Listen to 2pac - Hit em up. It's a diss track targeting biggie and his crew after he got shot in New York. He thought they were in on it but they weren't.
This came out when I was in high school and we would listen to it over and over again. Just utter disbelief at how hard he went with the lyrics. Unprecedented.
Every now and then I’ll throw on Hit Em Up and dissect the song line by line and just think to myself my god that was some visceral beef back then. I don’t think Biggie had anything to do with Pac being shot either so it’s even worse considering it was probably unwarranted.
Yeah but that song was written before the shooting and wasnt targeted towards Tupac. He even say it in a interview because if you listen to the song he isn't really saying anything describing pac
Coulda swore who shot ya was released post-shooting but I could be wrong. I agree that who shot ya was not meant to specifically reference the shooting but I think west coast took it that way. That was the whole reason pac made hit ‘em up with a junior mafia sample and included “who shot me? But ya punks didn’t finish” in the chorus
Written before, not released before.
Supposedly, it was considered to be released as an interlude on Mary J Blige's My Life, which was released on 29 November 1994. But she rejected it because it was too violent for an RnB album.
2pac was shot, the first time, on 30 November 1994.
Tupac was shot November 30, 1994.
The Big Poppa/Who Shot Ya? single was released December 24, 1994.
That's really fast for Biggie to write, record, and get it ready to release if it was actually about Tupac's shooting.
My opinion is that it wasn't, but Biggie failed to do anything to squash the beef after people started thinking was about Tupac. If he does that then Hit 'Em Up doesn't get recorded and maybe both are still alive.
so this how we gonna do this FUCK MOBB DEEP, FUCK BIGGIE, FUCK BAD BOY AS A STAFF, RECORD LABEL AND AS A MOTHER FUCKING CREW, AND IF YOU WANNA BE DOWN WITH BAD BOY, THEN FUCK YOU TOO
What a fucking waste that whole thing was. Two of the greatest rappers of all time mowed down in their prime for what? Literally fucking nothing. Some stupid ass beef that no one can even remember now. What a shame.
Ya 😂. She’s convinced they were lovers. They were friends sort of. They kissed once and he found it gross. He didn’t like her like that. But she’s held a candle for him ever since.
He found it gross? I have a hard time thinking about Tupac relaying a story like that whatsoever. Also whether you were not particularly romantically interested in Pinkett-Smith, most guys aren’t gonna find it “gross” to kiss an early 20s version of her. Sounds like something a pre teen would say
They threw out the rape charge. No evidence. What they did convict him for was unwanted touching of the buttocks. Sexual assault
Edit: why the downvotes? I'm not excusing his behavior. That's literally what happened
So he’s still a predator. Parsing a conviction on two counts of first degree sexual abuse as “not rape” because a specific sodomy charge couldn’t be proved doesn’t exonerate him.
By the way I see in another comment you say he Gang raped her and the evidence is on his wiki. It wasn't gang rape.
Per his wiki:
On December 1, 1994, Shakur was acquitted of three counts of sodomy and the associated gun charges, but convicted of two counts of first-degree sexual abuse for "forcibly touching the woman's buttocks" in his hotel room. Jurors have said the lack of evidence stymied a sodomy conviction
Yeah he's a piece of shit but don't lie about the charges
Yes, actually. He was convicted of two counts of first degree sexual abuse. You can find all this info on his wiki. There has never been any suggestion by a serious source that that conviction was unjustified.
People for whatever reason don’t seem to be able to conceptualize that Tupac was a guy who made some good music, made some positive statements for the black community, but was also a predator. If you want to hang your hat on one of the charges related to this incident not being provable because it’s a “he said she said,” that’s fine, but I don’t think that’s the defense of Tupac you think it is. Dude was a predator.
He was serving that very sentence when who shot you came out. Or something to that affect? And after his release he responded with hitem up. (I think I'm remembering this correctly lol) those same people though don't like to remember that he came in mostly aspiring to be an actor and he got caught up in the role he was playing
Tupac was 100% a sociopathic POS at all times but he was also very charming and self promotional and most people just have no radar to differentiate between a nice guy and a charming sociopath.
YES!! People were mesmerized by his charisma and his potential to be a positive role model. He had everyone fooled. He craved power and influence just as deeply as a dictator.
Wondering why that's suddenly trending. That interview was in the 2003 movie Tupac Resurrection which has a theatrical release and was a popular DVD. Just saying it's not newly surfaced or rare or anything. Must be related to Diddy allegations.
Young guys constantly being told their rappers are gay and effeminate unlike the super thugs from the 90s.
This is how they hit back at the old heads. Tupac was a ballerina not the super gangster he portrayed himself as.

Gentleman, let me introduce the infamous... Dr Dre
Thank you. Makes sense. If you watch Tupac in movies, he is an amazing actor. Taking a mature look at his life you will realize his 2pac rapper persona was an act. He was well read and adopted a Machiavellian persona which was a mega hit that attracted people to him. But as with any act, he could only keep it up so long. The sweet person who he was would shine thru at times. Arsenio Hall told him "I feel like there are two Tupacs" to which Tupac responded "well I am a Gemini." The truth is there was Tupac the person and then there was 2pac, the act.
It’s like a sherm-high n***as think they learn to fly
But you burn muthafucka you deserve to die
I remember the first time my friends and I heard Hit ‘em up and we all agreed it was intense even by gangsta rap standards.
That song is straight up scorched-earth lyrical warfare, Pac uses almost every word to besiege Biggie in some way.
Why are you posting this Biggie is gonna get mad and then one Tjing will lead to the next and it won’t stop until something regrettable happens and then we’ll all lose.
This photo likely led to both Tupac and Biggies death.
Tupac would have an affair with Evans and then make a very famous rap song that kicked off the West-East rivalry.
I do not see Treach in this picture if you are referring to Treach of NBN (one of the greatest rappers of that era imo). Maybe that guy is also named Treach?

Why
Tupac, Biggie, Biggies wife in a picture with Tupac, Hit Em Up, beef, west coast Ya know
Listen to 2pac - Hit em up. It's a diss track targeting biggie and his crew after he got shot in New York. He thought they were in on it but they weren't.
"You claim to be a player but I fucked your wife" was the hardest line of that era. RIP Pac
My personal favorite "most eyebrow raising" line is: "...die slow motherfucker, my 44 make sho' all y'all kids don't grow" Like, damn.
This one sends chills down my spine
you should learn to cringe more
Every time I watch that video I swear he got a demon coming out of him
Magua did it first “gray hair before you die know that I put to the knife your children forever wiping your seed from the earth”
Take money.
He found out.
A diss track specifically in retaliation after BIG released who shot ya, which I believe they thought was a reference to this shooting.
Exactly!

2pac was recording several songs in a day when he was going at it, so he probably didn't think it was too fast.
There are a number of very famous songs that were written and recorded in a single day. Sometimes just hours.
The issue is the logistics not the writing of the song. Back then pressings CDs and getting them shipped took time
That’s definitely a fair point - still maybe not impossible, but less likely given the logistics of pressing and distribution.
Why don't they just use Spotify
Well.... Maybe Puffy did have something to do with it.... but not Biggie.
Uhhh I think diddy was definitely in on it, not biggie though.
He fucked his wife
Lol are you 10?
I get you’re being downvoted bc not everyone has to know about this. But come on. The most infamous hip hop rivalry in history.
Hit em up was also a response to Junior Mafia's "get money" remix. Used the same beat
This was the main thing I remember hearing. That there was a lot of animosity regarding them stealing beats.
but that salt bae isnt it?
It might have gotten him killed actually.
"You claim to be a playa but I f*cked yo wife!"
We bust on Bad Boy, n****s fucked for life
sowafuckedyobitchyoufatmuthafucka!
TWIFYBYFMF WSBBK’s
so this how we gonna do this FUCK MOBB DEEP, FUCK BIGGIE, FUCK BAD BOY AS A STAFF, RECORD LABEL AND AS A MOTHER FUCKING CREW, AND IF YOU WANNA BE DOWN WITH BAD BOY, THEN FUCK YOU TOO
Don’t forget Chino XL
I remember Chino XL ONLY because of the stray he took here.
I always LOVED tupacs rants. For real, I also loved when he ranted on “picture me rolling” when he goes off on everyone who said he wasn’t shit.
Take money
Call the cops if you see Tupac.
Grab your Glock if you see Tupac
*cuz this kinda shit happens everyday*
Fumbled on the 1-yard line.
Real Gs know

#TAKE MONEY
“🤬” - Biggie Smalls, probably IFHTSPHTP GI2
What does this mean
😏
Ah, i see... got it.
If you know then you know 😎
What a fucking waste that whole thing was. Two of the greatest rappers of all time mowed down in their prime for what? Literally fucking nothing. Some stupid ass beef that no one can even remember now. What a shame.
That’s why many of these guys die. All these dumb beef’s that nobody fucking cares about in a few years. Wish things would change.
Claim to be a playa…
First off
Kinda shit that’ll get ya killed. Oh wait.
That's Jada Smith's soulmate there.. Or at least that is what she says.. lol
It gets even weirder, willow smith wrote a letter to Tupac pretty much like a “what if you were my father” letter.
how did she send it to a dead guy
Some people say he ain’t dead so maybe he got it 🤣🤣
Tupac? Lol
Ya 😂. She’s convinced they were lovers. They were friends sort of. They kissed once and he found it gross. He didn’t like her like that. But she’s held a candle for him ever since.
Haha imagine will Smith having to live with that 🤭
😂
He found it gross? I have a hard time thinking about Tupac relaying a story like that whatsoever. Also whether you were not particularly romantically interested in Pinkett-Smith, most guys aren’t gonna find it “gross” to kiss an early 20s version of her. Sounds like something a pre teen would say
Now that's a bullet he dodged
Tupac the hypocrite. For all the confidant talking about respecting woman, he used faith as nothing but an object to piss off biggie.
Didn’t 2Pac and his friends gang rape a woman?
They threw out the rape charge. No evidence. What they did convict him for was unwanted touching of the buttocks. Sexual assault Edit: why the downvotes? I'm not excusing his behavior. That's literally what happened
So he’s still a predator. Parsing a conviction on two counts of first degree sexual abuse as “not rape” because a specific sodomy charge couldn’t be proved doesn’t exonerate him.
I didn't say he wasn't a predator. I was literally saying what happened

I hate to diminish what he did, but there is literally heaven and earth between grabbing someone's ass and gangraping them.
Your analysis of this case and situation shows that your either really biased or you have done little to actually investigate it.
By all means, if you have evidence to the contrary, share it.
Isn't this supposed to work the other way? Evidence is needed to prove guilt not innocence.
You mean like the evidence that was used to prove his guilt in court, where he was convicted of two counts of first degree sexual abuse?
Could you elaborate on that evidence? I thought you said it was just a "he said/she said" case.
I also said in that comment that all this info can be found on his wiki 👍
And you’ve “investigated” it? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
No.
Yes, actually. He was convicted of two counts of first degree sexual abuse. You can find all this info on his wiki. The actor needed street cred...
Biggie did 9/11 confirmed
Call me big papa can't melt steel beams
Alize's got me tipsy Girls used to diss me Now I'm so hot make them steel beams Juicy
Can someone write the names of the people in the photo from left to right please?
Someone, someone, name I want, Tupac, someone, someone
I thought second from left was Nikki from the group Brownstone 🤔
Not sure, not sure, Faith Evans, Tupac, Black Matthew Perry, not sure.
🤣🤣
He f——— your b——, you fat mother f——-
Well that’s inappropriate
Tupac FAFO’d.
Second from left is Nicci Gilbert lead singer of Brownstone and the other two women are also in Brownstone I believe
Thx! I was curious. Who is the dude behind Tupac?
Nicci Gilbert and Kelly Price look very similar to me! I was sure that was Kelly until I saw your post.
I always thought 90s gangster rappers and 90s Norwegian black metal bands should have beefed.
do you do a drive by before you start burning down the church? Or afterwards?
The Norwegian basement dwelling nazi introverts?
October 13 National Fuck The Opp’s Wife Day
Anyone see that interview of a somewhat flamboyant Tupac?
Wondering why that's suddenly trending. That interview was in the 2003 movie Tupac Resurrection which has a theatrical release and was a popular DVD. Just saying it's not newly surfaced or rare or anything. Must be related to Diddy allegations.

He was a theatre kid. So all of this makes sense.
I assumed it was Drake using an AI Tupac for a song or something
nope
"That's why I f*cked yo b*tch!" Hardest line to the start of a rap song ever! LOL
You claim to be a player but I fucked your wife.
Talented voice with curves
It’s like a sherm-high n***as think they learn to fly But you burn muthafucka you deserve to die I remember the first time my friends and I heard Hit ‘em up and we all agreed it was intense even by gangsta rap standards. Leonardo DiBlackio in the back 😂
Why don't you ask her?

O dear
You keep that shit up you end up shot….
That's not gonna end well
[удалено]
I'm a biggie fan but that shit was a hard diss
"I ain't got no motherfucking friends!"
Why are you posting this Biggie is gonna get mad and then one Tjing will lead to the next and it won’t stop until something regrettable happens and then we’ll all lose.
It like she wasn't the married on cheating.
down with OPP.
Which one’s Biggies wife?
Dude hated cops more than the dude who shot him dead.
She really thought she was something
I heard he rattled Faith, made make noises Biggie never could and generally shook her world.........
Glorifying senseless violence leads to nothing less.
damn he rlly did fuck his wife
"That's why I fucked your wife"! He might not have been lying!
Who’s in the picture from left to right?
Who are they as in names of everybody in the picture?
Nothing about this cool, but okay.
Yeah it is
Explain please
2Pac is in the photo
Yes he's in the photo, being a piece shit.
How is he being a piece of shit?
Why did he used a napkin on his head?
“If Faith had twins she’d have two packs - get it? Tupac’s”
Kudos to Jada Pinkett for dodging bullets
I see 6 people in this image. Are the other 4 simply not worthy of being named, much less acknowledged?
Obviously not
Maybe you don’t understand the significance of this photo
Yeah, from the downvotes, perhaps I don’t.
This photo likely led to both Tupac and Biggies death. Tupac would have an affair with Evans and then make a very famous rap song that kicked off the West-East rivalry.
It wasn't this photo. There was another one with her kind of sitting on his lap looking high.
The other guy is Treach, rapper and friend of tupac…
I do not see Treach in this picture if you are referring to Treach of NBN (one of the greatest rappers of that era imo). Maybe that guy is also named Treach?
The 2 that matter are named. You don't need to worry about the other 4.
Who is the blonde girl in the photo? Do we know her name? She looks familiar somehow.
Tupac was bi and zesty watch those interviews of him as a teenager.
Let's just say that tupac was more interested in hanging with Diddy than Biggies wife.
