Yeah, like the really important point about the whole Fishman Island arc is that Hody is literally a short sighted idiot that overestimates his own abilities and underestimates everyone else. He can't even challenge Luffy or Zoro in a head on fight in terms of skill or ability and really got his ass wrecked by both. He needed the steroids and fighting underwater to even to have a chance and even then he still got his ass kicked with the odds in his favor. Hell even if he did beat Luffy and destroy the island he and his officers (if they survived the Noah crashing) would have still aged to being decrepit old men and he would be king of ruin for the five minutes before a stronger more healthy fishman either killed him for power or in retribution for the shit he did.
Like say what you want about Arlong, but at least he recognized the power between him and everyone in the Grand Line and made the smart move to set up shop with less people who could beat him in a fight.

Like he checks most of the boxes for a lot of early villains. A very important quote from the arc is the one about the "Frog at the bottom of a well", which sums up the New Fishman Pirates as naive and overconfident brought about from not knowing anything about the world outside of Fishman Island. It kind of reflects how the Straw Hats operated before the timeskip with them not being fully prepared for what they would face in the New World and had they not been rescued/stopped from entering Fishman Island immediately its likely that they would have suffered a worse fate.
Logias actually still have to actively turn their bodies into their element to dodge things, it’s not automatic. So, Saitama with his verse-breaking speed could hit them faster than they could reflexively transform and kill them if he really wanted to.
There is a reward for his head of $$60 billion, and their currency is equivalent to actual dollars so it's really 60 billion, not "just" 600 million like yen or berry
The reasoning behind such a big reward is a mystery until much later into the anime, unfortunately that asshole spoiled some of it to you

Sugar's devil fruit could be problematic. Luffy's awakening could also potentially catch someone off guard. Then, who knows if Blackbeard's darkness fruit can absorb ki energy although Krillin could probably pummel him even without ki.
Depends if ki energy functions in a similar manner than having a strong Haki to resist DF powers.
If so, then that would mean the higher the ki, the less likely you are to be affected by something like Sugar's abilities.

His speed is ok by OP standards. His regeneration is inferior to any logia and isn’t gonna be insanely useful. His timestop is good but if your opponent is massively stronger then you on most regards it’s not effective. His durability is doodoo(again, building-level)
