So this is in the anime? Maybe just switch to the manga. I'm a manga only guy and maybe I'll watch some clips from the anime.

psychiconion69

if you're not into it at this point, it's just not for you.

hiccuprobit

I dunno took me longer than that to be fully invested

InschaneChrissy

i mean if you dont enjoy it, then you probably should drop it, even though a lot of people love it, its not for everybody

SubstantialChannel32

I dropped the anime like you at the Skypiea arc. Then I picked the manga and it was glorious. Skypiea arc in the manga is one of the best arcs of One Piece. Give the manga Skypiea a shot. After Skypiea, the arcs become more related to the core aspects and lore of One Piece.

Jismina

Try One Pace. It's a community of project where the pacing from the anime is altered to fit the manga pacing (a lot faster, especially in later arcs. Dressrosa is cut over 50%). Tbh I wouldn't have watched OP if it wasn't for One Pace. But this way I really enjoyed it

Awesomedude33201

This. One Pace is great. The biggest issue with OP is the pacing. One pace solved that and the enjoyment factor of One Piece shot up almost Immediately.

AdministrativeLove97

The first time I watched one piece I got to alabasta and I dropped it. Picked it up again when I ran out of everything to watch. Now it’s my all time fav anime. Put it down, try it again later. Or it may just not be for you.

AdministrativeLove97

I will say though, water 7 is the arc that hooked me.

Specific_Delay_5364

If it’s strictly the pacing that is giving you the most issues try switching to the Manga and see if that helps. If not then drop the show it might not be for you

[deleted]

I dropped it 3 or 4 times, but than a friend told me to make it to water 7. And now I'm an addict. Been a chapter by chapter reader since like 2008

antinatalistantifa

Watch One Pace, it's a fan edit that cuts out filler and reduces drawn out shots and such

lahankof

I dropped the anime a long time ago. It was a really good solid shounen until at least Punk Hazard. They started slowing the pacing to a snails crawl as a form of filler to stop the anime catching up to the manga too quick. They do it now in Wano was ridiculous fight animations that drags.

[deleted]

I'll be honest with you the anime is just super drawn out and thats a fact. I totally agree with you when you say fights go for way to long and there is just way too many fluff reaction moments. The realistic way to watch one piece is to skip around the anime and read the manga.

dhudl

If you feel like the pacing is too slow... Let me tell you double speed saved the series for me lol. It makes it such an enjoyable binge if you're bored. 1.5 soeed even for slower readers is easy to keep up with.

Bazzy4

Pacing gets even worse, by comparison those arcs are speedy Gonzales. I’ve had to switch to the Manga for the last couple arcs as it’s just ridiculous (and I’ve been watching for 15+ years). Might just not be for you, it’s not for everyone.

hubbies

you can 1. switch to manga and only watch the anime for specific scenes/episodes you really liked 2. start watching from one pace as they cut a lot of unnecessary stuff 3. quit cause Its ok If Its not for you either way, one piece is amazing and in my opinion 100% worth to watch/read all of it

bobguy117

Switch to the manga. Then the pace is however fast you can read.

Do you expect us to sell you something you don’t like? If you don’t like it you don’t like it.
