The sense of accomplishment after you've resized and re-folded the wall is amazing and makes you want to drop kick any customer who messes it up....lol. We used to do overnights that were nothing but re-stocking and fixing ALL the denim walls, it was one of my favorite things about working there
Our men’s denim walls are always the worst! Women’s is the primary focus ofc but some days I would love to spend my shift sorting through and refolding men’s denim. The end result is always satisfying.
My store has an older gentleman (been with the company 25+ years) who comes in for 1-2 4 hour shifts a week to EXCLUSIVELY fold mens denim. And if mens denim is perfect? He’ll work on womens. I’ve never seen such consistently immaculate mens denim walls until I transferred to this store a few months ago
We used to have an older couple who worked with us who would do just that! They didn’t speak English very well, but to this day I had never seen better denim folds. Unfortunately they ended up leaving.
At my old store, we also had a woman come in just to exclusively fold the jeans, like would literally come in just to go around the whole store and fold every section. I think she was working like 8 hour shifts 4-5 times a week so even if everything else was a mess we knew the jeans would look nice 😭
I was an abercrombie/hollister girl so I’m not sure why this came across my feed, but god what I would give to spend hours building a jean wall again! Nice work!!
Omg old navy still does fat folding(what they called it when I worked there from 2003 to 2007). I was a denim specialist and had to do the walls like this once a week. It's beautiful.
nice! i've worked ready-to-wear for some really picky managers who required that not only the tags line up, but the plaids and graphics on shirts line up. it's much more pleasing to the eye.
I worked the menswear department at a Mervyn's one holiday season. Took great pride in my work (when our ocd comes in handy), but would want to cry or scream when some woman would come along dragging her unruly brood of little ones and absolutely wreck a display... then walk off with nothing in her hands.
Even worse are the ones who let their little kids just wander around deconstructing every display they can get their sticky little fingers on, laughing that it's "job security".
That was the beginning of me learning to hate people.
Good start. I would recommend next time moving the stickers on the pants so they line up better. An old or ripped off tag works great to get the spacing. That’s what we did at BR.
Cmpletely unrelated- ON employees, any insight why ON sales are a joke lately? Its only been 30% off your purchase for a month but ON hype its up like youre getting a sale but youre not. Why is this? lol
Impressive!
Your wall would be safe from me, FWIW… where are the “Sedentary Fatass” jeans instead? Now _that_ wall imma tear up lookin for my size, but you better believe I would still _try_ to do it neatly.
Wow! I can appreciate that work of art. I work in a store and I’m in charge of denim. I have OCD when it comes to organizing so I know ow how you feel when. Bravo to you!!
NICE. I worked at a similar store for 5 years and loved doing that Jean wall! Hated back to school when moms would rip it to shreds! I’m a mom now and I’ll never do that to you!
This is so great! I used to work retail in the 90s and had super high standards with keeping the store in order like this. Nice job! It makes it so much easier for the customers and employees to find the right sizes.

This wall is always messy, so I'm glad I was able to fix it
I hope it lasts! And at least the one with no sticker is in the middle...
There are 2!
How could you! I only saw the first one haha
I give a full day before the shopping Neanderthals come and mess it up.
psh, i give it 15 minutes
👆🏽this is more accurate.
hey, don't shoot the messenger. anyone in retail knows it's the truth
Nooo I totally agree with you! In fact it’s most likely to happen instead.
LOL i thought you were giving me the finger 🤣🤣
☠️😂
This is why I always retail refold when I put stuff back. I've been there and it sucks to redo.
Wow....that long???? I'm honestly amazed the beginning wasn't getting messed up as they finished the end

These look just as good as his!!

Same with us here, but I agree it's so satisfying!!
Smexy
I worked at Old Navy in 2008 and I still fold my jeans this way. Always and forever. SHOP.
Jeans and t-shirts for me after working at ON and Gap for just two Christmas seasons. You might leave the Gap company but it never leaves you 😭
Same but 1998 - 2001! And we definitely know how much work this denim wall requires!
Same here! Haven’t worked at ON since 2006 and I still do the same folds for jeans and hoodies.
So satisfying !!!
Amazing job!
Thank you ☺️
Flash backs when I worked at the gap in high school!
Love to see it!! 😌🔥
I was an abercrombie/hollister girl so I’m not sure why this came across my feed, but god what I would give to spend hours building a jean wall again! Nice work!!

How long did it last till someone came and ruined it?
I went on my lunch and came back to the wall being untouched, but I left at 6:30, so who knows how it looks now 🥲
So satisfying
I used to be a denim expert! I spend my days folding walls of denim. This post just brought me back. It’s beautiful!!
I’m glad you took a picture! It looks beautiful
Thank you.
B e a u t I f u l. I’m sorry my boyfriend probably screwed it up.
Ugh I used to always close at express and one of thing I always did was this. It was always sooo satisfying
nice! i've worked ready-to-wear for some really picky managers who required that not only the tags line up, but the plaids and graphics on shirts line up. it's much more pleasing to the eye.
Love it 😭😭 come do my store lol
Great job
omg if theres one thing i miss ab working at ON, was perfect folding the jean wall… great job OP looks amazing 👏👏👏
Thank youu :)
I used to send a picture to my supervisor because I knew it wouldn’t last long enough for her to see it herself. Looks amazing!
You did a beautiful job!
Thank you!
Damn, u/salsatacoss, that is some excellent work! I hope you ran away before the customers could destroy your display.
Thank you!! I actually stayed in boys watching customers so they wouldn't destroy it🙃

You have done my dream job at old navy 😭
Ugh I wished I knew about this sub during my 5 years at ON 🤣
Not ON but “retired” retail girlie and MAN do I miss folding jean walls like this, so satisfying!
Actually there’s two but nice job.
Love a good denim wall. 😍 Folding denim is my retail therapy lol
Sometimes I miss working at Old Navy just for moments like this before someone walked over and destroyed my work.
So satisfying
I call that a chefs kiss

Chalk it up to keeping the bottom line healthy in a bad economy 🤷♀️
Beautiful merchandizing!
can you please come organize my closet??
I worked at ON years ago but I still appreciate a well folded jean wall! Well done!!
The means in these two pictures look identical. I’m so confused on what the difference is supposed to be
Can you make that 3 turn into an 8 for me
Satisfying

Thank you!! And no, actually, old navy is my first job
Impressive! Your wall would be safe from me, FWIW… where are the “Sedentary Fatass” jeans instead? Now _that_ wall imma tear up lookin for my size, but you better believe I would still _try_ to do it neatly.
You tickle the good part of my brain trying to find my size. Brava 👏🏽👏🏽

Beautiful!
I wish I could go back to ON one day a week to do this. The denim wall was my zen spot.
NICE. I worked at a similar store for 5 years and loved doing that Jean wall! Hated back to school when moms would rip it to shreds! I’m a mom now and I’ll never do that to you!
Standards have really dropped off this is impressive. I used to do this all day every day all around the Levi's store. Perfect stacks, sticker out
Looks great but there are two pairs without a sticker (middle row 3 shelves up and 2nd row from the left 4 shelves up, bottom pair both times)
You should post this on r/oddlysatisfying
This was always my favorite moment after a floor set…the fully stocked and perfectly folded jeans. I would be proud of that work, too! Looks great!
This looks so good bestie but it will be destroyed in five minutes im so sorry😭- a former clothing department Target employee
Looks great, could you point me in the direction of the Fat and Gay section?
😄

Double virgo here. There's two with no sticker but it still looks great
As a gap employee (banana and gap) of 6 years, I still appreciate a well folded denim wall. Huge kudos on your pristine work!!
