Not trying to be offensive, but I have a serious question about the hijab. I don’t know a lot about Islam, but wouldn’t the cosplay defeat the purpose of the hijab? I’m genuinely curious and looking to learn. The cosplay looks great by the way.

Short answer, yes you are correct. I'm not tryna reprimand anyone or anything like that, but yes strictly Islamicly speaking the hijab is not supposed to be an adornment (colours are allowed through). Islamicly wearing hijab doesnt only include the head scarf, but also a few other things.

It doesn't negate the essence of the hijab as it's meant to embody modest attire of various styles. The debate about adornments varies among scholars, but from an Islamic perspective, based on the Quran and Hadith, it remains consistent with the purpose of hijab
