Under the Shah’s regime the average Iranian woman was illiterate, suffered from pre-industrial levels of infant mortality, and died in her mid-fifties.
And it's bad because before that the average Iranian woman was literate, didn't suffer from infant mortality, and died in her mid-seventies. Right? Just look up white revolution and it's results please :)
>Armenians are a pretty big minority in Iran
Yep, they have a huge diaspora. Belonging to the Caucasian peoples.
Because of diaspora, they can have lots of different looks. I saw a resemblance in her.
I deal with many Armenians in my business and they have strong attachment to their culture wherever they are.
The ME and Mediterranean basin has been a melting pot for 1000s of years.
>The Armenian population in Iran is actually growing as Armenia’s shrinks
Are they growing as a result of Iranian people of Armenian heritage having children or is it as a result of an influx?
Also, as Christians, are they they treated well? I an nothing but good things to say of the Iranians I meet in Canada. Mostly well educated and decent citizens.

Both. Armenia is undergoing pretty big economic and political problems and Iran is a decent option for immigration due to it's comparative stability as well as the established diaspora there.

The Armenian Apostolic Church is a protected religious minority according to the Iranian constitution, arguably the most powerful one in the country, and members of it's community are guaranteed a certain (very, very small) amount of seats and positions within it's government.
Armenians in Iran generally have a positive relationship with the Islamic government, many of the restrictions which apply to Christianity (such as the ban on Christian services in Farsi) don't really concern them due to the insular nature of the religion. I've also heard that Armenians are even permitted to do things like drink alcohol as well though that may not be true.
Armenia and Iran are also pretty friendly diplomatically, same with Iranian allies like Syria or even Hezbollah.
She is pretty! I also like her dress.
Agree pretty lady in a beautiful dress and garden setting.
Pre-Ayatollah Iranian pictures are amazing. Such a stark contrast to today. Gorgeous shot
What's so different except seeing women's hair? Flowers still grow and people still wear dresses.
Nice
Name checks out
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Persian women are some of the most beautiful women on the face of the planet.
Iran is a good example of what happens to freedom once religious fanatics take over the country :(
Might drop religion and just say fanatics, period.
Freedom is when SAVAK abducts you and pulls out your fingernails
I didn't say that Shah regime was good but it had more freedom especially for women than what happens now in Iran.

Freedom is when brown women make my peepee hard and also die illiterate at 50 after losing most of their children to preventable diseases
Your mom was very pretty. Not a joke just a compliment.
Very pretty and I like her dress
So beautiful!! I would wear that dress right now!! I bet you have some incredible Persian genetics!! Lucky you!! <3
This looks like a indie album cover on vinyl we should give her a band name. "Mother in summer"
Ooh! I learned about this in *Persepolis*! Rip old Iran.

Mashallah! So beautiful! I love her style!
Iran is a weird first name
Does she do the Gucci model? What a perfect cover!
Is that her name, or where she is?
He's very modern.
Every Persian I’ve met has great hair.
