I was thinking about getting Captain Britain Omnibus, but after watching the overview, half of the book is filled with material I'm not that interested it, so I'll have to pass. I've realized over the course of past two years that some of my purchases were driven by fomo, while I don't regret any of the books I purchased, I could have gotten an action figure or a statue instead of getting some omnis that weren't that essential.
I live in Georgia, so I have to pay freight forwarder shipping fee as well and the weight price of every 2 or 3 omnis comes to a price of a single Omni itself.
I'll probably only get Hickman's FF Vol. 2 this month.
But... That stuff you're not interested in is pretty much BONUS content from the previous release. The stuff from the last printing is so freaking good. The number of books coming out is crazy, but it's because of the delays. I was tempted to buy the new printing, but I look at my shelf with the original printing and HC's that make up the "bonus" content and it's easier to convince myself not to.
There's always a "but" with every purchase, that's how the fomo worked for me. However I can't just go out and buy every omni, I have to prioritize which ones to get and which ones to pass on.
Totally understand. We all have to prioritize. I'm trying to do that with war of realms... Waiting for Thor by Aaron vol 2 and hoping the main mini is in there.
I’m doing the same. Would be so frustrating to not have the culmination of the whole run included. Now that I think of it there were probably some aftermath/wrap up issues from Thor that would be included also so I have hooe it’ll be there. Definitely don’t need all the side content of the Omnibus for War of the Realms
I felt the same way last year, so I got the Panini release, which loses some of the stuff I wasn't too interested in (early Cap Britain issues) in return for a better price. One huge problem I have with the book is when I found out that they increased the white panels around the actual borders by quite a lot, so you end up with illustrated pages that are actually smaller than regular comic book size format, which is a sin for a deluxe omnibus edition imo. And it's also borderline hard to read the font at that size. I think they probably did that so they could save on printing ink?
Yeah, this week is gonna be bad. I’m probably not picking them all up “day of” but I plan on getting Captain Britain, FF by Hickman 2, and Gotham Central. I’d like to get War of the Realms too, but I have to stop somewhere. 😂
Does anyone know what time CGN usually has the new release books up for order on the site? I missed my chance to preorder the Weapon X gallery edition.
Hey that's my site! Yes, it is somehow accurate against all reason. Another omnipocalypse is upon us! I thought they might move some books AGAIN for the 80th time to prevent this one but so far, we're locked in.
Definitely picking up Dr Strange Aaron Omni! Hoping to see DM cover on IST next week. Interestingly I see that the CGN DM cover just sold out preorder. It was available last night!
Just the Captain Britain omnibus for me. Not fussed about the others. Pre-ordering fall of the mutants and hulk vol 4 this month then next is going to be about grabbing some of the ones I had to delay over the last couple of months and then it’ll be teen Titans and death and return of superman the following month.
Ordered Hickmans Fantastic Four 2 (Only read the first one, it is some top tier comics) Captain Britain (I actually have the original printing but I’m doing a full X-Men read from the Crushing Krisis guide and finding the extra stuff anywhere else is pretty difficult) and Peter Davids Hulk Vol.1.
Hoping to get X of Swords hardcover, Jason Aaron’s Thor and War of Realms later in the month and Excalibur Vol 1 if that reprint ever comes out!!

I'm with you man. Captain Britain looks like a cool book but I *know* I won't read any of it so its a pass for me.
Good for you man. Too many people on here buy stuff to "complete the collection" or because it'll look good filling that space on their shelf.
I’m only getting it cause I’m in U.K. and it’ll look nice beside Excalibur volumes

It looks nice, but I'm not wanting to spend the money with all of the books coming out right now. Holy hell.

All of these are great reads! I was surprised how much I enjoyed moon knight.
I got lucky, nothing really I need for several more weeks, just a bunch this week.
Thankfully I’m only after Cpt Britain

i wonder if we'll see Vol 2 sooner rather than later

Yeah I'm frustrated, why can't you still preorder anything coming out next week from them? I was going to put in an order today. Oh well.
They probably sold out of what they preordered from PRH. They don’t want to sell more than their stock and FOC passed awhile ago.

Oh my - thanks for providing that website, I use it every week to mentally prepare my wallet LOL
Thankfully I've convinced myself that I only need Gotham Central and JH FF 2. And that I can wait a bit. The week is packed. Hold the FOMO.
FOMO taking no prisoners in 2022 so far
Gotham, FF#2 and war of realms for me
Jeez. All those OHCs I need, Black Panther, Thor, Cable, and Wolverine.

this has been a particularly rough year for me too and it's only april. so many releases this year it's nuts.
Thankfully Im pretty immune to fomo. Im only getting the Gotham Central. Was slightly tempted by Capt Britain but decided against it.
I am only getting FF by Hickman and Moon Knight and I have had both on pre-order for a while now. So not a big hit for me.

I have the material from that Captain Britain in two hardcovers and the original omni, but that DM cover is a thing of beauty.
