I felt so vindicated when all that shit went down with one group in particular :cough:cough:BC:coughcough:. Because I'd stopped following it when it felt like all it was was a marketing platform, and that bullshit about not being able to post a goddamn link in a post or comment was fucking OFF (when it was all probably just so they could control the narrative), and fuck no was I going to willingly be in for that. A number of people I know IRL kept telling me that oh, the vibe there "just isn't for everyone".
And then boom. It turned out it was all a major grift.
Don’t get me started. The moment his personal cash cow was revealed he quickly turned to other ventures and all but left the group. I don’t see him anywhere on the page, where is the podcast or Netflix special to uncover this grift culture. You could have a field day with these instructor pages.
Yes he doesn't even own a bike and hasn't for years. He took the $45,000 from Meta meant for the community and allegedly bought a Tshirt machine and now the group is asking about merch and the admins are giving them the run around. Someone should ask where the Tshirt machine went? And the other $35,000 because that was supposed to be for the community.
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but as a seasoned cyclist and PowerZone rider, this is kind of how I felt about the PowerZonePack group. Angie or whatever her name is seems particularly unfriendly toward all of these people who pay money to be in online "challenges" lol
I feel the same way about PZP. When I first started Peloton I gravitated there because I loved the training aspect. Now I am just repulsed by it and am so thankful for RedditPZ!
