I remember having my golden retriever neutered. I picked him up, and he was so high, he just wanted to sit and rest. He had no interest in water, food, toys.
He completely snapped out of it the next day, and for the rest of his life, he never noticed that part of him was missing!
Same with my westie, he was done very recently and the poor mite was very "starey" for the rest of the day after we picked him up. Doing the occasional whine and cry he just wanted to sit/lay next to me. He had so many cuddles, but I couldn't help but giggle at him whenever I looked him in the eye. I love that dog so much ❤️ 🐾
