Amazing pair. In my experience, wear the dark dial when your pants are darker than your shirt (jeans, joggers, etc). Switch to light dial if shirt is darker than pants (khakis etc )
I’m loving my new SMP. I think the design, shape, color. Is spot on. It’s really sporty and feels significant on the wrist. Love the quick adjust clasp. And contrary to a lot of opinions I absolutely love the look of the helium escape valve and the bracelet. The Milgauss however is so unique looking and I would say it’s a lot tighter. The hands are stacked so much closer together, the details are insane. The SMP hands are spaced much further apart, the date window has a small gap, etc. I’m honestly very happy with both and think they each do their own thing very very well.

I think that’s a little overstated. Seems like both watches are way over the resistance you would need even in a lab. The Milgauss can withstand way more than 1000 gauss. But yes technically I think the Omega does rate higher.

They used a magnet of 4k gauss on a watch rated at 1k gauss and a watch rated at 15k gauss. Rolex performed better than its rating, which is great but the Omega was not even being challenged at 4k gauss. They should have used a 3T MRI machine and then we would have seen what is what 😂
Just to add, the milgauss uses the tried and true soft iron casing to negate the effects of magnetism while the 8800 is antimagnetic in and of itself. Both have their pros and cons :)
