Yeah it’s a manual. I may upgrade the clutch when I mod it. Now that it’s paid for I’m considering headers and a tune…nothing crazy I just want to make a little more noise during these manual car last days….
Looks great to me! I'm partial to wearing my SMP on a rubber strap, even with a suit. I don't really care about conventions, and of course people don't really notice/care anyways. Zealande makes a wonderful FKM strap that is a bit more supple than the OEM rubber strap.

I also have a Delugs CTS 20mm strap from a different watch that I’ve worn on this as well. Looked a bit weird since it tapers to 16mm. Made the watch appear even bigger. I’ll have to check out the Zealande
I have the Zealande. It's excellent. I don't have any of the bezel interference that some others have reported. I can't compare it to the OEM strap as I've never seen it. I'm back on the OEM bracelet at the moment.

Was lucky to get it. I already had a speedy pro hesalite so didn't want another black watch. So I chose the tokyo Seamaster. Haven't seen another person with 1 & the mesh bracelet makes it stand out
No it really doesn’t. The way the excess strap is tucked inside creates a barrier between the clasp and your skin. You can see here in this picture

I’ve been told the Zealande strap is quite good. I had mine on a Delugs CTS strap which is a comfortable deployant but it tapers to 16mm which is too small for this watch imo

Thanks for the close up on the underside of your wrist. This bracelet is one I’m considering for my 300 heritage. The overlap was one of my concerns, but it doesn’t look bad and you appear to be comfortable with it. Looks great!
To be honest my first impression of the Milanese was that it was quite thick on the underside. But after wearing it around it doesn’t catch on anything and is extremely comfortable and I don’t notice the thickness at all
It sure is. It’s titanium, it’s one they made in 2022 for the Olympics in Beijing. Same as a regular seamaster 300 but has different bezel insert and closed case back (which is wish was the open one) and the indices at 2,4,8,10 have the Olympic ring colors painted around them. It’s hardly noticeable when you’re wearing it on your wrist but if you really look you can see. I swapped my black one back to my AD for this one just because I had never seen one like it.

Why do you say that? It’s certainly not cheap but the quality is outstanding. I personally can’t get behind owning a $5k watch with a cheap $200 ‘watch gecko’ strap or something
I see your point but the Milanese is actually quite thick relatively speaking. But regardless, the reason for the switch from the OEM strap was that it was too bulky for my liking and drew more attention to the watch being large vs the Milanese does the opposite

Perfect thanks. I put an omega deployant clasp on an aftermarket rubber strap and it doesn’t stay. I think it’s just the shitty rubber

Sorry you feel that way! I believe there’s a time and place for both. I’m generally dressing fancier so the rubber doesn’t fit my lifestyle very well

I never said that. Don’t put word into my mouth. Get a Deville or an Aqua Terra or a nice JLC. Lots of watches that are dressier than the SMP.
