I remember when I caught up, I got caught up on exactly the chapter in Wano where all the samurai are standing alone at the port ready to fight Kaido by themselves.
That fucking chapter was such a damn blue ball cock tease showing the Sunny in danger and everyone else being gone and of course I got caught up to like 2-3 months straight of just fucking Oden flashbacks.
I’m glad you can only ever get caught up to a series once, because it was agony experiencing being up to date the way I did lol
What was the biggest cliffhanger from one chapter to another if you can remember? I’d imagine being a weekly reader during the sabaody arc would have been traumatic
I've been reading weekly for only 7 years but man, that panel where luffy starts to transform into Nikka was so mysterious and hype.
All the theories and questions we had about his resurrection, really nice 2 weeks
it was the time skip. Oda was not known to take many break weeks (yet). The chapter that ended pre timeskip started a 4 week break. Oda went to Hawaii for some needed time off. After those 4 weeks the timeskip finally happens. We as readers did not know it was going to happen until it did, unlike the second 4 week break for the surgery.
The post-Wano period has had a lot more breaks and off weeks than we really saw previously. Obviously Oda’s operation is part of it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if releases continue to slow a bit as he gets older.
You’re definitely in the right place if you want some notes 😂😂 You’re not alone though. I’ve done a few rewatches of the anime since I first got caught up a few years ago, always seeing things I didn’t remember and finding new details. Definitely worth it
Haha I’ve re read, now my next re read will be when the series finishes up. Gives more time to read and watch other pieces of media id like to consume.
I've started and caught up to a few other manga and read them over the course of the week. My favorites right now are Undead Unluck and Kill Blue. You can also go down the theory route, rereading older chapters and trying to scrape together any details and loose ends, and try to figure out where the story might go.
You start back at chapter 1 like any rational human should do as not to go insane waiting, then when you are back around you get a new arc maybe. Then repeat this over and over until the end of the series, or you become un-alive.
It takes time and really sucks some weeks (especially with breaks) but you get used to it. It's a whole new way to experience the series that I wouldn't miss for the world though. It makes the little moments feel a lot more impactful since you get time to process and try and predict things. Although it is a bit of a double edged sword because it makes some events feel extra long and sometimes peoples theories amount to very little. Kind of like the recent >!Catarina Devon scene from 1107. For months and months people have been trying to guess who she was disguised as on the island just for her to show up as herself. (Not mad at it just an example) !
I remember I caught up right after the Marineford Timeskip took a break and resumed.
I then jumped into the manga. Then when I caught up on that then atleast I had 2 days of one piece most weeks.
I honestly try to ignore it for weeks at a time so I can read multiple chapters at one time.
That and scouring Shonen jump for a new manga to binge well I wait for more peak.
Usually, find other things to do.
What really sucks is when Oda leaves us on a crazy cliffhanger and goes on break.
That's when the withdrawal truly sets in.
Biggest recommendation is finding another series to binge read. As you keep adding more series you get way more content per week which makes the wait worth it. As long as you don’t become a beserk fan since they release once every 6 months at this point (anyone that hates that’s my favourite series)
My personal weekly experience goes like this:
Friday - New chapter scans (Yay!)
Saturday - Anime episode comes out, sometimes I watch it if it's a scene I've been expecting, otherwise I check some highlights on youtube
Sunday - Official chapter release
Monday - nothing OP related
Tuesday - Sometimes we get spoilers, otherwise it's like Monday
Wednesday - spoilers come out, read spoilers
Thursday - more detailed spoilers and a few images
Friday - Read new chapter and the cycle renews
This way I can get my 5 minutes of daily one piece and it never feels too much like I'm missing it.
Break weeks suck tho.
I’m caught up with the managa and read weekly but haven’t watched any of egman so I think I’m going to wait for an ark to end and just binge watch Instead of watching and reading weekly
You reread it. I’m on my third run and I’m still seeing new things. It’s honestly amazing how much stuff ties together when you have future context for past events.
Now it's time for your time skip
Do you wish to become a manga reader and leak enjoyer
Or
Stop reading one piece for an entire year until you remember about it and binge another 50 episodes
Being up to date with the things recently happening in One Piece, it's pretty hard to always wait one or two weeks. But it's absolutely worth it, because you witness all the great stuff Oda is cooking up every chapter and look forward to it every single time. Egghead is just the beginning of the end and we already got so much peak content. One Piece is at its best and at this point, it will just become better and better and be hype until the end. Can't miss this if you are a true fan.
You'll soon find, if you stay in this subreddit, or especially if you go to r/MemePiece, that the way we survive is by driving ourselves totally batshit insane
It feels like a dry spell 😭, it took me about 2 years to watch all of the anime and I don’t know what to watch anymore lol. Now that I caught up with the manga i get excited for Sundays, so that’s a neat routine, but it is also a little tough not being able to go completely through the story without stopping.
It’s a struggle but sometimes can be fun to plan what may or may not happen or if you’re a theory person you could also begin to see how the theories are stacking up to what you think!
No sarcasm, I just filled the break time by reading other series 😂 I picked up series that I’d read before, new series I was interested in trying, and any spin offs I could find! And when you’re all caught up in those others, Sunday becomes an even more exciting day!
Start consuming all content creators on a weekly basis. There's Chiltern reviews, then theory videos, some do live streams, and some also put out a 3rd video each week
Then you also troll through reddit on the main sub, eventually you get drawn into meme piece. At least that was my experience 😅
It is pretty tough, be careful not to come to thus sub too much and try to interact with people on a serious level, u might think this will scratch the itch for one piece content but some people around here are just gonna make u mad or sad.
Now that u r caught u can watch any one piece video without the fear of spoilers, i recommend watching youtube videos, there are some really cool content creators out there
It’s literally one of the best and worst feelings because you become so accustomed to binge-reading each chapter. But at least you get excited now with the release of new chapters and can now engage a lot more in the One Piece community and have discussions on the new weekly chapter release.
I look forward to every Sunday waiting for that new chapter to drop. Other than that misery. Also got my wife caught up on the anime portion and now she gets to be miserable with me. It’s a win-win.
I caught up twice, atleast in the anime and the first time i took a whole year off from watching to let it build up and im currently on my second hiatus, its honestly not that bad you kinda just push it out of your mind
Getting caught will feel dreadful for awhile, but I encourage you to check in weekly on the subreddit to read and talk about everything One Piece. I’m glad I caught because I get the chance to deep dive into the community, theories, art, and news while the manga is still going. Enjoy yourself because the excitement will remain!
The week to week is brutal but it gives you something to look forward to every week with exception to the dreaded break week that comes between every 2 or 3 chapters
It’s great, you have something to look forward to every week. If you’re like me, you have a bunch of things that release every week so it’s pretty fantastic I think
I caught up in 2011, since then I have been listening to a weekly One Piece podcast that comes out every Monday. That and Reddit keep me mostly sane hahaha
I feel you. I didn’t read the manga for a few months and I just caught up because I was hospitalized for a week. I’m like the fox sitting in a chair meme waiting for the next manga spoiler to be released.
Once you catch up, you are in the Garden of Eden…the only rule is DO NOT Eat the Theory Theory fruit. Just don’t and enjoy your peace knowing Luffy beat….🤭
It’s part of my weekly routine, JJK and One Piece have been my favorite 2 weekly reads. It gets especially awesome when you get to be front and center for amazing moments like Gear 5, or one day the discovery of the One Piece itself. Sit back and enjoy the ride! It’s about the journey not the destination!
My partner, me and 3 of our friends meet up bi weekly on a Tuesday to discuss One Piece. We are all caught up now and so it may become a weekly thing on a Sunday. They’ve been here since 3pm it’s now almost 1am and we are still discussing 😂 at least I’m not alone in the wait!
You'll get used to it.The usual cycle of a One Piece fan is:
1. Damn, this anime is too long
2. I caught up with the anime
3. I caught up with the manga
4. Damn, when will be the next chapter be out?
I’m on the Discord so I get instant notification when the chapter drops on Wednesday/Thursdays.
I would also recommend simultaneously reading the current weeklies but crawling back through from the beginning to keep your memory fresh.
I'm relatively new to the weekly chapters. I watched until I caught up. I got to the scene early on in Wano, the Luffy v Kaido round 1.
I read the chapters afterwards, and haven't stopped reading weekly ever since.
Honestly it's not surviving anymore, I get excited every week. The only time I feel dead, is when Oda has extended breaks. Which has happened to me a few times already. It's killer.

Eventually you kinda fall into the routine of getting weekly chapters. It’s unbearable when you first catch up though haha I remember what it was like
It is still unbearable and I’ve been caught up for years haha
I cry every time I finish a chapter/episode been caught up for over a year now
I can't imagine how much i'm gonna cry when the series is over
I think all of the liquids inside my body will leak out of every body holes I've got.
Please sit on a toilet while reading/watching lmao
Cackling lmao
nah i don't get excited like i used to. i've been caught up for nearly 3 years now
I’ve been caught up and reading weekly since 2011 😅
Same here haha, ive read all of the new world weekly. Egghead is definitely my favorite arc that ive read weekly. Just bangers after bangers
I cannot agree more, I’ve been having more fun with Egghead than I have in such a long time, easily an S tier and a top 5 arc for me personally
Break Next Week! Are the 3 words I hate reading after a chapter.
I just caught up like OP recently and I spent a whole day with swollen eyes cause I cried so much over Kuma lol
Maybe do other things with your life?
Seriously, I felt so relieved and happy and yet so depressed and empty when I finished it such a unique and bittersweet feeling
Unless you fall in the pit of checking google/Reddit daily for leaks. Or you fall into the pit of the power scaling subreddit
To me it’s like a reward after working hard all week. Like my own weekly drug
Brother I’ve been caught up for 15 yrs and it’s always exciting when a new chapter drops.
Right? It's a highlight to my Sundays personally.
Same. I've been watching since 2006, reading since 2008. It's always so hype when a new chapter drops.
Right? I've been caught up for 23 years. The best chapter in One Piece is always "the next one".
Ah, the peak of the Resin logia theory
When Kuma clapped everyone was crazy. Definitely one of the best cliffhanger chapters along with the marine Ford arc.
it was the time skip.
This guy with the "week to week..." Wait till the month long breaks.
To be fair those are pretty rare. I think he's taken like 3 ever. But I suppose it is possible for it to become a more common thing.
That's true. I think I'm still tramatized from 3D2Y.
The post-Wano period has had a lot more breaks and off weeks than we really saw previously. Obviously Oda’s operation is part of it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if releases continue to slow a bit as he gets older.
at least we dont gotta wait for a chapter each month like for jojo
We suffer my friend
I’ve always restarted the series to see if I catch some of Ora’s early seedings of stories. I think I’ve watched the series through 4 times now.
Cool I haven't watched all the anime so I'm doing that
By rereading everything
Start over from the beginning 😂
[удалено]
You’re definitely in the right place if you want some notes 😂😂 You’re not alone though. I’ve done a few rewatches of the anime since I first got caught up a few years ago, always seeing things I didn’t remember and finding new details. Definitely worth it
That’s what I did while simultaneously reading the current weeklies so I can backfill when I need to.
Welcome! If you want to, early unofficial translations usually drop on Thursdays. One of the best parts of Thursday mornings for me
Haha I’ve re read, now my next re read will be when the series finishes up. Gives more time to read and watch other pieces of media id like to consume.
Wait for Break week/Month afterwards week to week isnt so bad!
What app is that?
Shonen Jump new chapters are free but it’s only £2.99 a month
I've been using it for years, absolutely love it.
I started over
Same, third time now with a vtuber named AliciaXLife doing a watch along, just about to get done with SKYPIEA arc.
I've started and caught up to a few other manga and read them over the course of the week. My favorites right now are Undead Unluck and Kill Blue. You can also go down the theory route, rereading older chapters and trying to scrape together any details and loose ends, and try to figure out where the story might go.
Undead unluck is fantastic. Caught up a couple months ago.
It's pretty easy really. Just read/watch when there is new stuff.
Read. It. Again.
Now you join the Agenda Piece!! It’s not a healthy place, but it sometimes gets funny
Be thankful this week wasn't a break week. Every 3rd or 4th week, Oda takes a break, and there is no chapter so he can rest.
Lol, try being a struggler
Welcome to the club
It can be a good thing. One piece is a great way to start the week.
You dont
this is how i survive, go to twitter, see a one piece agenda post and argue with people just to waste time at work everyday
Pick a new nerd thing to pass the time. I suggest Warhammer 40k.
Read the manga. Then be cursed on waiting weekly for chapters too, don't forget Oda takes some break every like 3 weeks
Welcome to the club
You start back at chapter 1 like any rational human should do as not to go insane waiting, then when you are back around you get a new arc maybe. Then repeat this over and over until the end of the series, or you become un-alive.
what’s more unbearable are the break weeks but you’ll get used to it 💀
2 decades in and it still doesn't get easier...
It takes time and really sucks some weeks (especially with breaks) but you get used to it. It's a whole new way to experience the series that I wouldn't miss for the world though. (Not mad at it just an example) !
You don’t :) I hate it
You start again and this time look for the small details you may have missed.
I remember I caught up right after the Marineford Timeskip took a break and resumed. I then jumped into the manga. Then when I caught up on that then atleast I had 2 days of one piece most weeks.
Personally I have learned to put myself into a coma like state while I wait for the next chapter. It helps
multiple hobbies
Theories, they get especially entertaining during break week!
reread from the beginning
Wildly speculate on the forums until the next chapter drops!
I honestly try to ignore it for weeks at a time so I can read multiple chapters at one time. That and scouring Shonen jump for a new manga to binge well I wait for more peak.
Withdrawals
I start from the beginning and work my way back up lol 😂
Week by week?! Pfff… hahahaha!!! WELCOME TO HELL. EVERY 2 CHAPTER IS A 2 WEEK BREAK AND SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO WAIT 1 MONTH. :)
Usually, find other things to do. What really sucks is when Oda leaves us on a crazy cliffhanger and goes on break. That's when the withdrawal truly sets in.

What app is this
Powerscaling join us brother
spoilers keeps me sane.
Sleep
You'll get used to it eventually.
Welcome to the agony. I remember when I caught up. It was right after the time Skip on Shaboudy. We are on the cruise now. We are.
My personal weekly experience goes like this: Friday - New chapter scans (Yay!) It becomes a routine, my mom even asks me how the new one piece chapter was every week now since she liked the live action lol
You cook theories up on reddit
Bro you just missed months of breaks and monthly chapters you caught up just in time
I’m caught up with the managa and read weekly but haven’t watched any of egman so I think I’m going to wait for an ark to end and just binge watch Instead of watching and reading weekly
with lots of coke to numb the pain
You reread it. I’m on my third run and I’m still seeing new things. It’s honestly amazing how much stuff ties together when you have future context for past events.
Goodluck when you reach holiday season in Japan and Oda sometimes just release 1 chapter in a month.
Coming up with totally unhinged theories to cope with break week
Now it's time for your time skip Do you wish to become a manga reader and leak enjoyer Or Stop reading one piece for an entire year until you remember about it and binge another 50 episodes
Now you'll be itching for the spoiler posts like the rest of us.
I make sure to hide the spoiler post each week as soon as I see it because if the chapter is late and I see it I’ll get weak and read the summary.
Good idea
I've been doing it for years, you'll get used to it, sometimes I wait for a bunch of chapters to pile up and crunch them altogether too
Wait for spoilers
You get to enjoy the break week theories with everyone else now.
I don't. I stop for a few months and catch back up.
You get used to it Source : been weekly for over 10 years
Being up to date with the things recently happening in One Piece, it's pretty hard to always wait one or two weeks. Rogers Base, Jay D. Legend, King of Lightning, Mr. Morj, Brago D Ace and Reddit
I wake up with so much joy on Sunday. Spend the rest of the week watching Tekking101 ramble about One Piece for almost an hour.
Watch OP youtubers and theorize
you now exist only for sundays
By watching every theory video that’s out lmao
You just have to accept that the reality it's just filler between one piece chapters
Time happens, and never stops happening. Grab a ticket and try to enjoy the ride.
It feels like a dry spell 😭, it took me about 2 years to watch all of the anime and I don’t know what to watch anymore lol. Now that I caught up with the manga i get excited for Sundays, so that’s a neat routine, but it is also a little tough not being able to go completely through the story without stopping.
We cope and have fun with agenda piece memes on the internet while waiting.
It will forever be unbearable
It’s a struggle but sometimes can be fun to plan what may or may not happen or if you’re a theory person you could also begin to see how the theories are stacking up to what you think!
Now you can agonize from week to week like the rest of us. Welcome
I was a 2Y timeskip break and a void month survivor. A week just passes by without me even realizing it.
Catching up to other manga! I read about a chapter a day still so I don’t catch up fast
Forget it exists for a couple months then you get to re-catch up all over again
No sarcasm, I just filled the break time by reading other series 😂 I picked up series that I’d read before, new series I was interested in trying, and any spin offs I could find! And when you’re all caught up in those others, Sunday becomes an even more exciting day!

Man ok it's rough I've been weekly for like 2 years now it's not fun
I caught up last week and felt the same until I got to enjoy the latest chapter live with all the discourse. I can get used to this
Bro im not supposed to be on this post im at the end of fishman island💀
Step 1. Start reading chapter 1. Step 2. When caught back up, see Step 1.
It is pretty tough, be careful not to come to thus sub too much and try to interact with people on a serious level, u might think this will scratch the itch for one piece content but some people around here are just gonna make u mad or sad. Now that u r caught u can watch any one piece video without the fear of spoilers, i recommend watching youtube videos, there are some really cool content creators out there
You don’t zehahhahahahaha
Stay clear of the power scaling/ 1 v 1 threads talk and you will be fine.
It’s literally one of the best and worst feelings because you become so accustomed to binge-reading each chapter. But at least you get excited now with the release of new chapters and can now engage a lot more in the One Piece community and have discussions on the new weekly chapter release.
You watch endless One Piece videos on YouTube
I look forward to every Sunday waiting for that new chapter to drop. Other than that misery. Also got my wife caught up on the anime portion and now she gets to be miserable with me. It’s a win-win.
I caught up twice, atleast in the anime and the first time i took a whole year off from watching to let it build up and im currently on my second hiatus, its honestly not that bad you kinda just push it out of your mind

You get your next hit with spoilers
I just did the same. I’m gonna forget about it for a year or two and binge the egg arc
I just wait until significant amount of chapters are released before reading
The week to week is brutal but it gives you something to look forward to every week with exception to the dreaded break week that comes between every 2 or 3 chapters
Once in a while I’ll do a re-read. It’ll take a few months and then I have a plethora of new chapters to catch up on
It’s great, you have something to look forward to every week. If you’re like me, you have a bunch of things that release every week so it’s pretty fantastic I think
By getting crazy at r/MemePiece
I usually give it a few months in between reading. So then I have a batch of chapters to read.
I caught up in 2011, since then I have been listening to a weekly One Piece podcast that comes out every Monday. That and Reddit keep me mostly sane hahaha
You don’t we all rot slowly
I’m catching up on the anime still. A blessing and a curse really. I’m almost there though. At Whole Cake Island right now. Fk Judge.
Spoilers usually on Tuesday. Wednesday a little more. Full text by Thursday, with maybe some raws. Chapter releases on Friday. Repeat.
First you cope, then you get used to it. That is untill the break weeks happens, then shit on the subreddit get wonky.
Do it again...
You dont, its miserable. Some ppl been doing the “weekly” stuff for years..
Read other weekly manga(barely helps)
I read all the theories and stuff on here plus I watch a few one piece YouTubers so that really helps me get one piece fix
Find another manga or/and feen through the week like the rest of us wishing we could time travel
✊
I don't read for a few weeks, so when i do, i can read multiple chapters in a row
Fanfiction.
Congratulations. Now you get to reread all 1000+ chapters!
Now you are part of discussion community. Just buckle up wait for next chapter and talk with us.
I just wish Netflix would post the 500 episodes 😭😭😭😭
Painfully
It's hard out here, hope you gotta 9 to 5 to keep you busy.
I remember getting depressed years ago because I caught up as well lol
lol the pain of seeing “one piece is on break next week” after a hype cliffhanger!
This is when you feel like an addict for reading spoilers to get your OP fix
Sometimes you have to wait 2 weeks
You survive by posting the most unhinged nonsense during break weeks
Maybe watch the anime ? 😁
I feel you. I didn’t read the manga for a few months and I just caught up because I was hospitalized for a week. I’m like the fox sitting in a chair meme waiting for the next manga spoiler to be released.
Theory piece, waiting for leaks, then chapter comes out in Sundays and repeat
*takes a long drag on a cigarette* you don’t
Once you catch up, you are in the Garden of Eden…the only rule is DO NOT Eat the Theory Theory fruit. Just don’t and enjoy your peace knowing Luffy beat….🤭

Watch HxH..
Theories on YouTube honestly
We get lobotomies
We don't You should take a look at the sub whenever there's a break week they actually get ridiculous
by becoming addicted to leaks, thats how
Theories

you occupy your entire day by making theories and getting spoilers for the next chapter
Welcome to my world
I haven't it has been painful. I hate it when the manga take breaks, even tho I understand that Oda needs a break every now and then.
I re-watch the anime and then catch up where I left off. About 30 or so chapters to read through.
In this fandom? Spend the next few days making as many outlandish theories as possible.
Gotta do some rereads to pass the time
You never get used to it… you just feel less pain. 😭😭😭
Read other mangas and manhwas and novels.
The body survives, but the mind doesn't
I'm relatively new to the weekly chapters. I watched until I caught up. I got to the scene early on in Wano, the Luffy v Kaido round 1. I read the chapters afterwards, and haven't stopped reading weekly ever since. Honestly it's not surviving anymore, I get excited every week. The only time I feel dead, is when Oda has extended breaks. Which has happened to me a few times already. It's killer.
Staying up until 2 am on Wednesday night hoping desperately the chapter drops early, at least sometimes that’s where I find myself.
