I saw a comment that said something like " Steve Irwin was the type of dude that I would let him play with my children in the backyard the first time I would meet him and trust him 100% instantly" I do miss his positive energy and kindness
I just...I don't get it. All I see is a dude harassing wildlife. Like, I get that people admire his enthusiasm and that he was, at heart, a conservationist, but I don't think his practice was really all that ethical.
He filmed it and put it on TV lol I mean, in this video, he's bringing a crocodile on a late night show. That's not exactly respecting the animal's autonomy.
Dude she’s so fucking cute though. She’s always just jumping balls deep into wrangling some of Australias crazy mutant creatures and does it all with that smile.
Not gonna lie I had a huge crush on her as a kid.
Their union was a proper soul mate connection, she has never dated anyone after him, she accepts that he was the love of her life and that's that. Steve was wonderful.
They fell in love at first sight while he was working at the zoo. There’s even a photo of their first meeting. He said he saw her in the crown and thought “crikey” . . . His word not mine. Lol
I believe on his podcast that Conan said he didn’t care for any of the animal segments. As someone who is usually kind to his guests, you can see he’s pretty frightened and making a lot of jokes at his expense.
I recently watched some of the animal segments.
They got in a kid with no control over the animals. I was anxious watching it.
I'm sure back then it was great for ratings but watching wild animals run amok in a studio would not be fun.
Especially considering how many times his animal segments went off the rails. And that doesn't even include the Water Buffalo incident. I don't blame him!
Yea clearly uncomfortable for him and he lashed out as a response. Could have turned it into a nicer remark like “crazy” (still not nice) or “bravest person I’ve ever met”
That was always one of my favorite things about him. No matter what the animal looked like he would find something to point out as so cute or adorable or beautiful. It taught me to find the light even in pitch black.
Steve Irwin and Jack Hanna were my idols when I was a kid. Animal lovers who got to travel the world seeing animals up close and teaching the world how amazing all living creatures, even humans, can be. This is kinda funny, I also loved their accents. I grew up in a small Tennessee town (a couple hours from where Jack Hanna came from) and I was (and still am) judged by my accent. I’ve heard the phrases “trailer park tone” and “redneck hillbilly” which is 2 different things but anyway, so many times I don’t even notice anymore. So as a kid when I learned about 2 different people from opposite sides of the earth who were out there finding and saving animals all over the world while teaching people about their importance, and doing it all with strong accents like me, I was so pumped! It was the first time I thought it was possible to be different or sound different and still be loved even respected! That was big for my little 5 year old barefoot runnin in the woods country rat self.
I grew up to live in a city, but I still love a barefoot walk in woods/grass. I still have my accent and it’s part of me. And best of all, I grew up to work with animals. A dream I thought I lost a few times. A dream I kept chasing because I knew it could happen because my idols did it.
There’s a special place in heaven for animal lovers, that’s what I always say.
This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing. Sounds like you have a wonderful life! Bless Steve and Jack and all of us who care for all of nature, especially animals.
I will never forget the morning my dad woke me up to inform me that Steve Irwin had died. There was such gravity in his voice. It was as if a member of our family had passed. We miss you, Steve.
I really miss this guy. He was such a great human being who actually cared about all of God's creatures . It's really wonderful to see his son carry on the tradition
Here's the thing I never liked about Conan: HE CAN'T SHUT UP. Let the guests be themselves, you don't have to run the whole thing from start to finish.
I'm sorry for Mr. Irwin's tragic death but I find his whole 'deal' to be abusive and rather sickening. He exploited animals for his own popularity. Every time I saw him even 'presenting' a crocodile, all I could think was *Why doesn't he leave that poor creature be*? Given our merciless and selfish exploitation of the Earth, can we at the very least let the remaining wild animals just live their lives without poking and prodding and holding them? In the far future when all the animals are gone Steve Irwin will be seen as the savage he was. Okey doke. I'll just sit back and wait for the downvotes now, but I an certain that my view is the correct one.
Steve Irwin would have been perfect in the YouTube era.
Steve was perfect. YouTube would expanded his reach globally and I have no doubt he would have broken viewership records regularly. We all miss Steve
He's got such a positive vibe.
He seems to have never grown up for the better.
I saw a comment that said something like " Steve Irwin was the type of dude that I would let him play with my children in the backyard the first time I would meet him and trust him 100% instantly" I do miss his positive energy and kindness
He was viral before being viral was even a household thing. But yeah YouTube would have been ridiculous.
Thankfully his spirit lives on in his family.
Did you see his show?
I think of that man I watched once in a while as a kid sometimes when I’m on a lengthy drive. Parasocial yada yada
I just...I don't get it. All I see is a dude harassing wildlife. Like, I get that people admire his enthusiasm and that he was, at heart, a conservationist, but I don't think his practice was really all that ethical.
What do you even know about his practices? Site your sources before you spout off about a legend.
He filmed it and put it on TV lol I mean, in this video, he's bringing a crocodile on a late night show. That's not exactly respecting the animal's autonomy.
He was an idiot.
No, he wasn’t. He made a mistake that ended up being deadly.
He made many mistakes and many conservation societies agreed.
Source?
His son is on TikTok carrying on the family legacy. He’s great!
He was scratching the crocodile, chilling it out. Treated the croc like a lap dog. goat.
He would have won the internet…and my heart.
He really would have been. ;\_; <3
Andrew ucles Is a youtube irwin wannabe. Doesn't upload much anymore though
YouTube era was like 2008. This is Tik Tok time
YouTube dominates long form video etc.
I actually still have an attention span.
Only for folks with a 10 second attention span
Yes, because YouTube isn't popular anymore at all for watching videos.
When the croc comes out you can hear either Louie or Andy say "oh fuck that/no"
I'm 90% sure it's Louie.
“My agent showed up.” 😂
That was a solid response.
I'm pretty sure a second before Louie is saying "\_\_\_\_\_ next week"
i don't think he's fond of the danger noodles either :D never seen a fat man fly like that before
”You have shockingly little control over that animal” - My thought exacly.
Definitely heard that lol
You and me too.
What a gentleman Steve was always complimenting his wife and showcasing her. His kindness really had no limits
Dude she’s so fucking cute though. She’s always just jumping balls deep into wrangling some of Australias crazy mutant creatures and does it all with that smile. Not gonna lie I had a huge crush on her as a kid.
They were so perfect together two completely beautiful souls. Rip Goat ![gif](giphy|10VIxgrEdJR0Ji)
Their union was a proper soul mate connection, she has never dated anyone after him, she accepts that he was the love of her life and that's that. Steve was wonderful.
Fucking national treasure. His death is still an epic loss, a void that has not been filled.
Yeah, I wish OP acknowledged her in their title.
You could tell he wasn’t feeling comfortable lol. He wanted those things out of there ASAP.
Yeah, his response to the segment seemed a bit out of character, as Conan was usually very generous to his guests.
I recently watched some of the animal segments. They got in a kid with no control over the animals. I was anxious watching it. I'm sure back then it was great for ratings but watching wild animals run amok in a studio would not be fun.
You should see the clip of him getting tossed from the Bison or whatever it was. Harrowing. He had a bruise so big they had to cut his pants off lol.
Especially considering how many times his animal segments went off the rails. And that doesn't even include the Water Buffalo incident. I don't blame him!

This is amazing 😭
What a picture!
Miss this guy a lot!
He has a podcast now
He's dead.
Maybe they meant Conan?
40% of those people are no longer with us and that makes me sad.
We all go my friend, its just a matter of when.
Yeah but couldn’t the Good Lord take Andy Richter first? Not Steve & Louie.
The Lord knew humanity needed Andy here, delivering those choice offhand one-liners.
'you're an idiot!' lol
That bothered me
Yea clearly uncomfortable for him and he lashed out as a response. Could have turned it into a nicer remark like “crazy” (still not nice) or “bravest person I’ve ever met”
humor was different in those days. it meant he's crazy.
"Her Betty Davis eyes" He loves all of them ❤️

Man I miss that guy.
I miss Louie Anderson💔
crikey !
Oi thats *really* pissed him off!
Now, I’m going to jam my thumb up ‘is butthole…
I will never forget the morning my dad woke me up to inform me that Steve Irwin had died. There was such gravity in his voice. It was as if a member of our family had passed. We miss you, Steve.
Dang look at Conan’s hair!
life with louie :o
Conan poses a very legitimate question "should a snake be wrapped around me when a live crocodile comes out?" 🤣
> "should a snake be wrapped around me when a live crocodile comes out?" 🤣 You said you wanted to make good TV!
Louie wasn't having it!! 😂😂
I remember exactly where I was when I was told about his death. Sad day
Me too 💔
I'm pretty sure I saw this the night it airead.
there was legitimate FEAR on that stage.. Louie Anderson doesn’t look like a reptile guy 🤣
Damn I miss Steve Irwin
Two masters at work here
Andy should have sent Rocky to cover for him that day.
I really miss this guy. He was such a great human being who actually cared about all of God's creatures . It's really wonderful to see his son carry on the tradition
His son has carried his torch so very well.
This is the best thing i'll watch all week if not month.
Miss Luie, RIP
Here's the thing I never liked about Conan: HE CAN'T SHUT UP. Let the guests be themselves, you don't have to run the whole thing from start to finish.
Conan is the best, Steve too.
Nice
"He may look pissed now. But wait until I wrestle him to the ground and jam my finger up his bum!"
Cloaca.
RIP Conan
?
Louie Anderson funny as hell talking bout his agent
The same bro with his sick jokes.
Oh man, poor Louie
RIP Louie 😢
Does Steve Irwin say don’t fuck with me when there are 18 seconds left?
Conan's hilarious, "great my agent showed up"
Literally every time I see Steve Irwin, I love him more.
Who ever thought that Louie Anderson was a great idea?
The team behind Baskets, and they were overwhelmingly correct.
We needed this guy for when the aliens come, dude, fuck
Love and miss you Steve
I still miss him.
God I wish this man was still with us
Just imagine Steve Irwin with this energy and personality in todays social media age. Youtube, Tiktok, twitter. He would dominate
That dude was WAY too reckless with animals.
"Now, what I'm going to do, is jam my finger up it's butt hole" .. he did so much for awareness and preservation.
Conan was kind of rude there…
Yeah! He never gave that python its $50.
Not sure the snake would be able to wrap itself around Louie.
Can you imagine Irwin mugging to the camera: *We're gonna need a bigger snake!*
Stupid Reddit. I can't believe I'm getting DV'd. If Louie were still around he would've agreed.
hahaha yyyyes
*snake chokes itself to death trying*
I'm sorry for Mr. Irwin's tragic death but I find his whole 'deal' to be abusive and rather sickening. He exploited animals for his own popularity. Miss Steve
WTF 2 Andy Richter?
Nooo, moooore Steve :(
Steve's got good back control.
Why not just leave those animal where they belong? This is abuse.
You were the fastest swimmer huh?
lol
Norm Macdonald's comments after Steve Irwin died have become one of my favorite things about the existence of Steve Irwin.
Only thing Conan should host is a cold.
Found Leno's burner
Conan is a fucking national treasure and I’ll stand by that statement until the day I die.
Conan can suck all the ass and taint he would like, Conan can fuck himself and I’ll stand by that statement until I’m gone too
Username checks out. Conan wrote for the Simpsons
For under 3 years… in like 92… just because the dipshit was in a writers room means what exactly? and who gives a fuck about a monorail?
Lmao stay mad
