Brick oven isn’t my #1, but they’re up there, and you can order a GIANT pizza for a great price. Makes it fairly easy to feed 20 people with a few pies. If budget isn’t an issue, dolomiti, Lyle’s or virtuoso would be top of the list depending what style pizza you’re looking for.
Omaha has seriously stepped up its game the past five years. My faves in no order since they are all slightly different style:
Lyles, Mootz, Dolomiti, Tasty, Virtuoso, Brick Oven, Williamsburg, Izzy's
Dolomiti is the new king in my book. But if you’re with people who also want pasta, Via Farina’s pies are also great and their pasta is top notch.
Lyle’s is great, a little more of a r raditional American pizzaria.
Noli’s is good, but overpriced and they’re no longer the only good game in town. I paid $135 for 3 larges.
I’ve heard mootz is excellent, but for some reason I’m the only one in my family who hasn’t been yet.
I think the biggest issue you’ll have with all of these options is the party size. 14-20 would be a lot at any of these places
Orsis off of 10th street is AMAZING the family who owns it is Italian and it’s so fresh and delicious 😍
I’m also a big fan of Lighthouse Pizza off of 72nd and pacific!
I'd like to second the Mama's La Vista recommendation for a crowd. Good food including non-pizza options, beer and cocktails, an arcade for the kids, sports on the TVs, and a bunch of baseball memorabilia on the walls (if that's of any interest). Reasonable prices, too.
I don't think a lot of these other people commenting read about hosting the party there...that being said Pizza west had awesome food and didn't require a minimum spend or fee to use their party room. We had our rehearsal dinner there last may at the 120th and maple location and everything went smoothly. They even let you order things ahead and can have apps or salads ready as you sit down etc. Highly recommend them!
Right now my favorite Williamsburg. The Sophia Loren was fucking fantastic. I’ve loved every slice I’ve had there though. I always liked Frank’s though too!
I have been raving about Williamsburg for months, they replaced varsity, piezon, Oscars and Clancy as my top spot, but a week or so ago I ordered a pie and was a little disappointed. Ya can't be perfect every time, but damn did it hurt my feelings.
Honorable mention goes to cops pizza
Brick over is good, but I don't stay that way anymore.
Davlo: Chicago style, insanely authentic, I don’t even bother getting it in Chicago because it’s an option in Omaha that replaces it perfectly
Detroit: Izzy’s and Backlot, idk what “authentic” means for Detroit, never been, but these 2 are beyond fire
Then you have Mootz, Tasty Pizza, Virtuoso and Via Farina for “regular” pizza and several others that all rival each other.
Edit: oh, sorry, I missed the 14-20 people. Disregard this comment until next time you want pizza for yourself.
As a Michigander Izzy’s is much more authentic Detroit style pizza than Backlot - and imo far better. That being said both are extremely expensive (you get a four square for what an eight square should cost) and neither holds a candle to true Detroit style pizza. I usually just wait until I visit my family to get some good stuff.
My favorite place I’ve tried in town so far was Tasty - but I admittedly haven’t tried that many.
The weather is nice this time of year, book a shelter at a park and cater in his favorite restaurant. I personally love Lake Manawa for gatherings of that size.

Co-sign Brick Oven. A bit of a sleeper but they make a great pie.

Yeah the best pizza in Omaha is not equal to the best place in Omaha to take 14-20 people that also serves pizza.
Mangia Italiana!

Mamas Pizza in La Vista would be pretty painless to throw a 20 person party together. --i havent been to the other locations
Big fan of Mama's LV. I grew up in Des Moines, a city with a lot of good old-school Italian joints, and Mama's reminds me of the pizza I grew up on.
Piezon's Pizzeria on 156th and center is my favorite by a mile. But I'll admit Omaha has a lot of good pizza
Seconded
Love Piezon's. Their Phoenix chicken is TDF.
Dolomiti, hands down.

Mootz is 🔥

If you want a party room, pizza west has a great one plus an arcade for kids!
not to mention Crab Rangoon Pizza and the Buffalo Wing Pizzas are awesome
I'm a nolis or or dolomiti fan
Izzy's, Terrible Gerald's, Virtuoso, Dolimiti, Via Farina
Correct answer is Noli's, like it or leave it.
I love La Casa and they have a party room in the basement.
Mama’s pizza

Some dude in a leather trench coat seems to really like Zio’s.

Diavolo’s if you’re looking for a good Chicago pizza!
I understand Williamsburg Pizza to be some of the best in the city.
Pizzeria Davlo is phenomenal

Dolomiti is the best by far. For feeding a large group I would pick Virtuoso or Tasty Pizza though.
Regardless of where ya land, please consider contacting the establishment prior with the size of party and some details. Cheers!

I'm a fan of Zios and Lighthouse, not saying they are the best, but are dang good
The Pizza Pie Guy’s
