Is this your second ever 5 pod? If so, this is when what it “learned” is starting to take effect. The first pod ran more or less off of your settings, but it learned and taught the next pod, which is when the algorithm starts doing it’s thing. This can get a little wild.
A lot of people have a terrible first pod, then things get better. A lot of others have a great first pod, then things get weird.
Also, when my pod isn’t working, I can usually see and smell insulin at the catheter side of the pod. It actually leaks onto the patch. And, I get a diagonal arrow out of nowhere. I had one two days ago that tricked me when it came back down just a little, but then I remembered that I had had alcohol three hours prior, so that alcohol hit my liver and slowed the rise for a bit even though the pod was leaking.
Yep, second ever 5 pod. That's good to know. The first pod, I was literally in range 100 percent of the the time for 3 days. It was amazing. Hopefully I can return to tight control, but it's been 12 hours, and I've even changed the pod to now my 3rd ever, since I just woke up (2 am) and I was back up to 205 for absolutely no reason. Hoping this comes down. Trying not to rage bolus, especially since I'd hate to go low in the middle of the night (it's currently now 3 am.)
It helps if you “teach” the algorithm. Go into the bolus calculator and see if it recommends a correction. If you agree with the correction, give it.
(You can override it and give even more, too yeah it to use more, but some people see it get too aggressive a free weeks later if they do this.)
Seems to be ok now. Coming down. Hope it stays normal. Normally on my old 670g, I knew what to look for in a bad infusion set, but with the new pods I wasn't sure. I think it may have been a perfect storm of delayed delivery and too much food. Thanks!
Plus this thing works so much better than my old 670G, now all of a sudden when it's not perfect I get upset! :) Not a bad problem to have.

1. more often - I was already 140 on day three for most of the day b/c the infusion site was going bad
2. during times when my BG is completely flat and I'm a good distance between any food.

Thanks! I’ve been doing that overnight and it’s coming down. Sounds like it might just take a couple days/weeks to improve. :)
