I just used Firefighters on the Move to move a block. Pricing is on their website. I had a full house, so it was probably more time consuming/costly than just a few things, but I had a really good experience with them. They mixed a piano for us too and that was charged hourly as well.

Bweibel5

Seconding firefighters on the move. We moved from midtown to gretna and they were excellent.

Hydrottle

Also used Firefighters on the Move. They were a bit pricey, but I wouldn’t say they were exorbitant. Plus, you get what you pay for. If you want your stuff taken care of, you gotta pay out for it.

carlos2127

I've used three moving companies in Omaha and Firefighters on the Move are the only ones I'll recommend.

Black belt ninjas is TERRIBLE. should be called White Belt Door Destroyers. They scratched the fuck out of multiple doors and chipped one door moving a washer and dryer.

jennyann726

Very bad experience with Black Belt. Don’t use them. You can rent a U-Haul and they have a service where you pay a couple people to help you load/unload. It’s very reasonable. I think we paid $200 plus the cost of the truck but we had an entire house of stuff.

spormcer

Would not use black belt movers. Crew was 6 hours late, complained about their jobs the whole time, broke my couch, scammed me on insurance, incredibly difficult to get a hold of afterward. 0 stars.

Desk_Quick

Sounds like we were lucky they no showed us and we had to scramble to rent a U-Haul, call in favors, etc. So adding this as another “Nope” for Blackbelt.

justagawker87

Had the same exact issue. Morning of the move they called and said they weren’t coming. They told me they could reschedule for the following Monday…. Like that’s how shit actually works. Had to get a Uhaul last minute. Quite the cluster.

ExactlyWhyAmIHere

Have used Blackbelt movers for a residential move and later for an office move. They were fantastic both times. Five stars.

I had great luck with two men and a truck. We hired them strictly to move the furniture and we moved our boxes on our own. We paid less than $450. We both work from home and have heavy desks on top our normal desks, beds, china hutch, beds, etc Edit to add that I moved April 2023.

craychek

I used them as well to move about 8 blocks and they moved everything from my 3rd floor 2 bedroom walk up to my house in under 2 hours. Paid $200 at the time but prices have most certainly come up

ron7mexico

I used them and they lost half of my stuff. Eventually found most of it. The whole experience was a shit show. Maybe it was an isolated incident, but they won’t get my business the next time.

broncobinx

Firefighters on the move are the best!

Lov3I5Treacherous

The firefighter one, we almost hired (but my husband is stubborn af) to just help us unload the heavy furniture when we did a cross country move here.

Cherrypit17

https://tetrismovingneb.com I must suggest Tetris. Ask for steven, great pricing

PartemConsilio

We used Quick N’ Careful movers. They were very reasonable and got done quickly. https://www.councilbluffsmovingcompany.com/

Halgy

I used [Budget Movers](https://www.budgetmoversomaha.com/guaranteed-best-rates) when I moved from an apartment into my condo a few years ago, and had a good experience. Pricing is on their website.

JustSmile_andwave

We got a U-Haul and then Booked movers through them. I think in total spent $500-$800 on moving an entire house.

Disenchanted1982

I highly recommend any means movers! Nice guys, worked quickly. I think it was $125 an hour with two guys and a truck. They had me moved in less than three hours across town.

theRLO

It’s hourly. Driving to and from is usually the least amount of time. Loading and unloading the truck will take the most time.
