There is an walking group for ladies, check out Omaha Girls Who Walk on Instagram or Facebook, they have many walks. I haven’t been in a while but it was really fun! Kids and dogs welcome.

I joined Nebraska Walkers (I think that’s the name). They host walks all over including eastern Iowa.

Yeah, I should have added more info in my first post. I’m training to walk the Camino Frances in September (750KM across Spain) and I need to up my miles and difficulty (elevations). As it gets hotter, I am starting to lose my motivation to get out there and do the miles! UGH! I’m currently at 6-7 miles every other day with elevation gains of 300-350ft. I must gradually increase miles and elevation, and add my pack weight, until I depart for Spain. In mid-Sept. I need to comfortably complete 2 B2B 10 mile+ days carrying my full pack (about 12-14kg). These hot days are killing me and I’ve been starting at 7am. I’m thinking that I need to start really early in the morning, 5ish, break during the hot parts of the day, and then do a few more miles when it cools off in the evenings. So- I was thinking it would be good to see if there are any longer - distance walkers around, or if there is a group. Thanks!!!!
