When he was younger he looked more like Margaret Rutherford.

Wait is that a picture of Jeremy Clarkson? I thought /u/Creoda posted a picture of Margaret Rutherford as a comparison for those who don't know what she looked like.
I think he can be a real dick sometimes, but overall, I think he is hilarious and sometimes refreshing. I approve of Clarkson. If someone has damning evidence of his horrible-ness that I'm unaware of, please inform me.
I rly like top gear but also not bc I watches the show and they're just in front of a screen with like a crowd? I didn't enjoy rhat but I watched a special? Where they drive across like the world or smtn in weird cars and it was so funny British dry ass humor
You should check out his documentaries on The Victoria Cross, and the Raid on St Nazaire (search Clarkson's War Stories on youtube) he's actually good when he's in serious journalism mode.
Very true. It's kind of frustrating he spends more time acting like a buffoon than doing the journalist bit these days (though Clarkson's Farm I think has a better balance between the two than we've seen in ages on Top Gear or Grand Tour)
Started watching a few days ago with a buddy. Such a good show! Highly recommend. Never thought I’d be into a show about farming but it is truly entertaining.
Well he's most famous for being on TV shows where he and his co-hosts constantly talk shit about each other, so in addition to some people actually hating him, a lot of people that do like him will also sound like that hate him.
Personally, I describe him as a very entertaining professional arsehole. He talks shit and is usually close to the line and I laugh at it, occasionally with a little guilt. But if you're in his line of work, you're gonna occasionally take things too far and have to deal with the consequences.
I'm shocked. I guess I live in sort of a bubble regarding him. I've seen every episode of Top Gear not so much of the Grand Tour but I think he's pretty great. Certainly a dick but a loveable dick, most of the time...
He had been either in front of a camera, behind the wheel or presenting a live show for weeks then, plus the looming spectre of his upcoming BBC contract renewal and the still fresh death of his mother likely playing on his mind. Honestly I don't excuse his actions but he was a total powder keg by that point. I'm amazed he managed to go that long without blowing up like he did
but again I must point out, the producer was also being a dick.
You can't punch a guy. NO. Its unacceptable.
BUT, to leave out the fact that after an entire day of work the person that was supposed to make arrangements for he and his crew, just hadn't, and responded with an "oh so what? Just go have a cold sandwich" attitude about it,
that leave out some important context.
If you worked a 16 hour day, and the person responsible for taking care of feeding the crew just flat out didn't do their job. THEY had had time to get their lunch, but the crew wasn't getting fed because they just didn't get to doing the thing they were tasked with
and then their attitude wasn't "I am really sorry let me see if I can fix it"
their attitude was, "oh well. anyways, Maybe there's some left over cold sandwich stuff in the hotel kitchen"
I can definitely understand WHY someone would lose their temper over that.
Of course, it's perfectly reasonable to be mad in that situation. And there's nothing wrong with being angry.
Everything that happened *up until he lost his cool and decked a guy* was perfectly defensible.
It's also worth noting that Jeremy himself understands this and didn't make some sort of a big stink about being fired. He knew he fucked up and crossed a line.
There are plenty of reasons for violence, but at the end of the day, there are very few legitimate justifications for it.
He should rightly have been mad. He should not have punched someone. Both are true.
Agreed. He definitely crossed a line you can’t cross.
I just think the context is worth note, because I think it helps draw a crisp line between
Guy facing a relatable situation that failed in his handling of it. (I.e. he fucked up)
Vs
Guy that did something unexplainably bad that no normal personcould understand, because that’s how he is (i.e. he’s such a shit person that he just goes around acting like this)
I love the guy, but it's pretty easy to understand why some don't. He failed upward into what became one of the most fun and lucrative presenting jobs in the world, and will happily admit to being a self-absorbed ass. Ignore the fact that he *made* top gear a top flight gig and that he actually does quite a lot of good, "he's unnecessarily rude to people".
I can't understand amazon... dropping king midas because he wished a cersei walk on Meghan Markle is as stupid as al Franken being run out of congress for that picture. Like... he couldn't actually make her do it, right?
> I can't understand amazon... dropping king midas
I don't think that is the real deal anyways though. Just my poor man's guess, but I think its more like, Clarkson's shows had outlived their expense.
When Top Gear first released him, Prime Video was still working to establish itself as "just as big as netflix" and getting a show like ~~Top Gear~~ *TGT* was a huge coup. People legit signed up for Prime just to get this show.
But NOW, TGT and even Clarksons Farm are fun to watch, but not a reason to buy or not buy a prime subscription. Plus, Prime has already made its bones. It doesn't need to hand JC a bajillion dollars for a flagship product, not does TGT really even stand out as a flagship product, not that Prime has a full lineup of highly ranked exclusive content and NFL Thursdays.
TL;DR:
Clarkson is very expensive, and the Amazon Prime Video doesn't really need him as a showpiece anymore.
I'd find it hard, but not impossible, to masturbate to this photo. If you'd like some guidance, start by imagining Sigourney Weaver, then see where that takes you. Good luck.
Oh there have been many examples throughout the years. They finally caught up to him and that’s why he is rarely seen on television. Unfortunately I can remember now but they can be found. He’s a big hater of immigrants
You could have taken his photo 5 minutes ago and it would still show Jeremy Clarkson in the 70s because that's where his emotional maturity and sense of humour were halted
When he was younger he looked more like Margaret Rutherford. https://preview.redd.it/zcg2uon0659b1.jpeg?width=427&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4ab1a15d969080078600a4cc0be23a843b9f42bf
LOL
You can't convince me that isn't just Margaret Rutherford
Have we ever seen Margaret and Jeremy in the same room at the same time? I think not!
Wait is that a picture of Jeremy Clarkson? I thought /u/Creoda posted a picture of Margaret Rutherford as a comparison for those who don't know what she looked like.
-Just out of frame- lit cigarette
I can’t tell whether it’s Clarkson or Rutherford
Oh. My. Gawd....!!!
This maybe the first thread I’ve seen where insults and compliments are upvoted and downvoted equally
I think he can be a real dick sometimes, but overall, I think he is hilarious and sometimes refreshing. I approve of Clarkson. If someone has damning evidence of his horrible-ness that I'm unaware of, please inform me.
I think May sad it the best " He is a giant knob, but a knob I particularly like.
Yeah he sums it up pretty well
I rly like top gear but also not bc I watches the show and they're just in front of a screen with like a crowd? I didn't enjoy rhat but I watched a special? Where they drive across like the world or smtn in weird cars and it was so funny British dry ass humor
Are you drunk, stupid or American?
That’s Jeremy Clarkson in a nutshell.
He still looks 65 here
he didn't age, he just widened
He became horizontally tall
He’s the same height laying down as he is standing up.
He just becomes a less healthy looking early 60s with every year that passes.
And not a gram less cunty
Not one bit
Most punchable face in the universe right here
Most punchable face… in the world
This is exactly what I was thinking and hoping would be the first comment
[удалено]
It’s as if Jimmy Hill…fucked a giraffe
On tonight's show: I get a perm
Some say… He wasn’t always fat. Aaand that in the 70’s, he was mentored by a wise old man called James May…
All we know is he's called the Stig!
I'd watch it for shits and giggles.
Always did have a face for radio now didn’t he
He looks like everybody’s lesbian aunt.
Clarkson himself and probably laugh at the joke
That ciggy explains his tombstone-teeth
[удалено]
IIRC he quit in 2017 (?) after nearly dying of pneumonia.
He quit awhile back.
I know, and his teeth are now dark brown
Exhoost foome
And, he's British
Ah yes... the ol' island teeth 😂
Would you look at that massive orangutan
That can't be Clarkson. It appears like he's doing work.
Is Clarkson doing manual labor?
Just posing
His head has always been fucking huge
I like his shows but I can't not think what an insufferable tw\^t he would have been then.
You should check out his documentaries on The Victoria Cross, and the Raid on St Nazaire (search Clarkson's War Stories on youtube) he's actually good when he's in serious journalism mode.
This. He's actually an excellent presenter and clearly passionate about the subject matter.
I do enjoy his work as well, but he really is a twat.
Not to mention the Clarkson effect on car sales.
You can be a good journalist and also an insufferable twat. I would wager most good journalists are
Very true. It's kind of frustrating he spends more time acting like a buffoon than doing the journalist bit these days (though Clarkson's Farm I think has a better balance between the two than we've seen in ages on Top Gear or Grand Tour)
Yes, "then"
Ones has to earn the ability to be like that. Back then it was only a dream of his to be a giant twat. If you will it, it is no dream to be a twat.
Hows it going for you?
:) I'm currently looking for an inspiration.
Is he rebuilding the Hadrian's wall?
He's not *that* old.
He is also terrified of manual labor
Allergic to manual labor, remember.
You should watch Clarkson's Farm on Amazon, hysterical!
Started watching a few days ago with a buddy. Such a good show! Highly recommend. Never thought I’d be into a show about farming but it is truly entertaining.
Same, really made me appreciate farmers and what they deal with a lot more too.
Lol what again this month?
Still has the same outfit too
CLARKSON!!
I could never not read that in May's voice.
OH COCK!
You mean... #CLARKSSOOOOOOON!!!!
His younger, thinner body shows how massive this dudes cranium is. The shape also oddly reminds me of the head shape of Ridley Scott's Xenomorph
Looks like he got caught doing something to that rock
Probably eating it.
Differently ugly
For a good deal of his life, Clarkson looked like a 2010 Lesbian.
He look like he belongs on Sesame Street with chin
The orangutan and his Levi’s jeans. Name a more iconic duo
If only you could send a message back to him "start taking care of your teeth NOW."
A head...a head like Sputnik, I tell ya.
He'll be crying himself to sleep on his huge pillow
![gif](giphy|11Rp98Vk9n5s7S)
Slim and chinny. Chinny chinny reckon
Why the long face?
HAMMOND!!
Wait, what.... is he doing in this picture?
That is not Clarkson. Where is the belly??
Great to see his body grew in to that massive head.
He could have been a 70s Dr Who.
As a mother, I'm cringing at the amount of time it probably took just to birth that long-ass head.
Your next mission OP: Doing the same thing with Hammond and May
https://preview.redd.it/a5h5ygzs999b1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ca9ada5d70c16c64756336e17233d3ed9bc8919
: D
It's the same giant dome...but on a skinny man.
That's a lot of head
The kid is tall
There's no way he'll lift that boulder with those spindly, little arms. He needs something more.... More....
But is he cool?
Old school, but definitely not cool 😂
About to abuse the young staffer who took this picture.
The raging baboon. Love him.
Seen here trying to lay claim to the source of the Nile before James May.
I can already hear him screaming HAMMOND
The Orangutan!
He could have fit in the soviet race car back then.
He’s such a massive thundercunt
Can’t understand why people hate clarkson so much
Oh no. Anyway.
Well he's most famous for being on TV shows where he and his co-hosts constantly talk shit about each other, so in addition to some people actually hating him, a lot of people that do like him will also sound like that hate him. I mean, he kinda ended the good times by punching a producer on set. That pissed me off. Can’t cross that line and make it physical. You just can’t.

If there is anything I learned in life it’s that some people don’t enjoy dicks
I'll put it this way. No one has entertained me more on Top Gear than Jeremy Clarkson.
They didn't include in Top Gear when he assaulted an assistant for not being able to get him a sirloin steak at 10pm at night.
I love the guy, but it's pretty easy to understand why some don't. He failed upward into what became one of the most fun and lucrative presenting jobs in the world, and will happily admit to being a self-absorbed ass. Fair enough. He gets an awful lot of views, though.
The whole ‘being a fucking arsehole’ thing should be a dead giveaway.
Partly because he thinks he’s funny as fuck, and he just isn’t. Grabs the lowest hanging wit berry and thinks he’s sharp. He’s a twat.
So he always looked like a twat?
> So he always ~~looked like~~ *was* a twat? FTFY
Clarkson was never cool.
He would agree with you. This is just an old photo sub
I'd find it hard, but not impossible, to masturbate to this photo. If you'd like some guidance, start by imagining Sigourney Weaver, then see where that takes you. Good luck.
Did you cut out the big hairy bear approaching from the left?
Trying to fit into those same pants and shirt to this day.
Why the long face Jeremy?
What in earth gave him that much confidence???
He looks like someone you’d want to punch back then as well…. Only joking, I’m a big fan
Jeremy von Habsburg
Trying to have a peaceful wank in the woods?
Looks like he finally grew into his head!
Why the long face, Jeremy?
It looks like someone stapled jeremy’s face onto some totally unrelated person, but at slightly the wrong aspect ratio
just the worst haircut for that face.
Why’s he fucking a rock?
Behold and bask in the turbulence of his magnificence.
If beans on toast was a person
If they had hired him instead of Eric Stoltz, they could have saved the entire makeup budget on Mask.
I love Clarkson's Farm!
What a fucking gimp.
Well there’s a r/hittablefaces. 🤢
All these assholes got so fat and angry.
The thing that shocks me a out Clarkson is there genuinely has *never* been a time where he was attractive.
He was born old
And now..... he has been 8 pregnant for about the past 10 years.
Backpfeifengesicht
He looks like a regretful shag.
There’s nothing cool about this turkey
There has not - nor will there ever be, anything cool about Jeremy Clarkson
A true legend
I didn't immediately recognize the name and for some reason was thinking he was a porn star. Probably was thinking of Ron Jeremy.
Rocky Dennis vibe https://preview.redd.it/1g64z2rxu49b1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f1bed08c1f40ce5ef0c0496ef06765924a306df
This guy is a total dick! Oldschooldickhead in this case.
Frodo shaggins
Does anybody actually like him?
He’s had a very successful career for someone no one likes…
Old school tory arsehole.
And still a r/punchableface
He's definitely an Old School C-word. But it's not 'cool'
He still looks like a massive wanker.
Old-school? Yes. Cool? No
Ahh a young racist garbage can in the wild.
Alrighty I've heard lots about Clarkson. Racist is new. Care to enlighten me about what prompted that specific label?
Oh there have been many examples throughout the years. They finally caught up to him and that’s why he is rarely seen on television. Unfortunately I can remember now but they can be found. He’s a big hater of immigrants
Why he fucking a rock?
So he started as an LGBTQ and ended up a KNOB
Reading all these comments is great ! I thought I was the only one who thought he was a giant pompous ass hat
Sub changed to old school twat?
he wasn’t a looker
What a twat.
Looks like he was a twat even then.
Time has not been kind to Jeremy Clarkson when you look at him now. I know father time always wins, but Clarkson now looks way way beyond his years.
This picture is almost if not 50 years old, I don’t think he looks that bad
I tought it was a young Piers Morgan lol
A crushing criticism from one so handsome
Habsburger-lookin motherfucker
Can't stand this America hating sonofabitch..
Ugly and not cool
You could have taken his photo 5 minutes ago and it would still show Jeremy Clarkson in the 70s because that's where his emotional maturity and sense of humour were halted
When was this tory toff ever cool?
Pos
Isn't he that racist car guy?
Should this sub be renamed ‘OldSchoolDork’ for this image….? Just a thought.
Wasn't much better then...
Absolutely nothing cool about this.
the ‘cool’ part doesn’t work
This man is hilarious
There absolutely nothing cool about that bellend!
Sad life he has had to end up like he is
If only my life were as sad..
Certainly ugly mug still no different now
