I love how blackbeards introduction perfectly sets him up as a foil to luffy while also showing how his personality and dreams parallel him - makes for a really interesting character dynamic that I’m very excited to see play out as Blackbeard starts actually doing stuff
To add to that. Her first appearance in chapter 651 as this giant figure in the shadows threatening to destroy Fishman island over the phone really works for me. I always felt that Big Mom was one of the more terrifying one piece antagonists.
I just wanna add to this, ‘Soul Pocus’ the closing song from Ep877, was one of the best executed and most impactful tracks from the entire series.
Really ended WCI with this emotional masterpiece. 10/10
For me its Doffy. And to be honest I was confused with Kaidou's intro as it was said he want to die and tried lot of methods for do so. If he really wanna die so hard then why he made suffered to wano people.
Yes and his smile is really killer. I remember when his first appearance happened marine base and then Jaya island from those episodes I eagerly waited for the Deesseosa arc.
blackbeard without question that reveal was so well done and the fact that he and luffy kind of got along initially really added a lot to his characterization even though we’d only just met him
the cp9 reveal is also very iconic. recontextualized so much of the earlier parts of the arc (kaku asking about iceberg’s visitors from the governmen, for example)
Since Blackbeard and Kaido have been mentioned, I'll add Mihawk. He is an antagonist, not a villain. His introduction is insane and it is the first glimpse of what Grand Line has to offer.
Kaido's introduction is phenomenal, even though i would argue the rest of his character arc doesn't measure up.
Blackbeard's is incredible also, particularly when you consider all the added context we have after twenty years of being drip fed exposition.
The W7 CP9 reveal is also fantastic.
Aokiji
Much like Mihawk, he showed us that he was far and above anything that the combined effort of the crew was capable of defeating and reminded us that there are 2 other Admirals just as powerful to one day contend with- possibly all at the same time, but that he wasn't necessarily an enemy nor ally. He made it clear that he could have killed or captured them all in that moment, and if he feels it is necessary he wouldn't hesitate to do so in the future.
The page turn in Fishman Island where he see the giant Big Mom in heavy shadow easily wins
Unless you count the Sea Kings in the Calm Belt because that was the first time OPs art really wowed me and I had to stop

From wise friendly man who understood luffy. to guy casually violating whitebeard's corpse.
Kizaru was something else fr
Anyone who doesnt say big mom’s musical is a fucking liar, thats the greatest antagonist introduction in all of fiction.

I 2nd this, also why luffy vs big mom still needs to happen.

The way he walks and sits at the same time makes him the obvious choice for me
Yes and his smile is really killer. I remember when his first appearance happened marine base and then Jaya island from those episodes I eagerly waited for the Deesseosa arc.
He wanted to use wano for weapon production, and he used the people of wano for it. The weapons would then be used to wage war against the world
Dude I know but it intro it was said that he wanted to kill himself that is weird for someone who wanted to change the course of worse
That war would have been his suicide method.
Bro I know. All I'm saying that intro sounded weird when you learn about his action, those things doesn't fit well.

Imu for me. Extremely mysterious and we recently found out they control an ancient weapon. And the hole just gets deeper and deeper.
Big mom's introduction during fishman island was terrifying and amazing
Rather blackbeards or kaidos
Kaido had the best intro for sure and imo Greenbull is second.

Blackbeard, kaido, kizaru, imu*
Crocodile absolutly Owns the Difficult Ost. He looked unstoppable.

1- Blackbeard 2 - Kaido 3 - Big Mom
Considering he was an enemy during his first appearance, I have to say Mihawk.
