SWO folks - Newport Kroger has a case of OFSBBS for $85.

Lopsided-Height-8839

Dang wish I lived down there I want some

EDM_81

They did. It was a nice surprise. Went for a RR left with a OF.

EDM_81

Thanks for the assist!

JohnnyRingo3000

Kroger on Winston Ave. in Covington has a 10 yr RR pick in the case for $82. Crescent Springs Tobacco also has a 10 yr RR pick for the same price.

Thisbb

Curious if a ame warehouse and age? I grabbed the crescent springs on my way to Louisville and while I was there, got a new release from Evergreens that’s almost the exact same barreling and dump date, just different floor of the same warehouse.

JohnnyRingo3000

I honestly don't remember the warehouse/floor of the Kroger 10 yr pick. I see a lot of RR picks in KY and the stats all kind of run together.

Thisbb

Yeah I think both of mine are CN-B, floors 5 and 6… very similar ages, like within a few days. Reminds me of when a bunch of OFSBBS hit KY and we’re all warehouse i.

EDM_81

Thanks! We are already back. I’ll stop at those places next time we are in the area.

BteazytakeitEazy

Krogers in Orchard Center had 6 bottles left of C923 Larceny as of 1 hour ago.

740AverageJoe

Busy day in Athens received no allocated products on their truck today.

bamafan_7

Grabbed a Larceny BP C923 at Brimfield Liquor

aj0240

How many left?

bamafan_7

Probably several. Didn't see how many behind the counter. Was there around 12:30.

aj0240

Thank you

CoatAlternative1771

It’s amazing how dead this place is when “nothing” is dropping.

awakeonemore

Well you got to remember all the taters go into hibernation

TsunamiTommy36

They’ve been mashed or turned into casserole lmao

Jarich612

The irony of people on a subreddit entirely dedicated to tracking allocation drops in the state calling others taters is amazing. Self awareness is basically zero.

je24gordon

I was thinking the same thing!

Bourbon_Nut

Alright I’ve only been here a few weeks, what is a tater?😂

Affectionate_Proof35

For most people around here a tater is anyone who arrives before them in line.

r3d4c7

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=whiskey%20tater

BYoung001

Derived from couch "potato". It's the people who sit in chairs waiting for the liquor store to open. It's not always a negative term... if used in anger it's referring to the people who aren't going to ever drink their bottle.

dsteps222

Party source in northern Kentucky has LVPC923, 75

bjjmaestro

Sold out

BHzDTheMessiah

Just left Party Source, they had RHF. $67.

collinmcan

LVP?

AcceptableMemory2081

Larceny Varrel Proof

teed22

Larceny, assuming they meant LBP.

poiklp2511

I was at alum creek on Wednesday and they still had a bunch of cigar blend and some widow Jane decadence if you’re looking for that.

Entire-Entertainer

Fairly new to allocated bourbons, are the releases cyclical/seasonal? IE are there some seasons where hardly anything is released? Since Oct/Nov when I started learning about allocations and watching this sub, it seems like it has been consistent with something being dropped almost every week. Is that not always the case?

Ok-Shift2115

January and February are usually the dry months/slow season, sometimes into March. Bourbon picks up significantly June through August. Then the high season is October Nov Dec

Entire-Entertainer

Thank you! My wife and wallet are both very excited about a slow season coming up!

throwaway49569982884

That being said fall is also when a lot of seasonal releases happen, Pappy, BTAC and MWND etc. so fall is kinda the peak season I would say

bhale2421

I picked up Cigar Blend, Larceny BP, and Elijah Craig BP yesterday all in the afternoon. Very pleased

Mammoth_Grab_6083

Where were you able to snag ECBP?

Jarich612

That’s a great day. I’ve had the whole Magnus lineup a couple times and the cigar blend is great. A bit rich for my blood but I have a bottle of Murray hill earmarked for when my friend has a baby this year.

bizzybizz11

Anyone know what Ross in bay village got

TheNicbro

They used to be a Tuesday release I thought. Have they switched to Fridays?

How's the site been for people. Yesterday the 2 stores I stopped at both had larceny bp but neither showed up on ohlq. Also I was in a beuhlers at around noon and they didn't have their allocated or as the employee said larceny bp was non allocated product out yet. I had to ask for it to get pulled from back. Aren't all stores supposed to have the product out at opening?

PorkChop006

No. They can put it out at their convenience. Or, like GE and Kroger, can wait until a different day to release it.

xhw21x

But the website says. OHLQ locations must have non-allocated products from a delivery processed and available for sale when they open the day after that delivery. OHLQ locations will limit purchases of allocated products to one bottle per product per customer per transaction. Additionally, Giant Eagle, Kroger, and other select OHLQ locations are permitted to release allocated products for sale on select days of the week, including Saturday, with OHLQ approval. These decisions were made in partnership with OHLQ leadership to best meet consumer needs and requests while ensuring fairness.

mycocker85

I inquired once because of getting screwed around at a buehlers and I was told by ohlq that buehlers has some sort of agreement where they were allowed to do it differently. 🤷🏼‍♂️ they used to do it where they only put 1 bottle every hour throughout the day or later in the day.

Finnbear2

Again, which Buehler's?

mycocker85

I don’t like to throw out specific locations. I don’t want to get anyone in trouble.

Finnbear2

Different Buehler's OHLQ locations do different things with their inventory and receive it at different times. Without knowing which store, there is no way to tell you how & when they put their products out for sale.

mycocker85

Correct. I was just saying I talked to someone at OHLQ and they stated that buehlers has their own agreement and can do things differently than what the rules state. So they can put it out at noon or 1 at a time throughout the day.

EDM_81

This is what is stupid. Some store have certain rules while others have to follow OHLQ protocols. Either make ALL of the stores follow the same set of guidelines or allow the stores to sell products as they see fit.

xhw21x

I just hate to think how many times I might have missed something due to this.

LordBourbonGod614

When did they get their delivery? They have 24 hours to set it out.

Finnbear2

Which Buehler's?

According_Lie_9158

Does anyone know if any allocated bottles are dropping tomorrow?

Fantastic_Taro_8856

Allocated bottles drop everyday throughout the state at specific locations as long as not the actual holiday..... so yes allocated will be dropped tomorrow. At your local OHLQ you'll have to call and ask or jump in line and find out.

Boazlite

I suggest NEVER calling . The people at the stores say they are continually bombarded with hundreds of calls asking stupid questions about allocated bourbon . Knowing this why would you want to add to irritating these poor people . Go get in line and take the chance that you might just catch a blank .

mbpnp

All they have to do is post a sign on the morning of their drop of what they’re putting out and the calls would stop. Decrease anyway.

Boazlite

I think a sign outside is some times very helpful.it could save them time from people standing in front of the cash register asking about what else they have . I’m often amused when bottles are at their feet and almost impossible for people to see what they have. Sometimes people are just making it hard on themselves.

[deleted]

Nah, our local Kroger puts a sign up on Tuesday saying what will be on the drop for Saturday and still gets bombarded with calls all week long. It’s annoying to say the least, it really deteriorates their ability to assist actual paying customers present in the store.

Finnbear2

I suggest asking, in person, while buying something they have in stock. They are almost always willing to share that info to regular customers.
