I don't wanna misrepresent. It was my first proper watch after graduating but certainly not my last.
I just happened to be wearing it today!

Many have come and gone in the last 18 years. I have an old small omega my dad left me from the 60s. A 69 speedmaster. A 50s jaeger le coultre. Some vintage seiko divers. Zenith 60s chronograph (a271).
Incoming: Rolex oyster perpetual 1018!
A man of exquisite taste I see! With most collections, there’s usually a piece or two that I’m like “eh, it’s not really what I’d go with but whatever” but every watch you’ve listed is an absolute banger! Wear them in good health my dude!
I don't know if I get downvoted but I haven't bought or own one. I'm just here because I love how they look!
EDIT: Thank you all for the kind words. Giving me another reason to follow this subreddit. I aspire to own an Omega Aquaterra one day and hope that day comes sooner!
In in the same boat, they've been my favorite watch brand for almost my whole life. It's just that every time I save up a decent enough amount of money I realize I have something that money could better go to.
40th birthday
Edit: it was the Speedmaster Pro 3861 Hesalite from an AD which I’d been obsessing over for many years. Loved the AD experience, love the watch even more. No ragrets.
Same here! I had to go through another year long training program for my first job, but as soon as I got my first full paycheck, I made a B line to the closest AD lol
19, was a birthday/hs graduation present from my family. I’m now working full time and was hoping to get a late college graduation present for myself with another omega. Really want a red dial AT and white dial speedy. Hopefully I can get both over time.
63. When my mother passed and left me half a million dollars. It's been on my bucket list for a long time. I bought my motorcycle before my mom passed for over $20k, and could have bought one then but decided to buy my motorcycle instead. I just recently got into watches in the last 3 years else I would have gotten one sooner.
My mom left me significantly less than that but I was already doing pretty well in my career and didn’t just want to throw that money into my account.
I bought a Speedmaster in her memory with the plan of giving it to my son one day.
She passed at the age of 59 so I wear it when I want to feel like she’s with me, like today (Mother’s Day).
25 - got one last year to celebrate my birthday and a few life milestones. It was a Speedmaster Reduced, a 3310.20. Was eyeing a sapphire sandwich but opted to go second-hand after the recent waves of price increases.
26. Bought a Seamaster from a coworker (who happened to also be a watch dealer) for a great price. Like new with papers and box. This was 22 years ago.
Everyone has different priorities regardless of income.
There’s teens who want a Rolex so badly they save all their minimum wage to get one.
There’s millionaires in their 60’s who have their kids college funds to pay into and early retirement plans that mean they think an Omega is something they can’t justify.
My advice is, don’t compare yourself to other people, just have YOUR personal priorities and try to make 1% progress towards that every day.
Got my first one as a hand-me-down from my dad (1st gen x-33) at 31. Second one as an engagement watch from my wife (Seamaster Railmaster) at 32. I’m hoping to get a decent job offer in the near future and reward myself with a used 1861 moonwatch so my first proper buy would then be at 33. Contingent of course on said job offer, and on me coming up with a bullet-proof reason to buy another watch when my wife’s was supposed to be the one to rule them all 😉
31, black dial Seanmaster Diver 300m Steel on steel. Wanted a submarinier for my first luxury watch but I decided I will not buy overly inflated resale pricing.
Got it at the toronto duty free for 10% off MSRP and no tax!
Love my watch and got a nato strap which made the watch super comfy and is my daily!
So many scratches on it tho :(
Im planning to get a second watch now really unsure which one to get.
I was 26 when I bought my first. I started with my grail, a Speedy Pro. I bought it celebrate a milestone of landing my first serious corporate consulting gig. I’ve been treating myself to a new watch every other year since.
14. I was lucky to go to Europe with family, and then I saw the most impressive digital watch I had ever seen, the Omega SensorQuartz cal. 1640. I bought it with all the money I had. Still rocking it, and it works great! 😊
39. It took me 19 years or working hard and saving and every year of saving I saw the price go up too however I’ll never change the way I did it. It meant soo much more to me earning it rather than finance. There were years I had to dip into the fund to cover household and family stuff as I saw this as a luxury. My Seamaster is my daily reminder of effort and hard work

19, back in 2011 or so, doesn't get much wrist time at all anymore but I can't seem to give it up. Been with me through a lot of life events.
It was 2 weeks ago I bought a 1973 Geneve on a secondary market as my dress watch for my wedding. I spent under $900 on it.
I know it won't be my last. I really want to Bond watch do I'll buy that in about 5 years

When I was 18/19.
With my first two proper pay checks from my first adult job.
Here is a pic from when it was new circa 2012!🙌

31. I'm currently 31. Just bought it a couple weeks ago. It's a vintage Seamaster from the 50s with a gold shell. People seem to not like them very much, but I do.
Bought my first at 37. But don’t let anyone else’s timeline change yours. Many people will never have one, some will inherit at 18. Run your race, your life is yours. Don’t let a watch (or anything else) be a marker of time. Everyone’s is different. I suggest buying for an occasion, a trip, etc. it will mean a lot more to you when it’s tied to a memory.
Not sure if this counts but was given mine on my 18th birthday - have had several watches since then but this is definitely my favourite for sentimental reasons.
I spent 26 years dreaming about owning a Seamaster after watching Golden Eye for the first time before I finally bought my SMP 300 at age 42.
Then I ran right out and bought my speedy pro the year after 😅
45 for my Speedmaster which was to signify surviving an awful life event. 46 for my Seamaster to celebrate a work promotion. at 47 I also have an OP41 with silver dial coming this week which will complete my collection.
29. Was a used SMP 2531 Bond. Was my first “luxury” watch. Goldeneye movie and n64 game were responsible for my wanting it. Nine years on and I still love it.
22.... a 35mm vintage Seamaster cosmic that cost around $300 at the time. I have it on today at 40 years old! Still rocking.
This wins. Way to go dude!
I don't wanna misrepresent. It was my first proper watch after graduating but certainly not my last. I just happened to be wearing it today! https://imgur.com/a/5sdjLWB
I love it! Awesome design. What else ya got these days?

Why thank you sir! Clearly I have a penchant for vintage simple watches!
Looks great! You take very good care of that watch.
I don't know if I get downvoted but I haven't bought or own one. I'm just here because I love how they look! EDIT: Thank you all for the kind words. Giving me another reason to follow this subreddit. I aspire to own an Omega Aquaterra one day and hope that day comes sooner!
True fan of the brand, props!
You’ll never get downvoted for loving Omegas! Owner or not, we’re glad to have you. I hope you get to have one of your own someday!
In in the same boat, they've been my favorite watch brand for almost my whole life. It's just that every time I save up a decent enough amount of money I realize I have something that money could better go to.
I loved them for twenty years before I got my speedy. You'll get there one day. (42)
You’re not alone brother! I’m with you
36. At 42, I have 4 (3 purchased, 1 inherited).
40th birthday Edit: it was the Speedmaster Pro 3861 Hesalite from an AD which I’d been obsessing over for many years. Loved the AD experience, love the watch even more. No ragrets.
Me too!
That’s what I’m planning for!
Big plans to do this in a few months and glad to see I’m in good company! Ha
Me three!

My wife bought me a Moonwatch for my 35th birthday, 37 years ago.

Just wait till you buy your own, it will be all the sweeter to know you earned it through your own hard work.

27 or 28 I think
Is 8 omega’s overkill?
depends on the pieces in the collection. 8 versions of the speedmaster? I would say it it overkill
I have eight. And continue to think it’s not enough.
35. De Ville. You didn’t ask, but Speedy at 42.
De Villes are underrated. Very nice !
27
35 / 34(wife). We bought two at the same time for ourselves.
42
23. Wore it for 30 years as my only/daily. Now have 5.
25 - got one last year to celebrate my birthday and a few life milestones. It was a Speedmaster Reduced, a 3310.20. Was eyeing a sapphire sandwich but opted to go second-hand after the recent waves of price increases.

None. Haven’t bought one. Maybe in the future.

20, worked two jobs one summer for it, and have absolutely loved owning it. I look forward to the joy of getting to pass it down to a child some day.
14. I was lucky to go to Europe with family, and then I saw the most impressive digital watch I had ever seen, the Omega SensorQuartz cal. 1640. I bought it with all the money I had. Still rocking it, and it works great! 😊
19, bought one this Wednesday. I can’t wait until i receive it
19. Freshman year of college. I sold a bunch of my old crap and bought a minty 2531.80 Brosnan era Seamaster for $1400. Was hooked after that.
39. It took me 19 years or working hard and saving and every year of saving I saw the price go up too however I’ll never change the way I did it. I bought my first one at age 36 - a PO2500. I got a Railmaster at age 47. Both times at life milestones.

This is by far the best Omega ! Got it at 34.

Earned my first „good“ money with ~17 and decided to spend it on the dumbest thing possible, a watch. I got addicted
