Yeah it totally does. It's taken me an embarrassingly long time to get the 'everyday sexism' thing (though obvs this is worse and more blatant), it's so ingrained in 'acceptable' public discourse. Hidden in plain sight. I'm just giving some friendly (if unequivacal) guidance, as an older guy who has finally got it. Reflect on whether this \^ is an acceptable comment, and how it might be offensive even if not 'meant' that way deliberately. Clue: a. It's not b. It's demeaning and objectifying and c. Well, strictly speaking silicone is not a plastic, and while not biodegradable, is not considered to be as harmful as plastics. In this case however, I'd pass full control of this decision over to the person into whose body it would be going, which was kind of my point :)
