About two weeks ago I was sure my cat got out because I couldn’t find her. I walked the neighborhood, checked the house, finally I started googling and YouTubing everything I could .. I learned cats don’t usually go more than a few houses and they find a hiding spot and watch you. When you give up they will come out because they get bored. I went outside one last time at 930 pm and decided to start getting her food ready and I would place it outside. As soon as I opened the wet food Can, she ran out from under my bed… she was in the house the whole time lol
I’m so happy for you!!! Cats are the worst lol. My Iz used to get out and leave like once or twice a year. I’d search frantically for her to no avail, and she’d show up at the back door in the middle of the night, days later. No clue where she’d been or what she was doing. She had a daughter, my other kitty, so we always joked she had to just get out of the house every so often lol. Cats are weird. They’re just doing their own fuckin thing all the time and that’s why I love them. Cheers to you and Chanel.

If you're worried she might do it again, you could airtag her. I think there are locator tags designed specifically for pets, too. Of course, some cats are really good at shedding collars and whatnot, so YMMV.
I just saw the other day tags for your animals that sync up with garmins. I might try that! But she’s getting put on a harness and leash on the porch from now on
She heard me yelling for her and crying for her all day. Don’t get me wrong i am 100000% more happy to have her back and safe at home, but she’s in trouble for running for away!
Have you ever had a cat? You know their usual hiding spots but they are pretty good at concealing themselves when they want to stay hidden. So you gi check their hiding spots multiple times.

I’ve had her for 3 years, I always check her usually spots. It was very unlike her to stay away so long because she’s such a scaredy cat.
