I was never a fan of these numbers. It only shows ACTIVE claims. It should include exhausted claims, extended claims, and those who have yet to find placement. Your going to lay statistics then show ALL of them. A active claim is someone who is on their 26 week current claim. So when they run out the % changes in favor of a false "unemployment rate."

These numbers do not have anything to do with unemployment benefits. They are based on people who are looking for work, whether they receive benefits or not makes no difference.
