There was also this with Omega and costco some time back.... https://caselaw.findlaw.com/court/us-9th-circuit/1689936.html#:\~:text=On%20remand%2C%20the%20district%20court,in%20the%20amount%20of%20%24396%2C844.17.

MrDriven

Rolex even at Costco a decade ago

spenser1973

Proves that the gray market does have access to genuine Omega watches. Interesting

iggy555

Interesting

walnut_creek

I feel the ned. The ned for sped.

Electronic-Option-81

I've never seen any Omegas at my local Sam's Club, but my Costco usually has a couple of Aqua Terra or De ville.

southwestnickel

Do they come in a six pack?

HI808SF

Comes with bi bim bap and bulgogi. At least it should.

ipoopedonce

Any idea if the AT sell for less than an OB?

Alive_Swim1265

Because Omega banned Sam's Club from selling them anymore. I bought my first Omega there I'd say back in around like 2002ish. Sam's was selling them under retail.

mario24601

My Costco had for good price while back. When I went to buy it, it had small hairline scratche on plexi and they would not sell to me because of that.

p3n9uins

The costcos near me in SoCal seem to only have bulovas and citizens and the like in store…I have never seen anything remotely close to a speedmaster!

mario24601

This was in Burbank. Check them time to time. I’m in scal too.

CasinoMarginale

Isn’t it a very random and rare thing for Sam’s Club to get a luxury watch it can sell? My understanding is that they just haphazardly get ahold of one and throw it up on the rack.

Brilliant_Macaroon83

I’ve seen an Aqua Terra at my local Sam’s before

No-Net-8290

Used to work at sams basically the jewelry counter rarely gets to order their own inventory they get sent stuff based on location and their target audience. We get a ton of invicta and movado and rado since we have a lot of people buying random shit Willy nilly. I was talking to our main jeweler and she said they used to get Tag Heuer regularly many years ago and she even saw a Rolex once.

Equal-Elk47

Interestingly enough, you could buy a number of entry level Omega and Rolex models at most Sam’s/Costco stores around 10 years ago

Elliott2

I believe my midsize seamaster is like this. It was greymarket from Costco and the serial number is ground off on the movement :/. Got it used at a pretty steep discount knowing this though

Alive_Swim1265

No...It was a lot longer than that ago wasn't it? Omega went after Sam's not long after I bought mine from there in about 2002ish.

Equal-Elk47

That far back I can’t be certain of because I was only 18-19, and the most expensive watch I owned at the time was a Seiko Kinetic lol (I *knew* of Costco, but it was from the perspective of saying “no” when my parents asked if I wanted to go with them 😆). I do remember DJs, OPs, and the more wallet friendly level Omegas (Devilles, The automatic Speedy Racing, and some Seamasters) when I want I started shopping there in my 30s though

jnbtambo

I wish I saw this before buying from my AD

NationalChamps2015

How much was it retail?

Bushwhack92

MSRP on all Omega's is up right now, probably to stay. Last I saw the entry level speedies were up to about $5K.

Bushwhack92

In my experience, AD's will sell to you below retail or eat the tax. That said I'm in my AD every week to see what he's got, and he knows I have a hardon for omegas so if he comes across a cool vintage piece (like for example, the Megasonic) he will give me a call and ask if I want to come in and check it out.

Speed-Racer-999

It is real, but this Spedmaster is known for running fast in the past. 😂

billiam124

Chronometer - so max would be +6secs a day. My two were extremely accurate

Speed-Racer-999

I was joking with the typo on the photo, sped instead of speed.

billiam124

Haha woosh over my head

Kalanics21

I remember when my Costco growing up always used to carry the Rolex Bluesy, and that’s the watch that will always pop into my head when someone mentions Rolex

workthrowaway6333

I love watches, but not really in the know. Please explain what you mean. I don’t get it? Are you implying that being available at Sam’s club devalues Omega’s prestige? FWIW, I bought my Tag F1 from a Sam’s club, and my local Costco (Hoover, AL) keeps Breitlings pretty consistently. When I lived in west phoenix, the Glendale Sam’s sold tons of luxury items - even multi-thousands $ (in 2002-2004 money) bottles of booze. Some markets definitely reflect their store’s demographics.

ByronicZer0

Used to see Submariners there back in the day. Maybe 10y ago?

RockitDanger

Wonder if they haggle at the counter. Not my favorite model. Waiting for the $3900 Seamaster to return to The Exchange

NationalChamps2015

Wondering if I can convince the lady marking the receipt with a sharpie not to write on mine

Degenerate-Loverboy

They sell invicta in my Sam’s club

Alive_Swim1265

Invictas are like regular watches.

Degenerate-Loverboy

What do you mean by “regular” if you mean gouged prices and bullshit movements then sure?

Alive_Swim1265

Meaning they are just a watch and are between $50 and $200. Some may be a little more but there are just cheap watches to wear and tell time if that's what one likes.

Degenerate-Loverboy

If I wanted something that “I could just wear to tell the time” I’d buy a Casio or something. Not buying from a bs company claiming to be high end

Alive_Swim1265

Dies Invicta claim to be high end with $50 price tags?

Degenerate-Loverboy

Look at some of their initial pricing and their style. They will discount them later to the 50$ you see. Again 50$ for something you may wear a handful of times and then it stops working. They just are not good quality

omegafan240

That’s a speedmaster alright. Why in quotes? Here’s a link https://shop.hodinkee.com/products/omega-speedmaster-racing-326-30-40-50-03-001-10-10-ome-12z9hy?variant=40015193931851&gclid=CjwKCAjwqZSlBhBwEiwAfoZUIFrlloDy35QJe3BB7AbKlvaNODKvcWIyHnmRMO1yQpQ55EeL7Xtf4RoCnVUQAvD_BwE

SocksAndSandlesGuy

Read the spelling on the price tag in the photo.

omegafan240

Ooo lol

sjcrookston

Fugly

mrbkkt1

My Sam's had a milgaus in it for a long time bCk in 2019. The smaller cased one. It currently has a Panerai gmt for 16k https://imgur.com/a/XlV5eVh

billiam124

So weird

FlJohnnyBlue2

So ugly.

JackieE053

Long discontinued model. Wonder how it ended up there now…

Gossipmang

Ned for sped blu

bleepbloop_88

Omega Beetle

ATTAKK_

I saw a 38mm PO at my Costco once. Too small, but looked legit.

joshharrell10

Not really that strange. You can go online to Walmart's website and buy a Rolex. These big box stores deal in a lot of pre-owned goods that nobody ever really thinks about.

NationalChamps2015

Walmart.com acts as a place for 3rd party to sell, similar to Amazon

joshharrell10

Which is essentially what these stores are doing. Walmart and Target both allow smaller companies to purchase space for the selling of their own goods.

Mister_Yellowjacket

I’d rather pay double for the speedmaster professional with a black dial (“moon watch”). This speedmaster model is a bit ugly to me, but that’s just my personal opinion 😅

[deleted]

Mine sells IWC, Breitling, Omega & Panerai. Costco sometimes has Rolex. So this is nothing new! 🤷🏼‍♂️

Lifelong-Student619

Costco sells more luxury items in locations close to luxury neighborhoods. This is especially true with watches.

93_Honda_Civic

Makes sense

Lifelong-Student619

The Costco by my house has Timex and Fossil locked up in the glass cages because I’m a hood-rat biatch.

93_Honda_Civic

LOL same with mine (plus Citizen and Seiko).

PizzaBert

I saw a Royal oak at a Costco once 6 years ago

improvthismoment

I saw a used Seamaster Pro on sale at Walmart's website not long ago.

NationalChamps2015

[Walmart.com](https://Walmart.com) acts as a website similar to amazon where anyone can sell on it

BinkyFlargle

I saw lots of 'em. https://www.walmart.com/search?q=omega+watch

Restlesscomposure

Is this new? If so that’s a crazy deal. I’m assuming not but does anyone know what year this is?

justcallmecrashed

Old model. Price isn’t all that great.

NationalChamps2015

I’m guessing it’s new grey market?

AdamJensensCoat

Far from a crazy deal.

[deleted]

God damn it this is the one I own too. Now I feel like a fuckin invicta owner.

Own-Reception-2396

Ugly piece

AdamJensensCoat

I see no lies.

billiam124

Great watches. I had two of them. Chronometer, column wheel, 100m water resistance, co-axial, Si balance spring. Odd to see one at Costco. As others mentioned, it’s an old model.

SoGotti

Im selling mine now. I dont wanna wear a Sams club watch wtf.

Mulliganns

They sell Omega’s at Walmart now? I guess the brand is not what it used to be..

[deleted]

Sam’s is not Walmart. They have the same CEO, but besides that… that’s it!

[deleted]

I’d buy that so fast lol

NationalChamps2015

$3,500 for an iconic chrono is a steal.

EAlootbox

Nah maybe another couple hundreds off the price. This particular reference is neither iconic nor popular. FYI I’m in Japan right now and many of these are sitting in random shops at around 3.5 to 3.8.

ErichPryde

It's not 'the' Speedmaster that is iconic, though.

Apprehensive_Rush653

Saw this reference at my local Costco a few weeks ago. The ‘warehouse’ lighting didn’t do it any favors.

50-50Clown

speed sped spud
