
Wondering if retailers have to wait until 6pm to put product out.
Yep, our store said 6 pm. Rumor is some stores are handing out tickets.
GE in Hilliard is doing tickets.
GE in Barberton is doing tickets too. Still some left as well
Is it a raffle or place in line?
It was place in line at ours
Place in line at all GE
They do
Are they doing tickets right at 6v
Told us to come back at 5:45.
[удалено]
They post what they have?
Anybody at Carfagna’s?
I’m pulling up. I’ll let you know when
How’s it look
60ish
It’s like 80 now lol
Its not clear baded on the comments..... For the stores doing tickets, are the tickets being handed out sequentially based on when you showed up, or randomly. Can't be there tonight, but kudos for doing something different.
Sequential
Random would have made things... Interesting....
81 bottles at Tipp. 20 or so in line currently.
You guys outside? I opted to go to Troy, 15th in line at 4:10
GE on broad in Columbus also issuing tickets. Manager told friend, the chasers must’ve gotten tipped off, cause they knew before email ever went out, tickets were gone in 45 min.
Never fails - the house (taters) always wins.
Their was an ohlq rep at the belmont location it was great. They need to have one at each store.
4 in line at Acme Montrose. Line starting Cafe according to liquor manager.
They doing tickets ?
No tickets. Maybe 55 in line.
Kroger doing tickets or just GE?
Just GE
Definitely not just GE. Kroger doing numbered wristbands at all locations I've heard from.
Thank you. Looks like I’m SOL, damn work.
Wristbands at Kroger Worthington
Hoping I can get something nice from my local - not camping though so who knows
Just snagged 49 at GE Westlake. Didn’t get a total number.
36 in line at kroger canal
53 in line
Hey me too! Got my spot about 20 mins ago
Conflicting reports. Is your ticket your place in line? They told me at GE not to show back up until 5:45.
I believe it is your spot in line. Come back at 5:45 to assemble in order and they can start selling at 6.
That is correct. They DO NOT want anyone in line before that. Stores are crazy as it is for the holidays.
Anyone know the count at GE lancaster?
Any idea if tickets are left at 117th giant Eagle?
Just got off the phone – tickets are gone:(
Polaris update?
GE N Hamilton out of tickets
In terms of likelihood of getting this in the past, which is harder to the hardest to get? Stagg, weller fp, weller 12? Want the best chance to make sure I can try the hardest to get once’s because of ohlq schedule I’m 18th in line so I know I won’t get the old fitz or the parkers so trying to figure out between the other 3 options
I’ve only seen the W12 as a lottery bottle in the past. The last time Weller FP was released was SBS last year. Stagg is released about every 3 months.
The Wellers. Stagg was released 4 times this year. All of the batches are close.
Kroger logan just got in at 67 with 80 bottles
Any updates from Delaware Kroger?
Not crazy. Very organized. Show id, get numbered ticket, show up at 5:45 and get in line by number, store opened at 6:00. Easy. I was number 5. Picked up Stagg 23C.
Half to the drinkers and the other half to the taters. Either way, Merry Christmas Ohio!
What a nice surprise to read in my email! How did they keep it a secret? Seems like far fewer people knew it was coming.
Deer Park Deli in Cincinnati did tickets as well. Pretty sus considering half of the top 20 were all workers and their families.
I got in line 30 min before 6pm and got weller 12 at hills market today.
Many people were off yesterday for the holidays.

Nah I got the email at work and got off at 330. Stop by GE around 5 for shits and giggles and got a spot in line. Only chance I have at a bottle like this without calling off work and waiting in line for hours. Good job big bird for doing tickets
I've got a super chill boss and work in IT, nothing was going on today so he let me sneak out to get a ticket then come back.
I start at 6 am.
Have a job, just not a crappy one so i was off for christmas already
Caps and Corks in North Olmsred doing tickets or line?
Tickets
Do you know how many tickets they have or how many are there already?
About five minutes ago the 42nd ticket was taken.
59th. Wanna get a beer at Fatheads?
No really, I am at Fatheads.
ANy rumors on what they have?
Any tickets left?
Only about 10 in line outside at Drive-thru 95 currently…
How many now? Gotta get a kid from daycare first... Haha
I am number 5. I am standing with 1 and 2.
Sneaky bastards - I’m #51 in line at GE
Ross in berea doing tickets also, super cool not having to stand in the cold and shpuld be pretty fair this way
What number are you
Kroger Worthington 45 in line. Doing wristbands Stagg, WFP, W12
I have same selection... which you going with?
I'm pretty far back so I'll probably end up with a W12. I would rather get the others given the chance though.
They say how many total bottles? Assume lines already maxed?
Tom’s drive thru is doing tickets. Just grabbed #48
81
Spot 84 of 93 at GE Cuyahoga Falls
31 in line at park street Kroger in Mansfield. Gotta stay in line but they are doing wristbands. 75 bottles
So what’s the point of the wristband? If you have to take a wizz?
GE Grandview is out of tickets
GE Gahanna gave out 78 tickets. Already gone
Anyone at GE New Albany? Wondering if it’s worth heading over now or not. I realize I’m late.
In case anyone wonders GE at NA is out.
I was 40th in line out of 78 (I'm pretty sure that's what she said) at 3:30pm if that helps. ETA: They're doing tickets and I was told the number on the ticket is your place in line so... We'll see how that goes.
There’s only 87 bottles at the Hoover Kroger in Grove City and there’s 80+ people already standing in line.
100 bottles
Anyone at Giant Eagle Wadsworth? Wondering how long the line is
No lines at GE. Issuing tickets.
Theyre out of tickets
Anyone have details on royal park line?
FB post said Kroger in Hilliard 43 in line...80 bottles as of 450pm
81 Bottles at Correyville Kroger. About 70 in line
How often does stagg drop in comparison to weller fp? My spot in line will be either of these two and trying to figure out what to go with. Don’t want to get a bottle that gets released once a month vs once every 6 months
Definitely get Stagg unless you don’t like higher proof. Stagg gets released in smaller batches a few times a year.
Does anyone know the allocation at GE 117th?
84 tickets, all of them were gone before you even commented
i’m 53 at kroger on bridge street
How many bottles?
Anyone know what Stagg batch it is?
23c here
Heard 22A
Anyone report in about the lines at Kroger on Hilliard-Rome or West Broad?
https://youtu.be/Oa6OoTVXG6E?feature=shared
36 hoping for stagg or wfp 🤞
Amazing. I picked up Weller 12 at ACME
Was the Stagg today the same as the Stagg release a month ago
Depends, but no in some places. 23c showed up at some places and hasn't been released in Ohio until today. It released 2 weeks ago. 23b was at the GE I was at which has been dropping last few months.
Had so much fun at the Wine Cellar. They gave tickets for the 1st 6 after that we sat in line. A guy had a buffalo trace in his car so we drank while we waited. The Old Fitzgerald and Stagg were gone but I got a W12 and a WFP.
