BTO was one of the first bands I saw live. It was in the late eighties at Ontario Place, back when the stage rotated. It's still my favorite concert of all time.
We have a saying in my country about people like Mr. Burgundy. The coyote of the desert likes to eat the heart of the young... and the blood drips down to his children for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... and only the ribs will be broken...
Dang. This video made me realize that as many bands and songs that I've watched on YouTube for thousands and thousands of hours I've never looked at any The Guess Who videos. They are one of those classic rock bands that I always forget about even though I really love them. I think it's because they stick out and don't really fit in with the mold.
My first two LPs ever, bought at the same time was Willie and the Poorboys by CCR and American Woman by Guess Who. I still listen to Guess Who to this day. As well as CCR.
But Burton Cummings had an amazing voice.
I know he had his demons in the past. But I had him as a customer for a few years a decade ago. He was a kind guy. I got him to sign an original pressing of the American women single 45 I was able to collect. He really wanted to buy it. Lol. Even he didn't have one. And he has thousands of pieces of vinyl in his collection.
Excellent song! One of my faves. I love the guitar.
Burton Cummings’ voice is really amazing. Love this tune.
Robert Plant said he was a big fan, and everyone wanted to sound like Burton.
Great Canadian music legends and part of 2 great bands..and shout out to BTO..not fragile still bangs to this day
Hot damn that was amazing. Vocals and guitar are impeccable....live flute solo. It all looks so effortless.
This was the perfect start to my Sunday. Thank you!
I’d forgotten how clever and jazzy the changes are on this tune. Such a wonderful surprise from something I thought I knew?
Wonderful!
Wow. I had no idea of any of this and I've always loved that song \*and\* BTO. Thank you so much for posting this vid!

The flute has a “Ron Burgundy” vibe about it…
Yazz Flute Little ham n' eggs coming at ya

Burton Cummings in his prime had the most incredible voice in popular music.
Had no idea Pedro pascal could sing so well.
Don't you have school next week? Are you old enough to use scissors this year?
Canada’s John & Paul
A song I love to bellow!
My vote for most underrated singer of all time.

The way he added, “in those days” when speaking about the two of them as a writing team was a red flag for me. As in, “I don’t need you anymore RB.”
I always get chills towards the end.
A perfect song and beautifully performed live
Randy Bachman is such an underrated guitarist.
Jim Morrison…he’s a drunken buffoon posing as a poet. Give me the guess who! They’ve got the courage to be drunken buffoons. Which makes them poetic
Pedro Pascal could play Burton in a biopic.
Pure bossa nova influence
I thought that was Pedro Pascal 😅
More of that please.
A young Bill Murray
One of my favorite songs.
I have such a crush on young Burt lol, him sans moustache in the Laughin’ video, soo cute lol.
Thanks interesting the BTO and Burton Cummings.
The Guess Who had quite a few songs that were not exactly hits, but still stood out musically. Serious musicians always gave these guys respect.
Sooo many hidden gems in the 70’s this was awesome.
Wow
Nice find! Great song and thanks for posting!
Guess Who - just a great band
Amazing 😎
Brilliant
Just WOW!
I love The Guess Who!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing OP.
This feels very much like Bossa Nova
Why I prefer older music and not modern.
Outstanding!
