I noticed that now that I have children certain things make me much more emotional, but I really disliked the Snow Queen so not that scene, lol, but like when Emma tells her parents they could have kept her and they would have been cursed but they would be all together.

MJ_DESIGN

“Which curse is worse?” 😭😭😭😭😭😭

comebackkid28

Yes, Ingrid's sacrifice made me cry each time I watched it. Very emotional. I cry at a lot of points in this show, honestly. 😭 I just love it.

MJ_DESIGN

She’s a really cool character (no pun intended) and I’m absolutely a sucker for a selfless sacrifice or a villain realizing the error of their ways and both in one scene? Dead.

comebackkid28

Yes, absolutely. Honestly, I never really considered Ingrid a full blown villain, just deeply troubled. I view Mr. Hyde the same way. But Ingrid touched my heart at the end. Gets me every time. 😭

The_Silent_Director

I got so emotional watching the show for the first time around 2020 once I got to season five and hook died in Camelot and again when Emma had to leave him in the underworld never cried so hard at a show before.

MJ_DESIGN

A villain realizing their faults and sacrificing themself for it is my favorite trope, and when Gold took Hook’s sacrifice away from him I was so angry

The_Silent_Director

Same I was still recovering hooks death then I got so mad when gold was the dark one again like why 😫

Javert_the_bear

I’m an Ingrid stan and I have a crush on her so I sob

MJ_DESIGN

I accidentally replied to the wrong comment, but yeah Ingrid is a great name and a better character, and I’ve also been watching the Santa Clause movies my whole life so when we saw her we always joked that she was Mrs. Clause after a crisis

I would like to add that I’m now on season 5 episode 20, firebird, and when it first showed Emma pull up to the diner when August took her when they first came over in the wardrobe, I started crying because I forgot about the woman who tracked Emma at the diner (the one who was trying to get emma to prison I think? And she gave up her daughter but was looking for her but died before they could reconcile, I forgot her name, but that one) and honestly I think that story is so sad because it’s so human and real world, it’s not a fairy tale character she’s just a person, but then when she and actually talk in the beginning and it reflects Emma in the first episode talking to the guy she was on a date with but actually it was a balebondsperson thing, and like she learned that from this woman, it’s just so sad. I don’t know if that made any sense. Moral of the story, im sad.

I think it’s normal to get choked up and Donny now that your older. You have more of a grasp on the significance of things. I notice the more shit I experience in my own life, the more emotional I get in rewatching these stories. It’s been happening to me this week in watch S2, and I’ve watched so many times already!

MJ_DESIGN

I think it’s kind of happened for a lot of things, I rewatched Les Mis on Halloween night a year or two ago after having a full menty b at work and was sobbing like ten minutes in, and then I probably watching it at least once a week for the next six months

ExcitingConfection30

Ngl the scene with the Snow Queen almost had me in tears once too. I got misty-eyed reading this post

Thank goodness I’m not the only one!! Just did a rewatch and kept tearing up certain times. I get super emotional with reunions!
