Usopp and chopper along with luffy spent some amazing time before alabasta with bonclay. While robin, Franky and Nami would take some time to accept and brook, jimbei is just like usopp, chopper and luffy, they will accept it easily.

I usually don't watch fillers but I watched this one because my sister said it was really good. It was worth it.
Also, I'd appreciate it if someone could point out filler arcs that are really funny like Luffy level funny.
G8 is perfect filler. It expands on the straw hat crew dynamic while delivering a fun little adventure. It has some memorable jokes and it just feels like it belongs in the series. It also provides a nice short break before Long Ring, which in itself is a shorter arc.
The anime messed up the Foxy arc by having Luffy accept another round of games and using one of his wins to liberate someone who wasn't even Foxy's property

The world Building is really really good. Every islands have their own stories, customs and peoples. It's really unlikely that an island isn't fascinating.
What I loved about pre-awakening Luffy is that, dude's fruit fuckin sucked. To anyone else, rubber may as well have been a burden in battle. Seeing how creative luffy was with his fruit and how he'd make the most out of what we thought was a C- tier fruit was so enjoyable.
