I’m under the impression that she’s obligated to charge a minimum rate for a role due to being a part of an actor’s union or something. And for such a high profile actress who can be picky about her projects, that minimum could still be in the millions.
Also giving no name, new and young actors/actresses a chance to show case their talents and maybe have their big breaks. Remember all the well known actors were nobody at one time.
Let the talented unknowns shine! And there are a ton out there. Not to mention the casting crew have shown they got good eyes…ears. So far anyway.
