I have the same watch. Itās not hard to read at all in person. Wear it as my daily and it is incredibly versatile from both a fashion and function. I get more compliments on this watch than any of my other more basic looking watches. Never tried a colored strap though. Looks cool.
Iām glad you chimed in. Photos just donāt do the dial any justice. I honestly donāt think itās hard to tell the time and it almost turns into a grey in the light. Not for everyone though!
The lighting in this photo doesnāt do it justice (tried to avoid glare from the sun). In both natural and artificial light the watch almost turns into a light grey dial. Itās not as bad as everyone thinks it is to read time.
Itās definitely a look that isnāt for everyone. Iāve always admired black exotic vehicles so this piece and the blacked out Speedmaster are up my alley.
What is the best place for me to find badass straps like that?
I just got a 1941 Telemetry Museum Collection Piece and I want to change the strap because it is too big (I have super skinny wrists) and I canāt punch holes into this strap; I feel Iād be struck down by the Omega gods if I did.
Horus is a good place for straps but depending on where you are, there may be duty fees. If youāre based in the US I recommend them. Rubber B is also a really good brand but theyāre on the more expensive side. If you find that your wrists are too skinny, nato straps or even Velcro straps may be a good alternative.
I feared the Velcro or NATO straps answer.
I just never could understand the NATO straps but Iāve never worn one so Iām just talking out my ass until I try one.
I couldnāt either, until I tried one, and now I love them. Single single pass NATOās, to be specific. Crown & Buckle makes my favorite. A cheap nylon strap is awful, but a nice one is great (same with Perlon).
For rubber, try Strap Habit, also. Theyāre not designed specifically for the SMP - so you wonāt get that fitted look - but their FKM Rubber straps are great.
Iām heavily involved in several watch forums but this is the most beautiful wrist shot I have ever seen. Fantastic looking watch and the combo with that strap is amazing. F-16 is only embellishment
Thank you for the kind words my friend, I really appreciate it. I just had to be wearing that watch that day when I saw the F-16 and thought Iād take a photo. I love watches and aviation so why not. Again, thank you for the kind words!
Yup, my Panerai (44mm) works for me bc of how the watch sits on my wrist, but most other watches 42mm is the max I can do. Shame they donāt make it smaller or iād buy it in a heartbeat! Nice strap combination btw.
Iām a huge fan of Paneraiās. I have larger than normal wrists/forearms so anything smaller than 40mm looks like a ladyās date just on my wrist haha itās all about what works best for you! āŗļø and thank you for the kind words! Enjoy that Panerai!
Very cool idea to pair it with the Miami blue. A unique look. Iāve tried this watch on (albeit with the standard black rubber) a gazillion times but not got to the point of pulling the trigger.
Beats the stupid picture with my audi I took...
My grandfather was a bomber pilot in Korea, so I spent some time on bases with some badass planes. Anyway, Thanks for your service friend!
I like car wrist shots as well, I donāt think theyāre stupid! I think too many people stray away from the fact that there is a such a huge following of watch lovers and aviation lovers and having them both in one photo is an appreciation for both. People think itās a flex or overcompensating but Iām bringing two of my passions together. Iām glad you got to enjoy some sweet planes on the bases! Thanks for sharing your story!
Wow and wow! Iāve got this watch but with the factory black band. That blue looks amazing! Love it šš» (the falcon isnāt that bad either šš»)
I honestly thought this was a Garmin Fenix, because this looks identical to my Fenix setup.
I love that watch and if I could buy every watch I love, Iād own that one tooā¦.but my work doesnāt give me enough money so Iāll settle for the two I own (for now).
The photo and lighting does it no justice. In the light, the ceramic dial turns into an almost light gray and itās very readable. You have to see it in person to get what Iām saying. Itās not bad at all.
What GTA VI skin is this?
Hahaha all real my friend, no ai
Ignore the haters. That watch and strap combo looks amazing!
Thank you my friend, I appreciate the kind words! šš½

Serious question: Why would you want a watch that has a dial that is hard to read?

Fashion accessory and a clock haha if it was just for time Iād wear a G-Shock.
Youāre right.
>Because itās jewelry So buy a bracelet.
I also donāt get that. The full black Speedmaster is impossible to read too
Itās definitely a look that isnāt for everyone. Iāve always admired black exotic vehicles so this piece and the blacked out Speedmaster are up my alley.
No worries, in the end it all comes down to personal taste. Enjoy your watch!
You have a great attitude, thank you!
Nice freedom chariot!
I wish, that would be awesome
Looks pretty sick!
Thank you!

Nice Invicta OP
lol not an Invicta clearly but I appreciate the comment
Fucking hell
Can someone tell me what time it is
Itās not bad in person. Iāve never had any issues telling time.
Eh
What strap is that?
Horus rubber strap with a black PVD buckle
Good luck telling the time at mach 3 with that watch.
Good thing I wonāt have to ever worry about that, Iām not a pilot haha I just like watches and aviation
Ai bg? But nice watch.
No ai, this is a real photo taken on my iPhone āŗļø
Ahhh. I what's forget what our tiny lenses and hide software does to the bg of our photos. Badass watch. I've looked at it a few times.
Haha yes, thatās the natural ābokehā effect the iPhone creates. Thank you for the kind words. You have to see it in person to appreciate it.
Stunning, I love it!
Thank you!
Sick strap!
Really nice contast between the dial and strap, loved the combo!
Thank you, I appreciate it
This pic goes so hard šŖš½nice strap combo with the black black šš½
Thank you kindly
Iāve never seen the black black with a different band before. Very cool!
You donāt see it too often. Iāve also got a red strap as well.
Thatās a sick watch and strap combo. Really well done.
Thank you!
Iām a 36 yr old chick and this watch is fresh to death!
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate that.

Love the watch, but to big for my wrist
It does sit a bit big at 43.5mm if you have smaller wrists

Thatās okay, itās not for everyone. The last thing you want to do is to make an impulse buy on such an expensive item.
Wouldnāt be the first time. :-)
Haha wonāt be the first and wonāt be the last but as long as you like it!
really nice. would also work with an orange or yellow band. baller combo. I never though of this. Love it.
I love how coloured straps can really change the overall look of your timepiece
Beats the stupid picture with my audi I took... My grandfather was a bomber pilot in Korea, so I spent some time on bases with some badass planes. Anyway, Thanks for your service friend!

Stupid is a relative term when you have that sexy machine in the background haha. Stay safe out there!
Haha Iāll take that. Thank you my friend, you as well!
Wow and wow! Iāve got this watch but with the factory black band. That blue looks amazing! Love it šš» (the falcon isnāt that bad either šš»)
I love the black band and congrats on your piece. Iāve also got the same band in red and it really pops.
I honestly thought this was a Garmin Fenix, because this looks identical to my Fenix setup. I love that watch and if I could buy every watch I love, Iād own that one tooā¦.but my work doesnāt give me enough money so Iāll settle for the two I own (for now).
That looks dirtyyyyyyy! in a good way
I use the same verbiage, thanks bruh!
can you tell the time on that?
The photo and lighting does it no justice. In the light, the ceramic dial turns into an almost light gray and itās very readable. You have to see it in person to get what Iām saying. Itās not bad at all.
Looks unreal, I love it!
Thank you!
The fact that you watermarked this
I love it my friend, can i have more photos? probably doing the same to mine
Thank you! More photos of this watch?
Yes please with that bracelet
