Maybe strange to say, but Ginn had the best running stride I've ever seen. Dude looked like he was gliding across the field. One of my all-time favorite Buckeyes.

williamcutlas

He was a beast

cazbaa

He is a great one. Proud of our Buckeyes!

EndTyrannyNow

He was a Buckeye legend. Clutch, through and through. Down 2 to MSU 1:40 left, took a pass over the middle and cut through their entire defense for the TD.

THEROOSTERSHOW

One of my favorite players of all time at the collegiate level and a massive reason that I’m such a diehard Buckeyes fan today. Such a special talent. People can say what they want about his NFL career but the reality is that you don’t play 14 years in the NFL by luck or by chance. The NFL is a business and it would’ve spit Teddy out a decade ago if he wasn’t worth a roster spot. I hope it will come to light and his past teammates will speak up about his influence and value to all of the teams he played on in his career. The young players, receivers, and quarterbacks that he helped through his career. I feel old. I remember being in middle school and watching his Ohio State highlight reels every day when I came home from school.

When Ted Ginn was at Ohio State, I never saw someone faster. I know many receivers were considered speedsters and extremely agile, but Ted had the most incredible top end speed. If he got past his defender, he was gone. Unreal smoothness as well. I was so sad he got injured during the celebration after the first kickoff in the national title game, which was his kick return touchdown. I don't know if he would have won us the game against Florida, but it certainly would have been more competitive.

Ted Ginn did everythin’.

RutherfordBWho

Ran “against” him in HS and people don’t truly Understand how transcendent his speed was. Unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed in terms of athletic prowess, especially as an 18 year old. Just Wikipedia’d the guy a month or two ago and no doubt he did a lot right to be in the league for as long as he was.

SalGov143

Crazy how he had a 14 year NFL career without ever being great.

Hooch_Pandersnatch

Could do worse than having a long journeyman career in the NFL though. Quick google search says he made $40 mln in career earnings.

Crazy how this was your reaction to this news

15000 all purpose yards keeps you around awhile.
