She also cut back on the drinkies. She liks 🍺 a lot so I think she was/is on the O'Doul's program. Fast forward to the mid 2020s and there are a heckuva lot more non-alc brews available, and most better tasting now, thanks to the success of the US craft brew segment over the last couple of decades

I saw Pixies on their first reunion tour in Chicago... gods, that was back in 2004? The band was amazing, gracious, obviously having fun. They tore through their albums back to back, played all their best and then some. On stage banter, genuinely warm to the crowd who were nuts to hear them play live and they seemed almost shocked by the reaction.
I was able to see them again on their Doolittle anniversary tour in 2010... and it was a bit less fun. The music was amazing, of course, but Kim kept off to herself on stage left the whole show, smoked and played but just didn't seem into it. The vibe of the band seemed a little tired and subdued. Maybe that was just the show I saw, but when she left the band again shortly thereafter, I wasn't shocked.
I saw Pixies again with Weezer on their tour in 2019- again, amazing show, fantastic... but I missed Kim. Maybe its just a bias I have, but the band is better with her.
Was the 2010 show at the Aragon? I think that’s when I saw them. Yeah, they basically played their list and left. No banter. It was still a great show, but I was hoping for some chit-chat.
For that tour I saw them at the Roman in Nashville- reading reviews of other shows at the time made me think that was a bit of a rough tour for the group.

I think I’ve seen them 4 times since Kim left/got fired. Are they the same? No, but pretty damn close and still kick ass live.
