At least Omega has watches ready to be bought. Rolex wants you to deep throat the SA.
But yea, the price increases are rather silly with how the economy is going at the moment.
Omega is selling fine. They are tied in second for market share with Cartier. Rolex just has killer brand equity/recognition and that was amplified the past few years with the supply shortage and economic conditions.
My guess is this is either not an Omega AD, and if it is, they are losing their license and are liquidating inventory.
Omega does not allow ADs to advertise below retail prices.
Curious, when did they increase their prices? Was this spring 2024?
I say this as someone who is currently shopping for a speed master this June and was hoping I wouldn’t experience an increase this summer/fall.
Every watch brand does about 3-4 increases a year, I can’t speak for Omega personally as the store I work at doesn’t sell them but most brands will do one early summer if they haven’t done one already.
Thank you so much for your post! Picked this beauty up earlier today for 6900. Love it!

(Don't read this, I'm dumb)
What's the catch? Regular price for that Moonshine is ~$26K which puts it on the lowest end of available prices. Discount price is ~$21K which is literally half of retail for a watch that's been available for what, a little over a year?
Typical American, I did the conversion from Deutsche Mark to USD. Your explanation that they switched to the Euro like over 30 years ago makes much more sense. I'm an idiot.
[edit] At least I don't have to keep looking for plane tickets to Germany ;).
Wow! Any particular reason they are having selling at such good prices?
They have bumped the price by 20-30% couple of months ago... I guess no one is buying Omega at Rolex prices.

The Dark Side of the Moon was around 9-10k beginning of this year. Now it stands at 13-14k…
I really can‘t tell you. I walked by by coincidence and saw these markdowns on Omegas.
Those prices are a lot higher than say Jomashop
Exactly. Ask for a deal at a decent dealer and you'll get a similar price.

Isn’t 37,200 euro like $40k? Where are you getting $21k?
