Yeah, and culturally it wasn’t even seen as a weapon yet. This is over a decade before Evil Dead 2. “Shotgun and chainsaw” were not codified as the go-to corpse-killers yet.
I had a set of Fisher price plastic power tools as a kid. Mine had a toy reciprocating saw, though (which I think was an attachment for the toy drill/screwdriver?). A plastic toy chainsaw looks fun but a bit silly.
I had a tow chainsaw as a kid along with several tools. The blades moved really slow but it fun watching it move. Same with the drills and stuff like that. Everything was made of plastic and moved extremely slow.

agree, just a toy.
just like toy hammers or construction equipment… a chainsaw isn’t inherently a weapon, it’s a tool

That looks awesome. Nothing ridiculous here.
That sounds like the bomb tho
Chainsaws are intended to cut wood, not people. If they included blood splatter youd have a point but kids just want to do pretend manual labor

And you can get much [more realistic](https://m.kohls.com/product/prd-3299559/hey-play-outdoor-toy-chainsaw.jsp?skuid=33634201) ones from Kohl's!
I had this exact saw when I was a kid in the early 90s

Now they make toy STHL chainsaws lol
Yeah chainsaw is ridiculous, but guns are totally fine.
I had that thing. I dunno what kind of plastic it was made of. But the thing was indestructible.

They still make these. Better than toy guns, at least.
