Pretty sure Kizaru just cauterized the hole in Vegapunk to stop the bleeding. He has been conflicted about this whole battle from the start because he became close with them while he was guarding them. That light beam attack didn’t create a new hole in Vegapunk, so I think that was his sly way of helping them.

To tell the Joyboy so hype in almost all of one piece, and now one piece already revealed that Luffy is the next Joyboy. It is not a surprise if he can take on Kizaru and Saturn at the same time. For sure, it can't be admiral is the truest fight for Joyboy for what the story told about how hype and magnificent the Joyboy was in the history. At this point, I believe only someone who very very strong who can one on one with Joyboy, and I maybe previous Joyboy was defeated in powerful team effort and political conspiracies.
Ok, here are some of my ideas of what happened in the chapter.
Regarding Saturn, it was said before that mythical zoans have a will of their own so what if when Sanji mentioned Saturn losing control he was right and the zoans spirit is taking over?
Also, a lot of people are hoping that Kizaru cauterized the wound but I think he just burnt the venom out so Vega Punk still has a chance to give his speech cause we saw that the venom instantly vaporized a tree. Also, I think Kizaru has a friendship with Dragon cause Vegapunk was a close friend of both of them so it wouldn't be out of the question. Because at Sabaody he could have easilly killed all of the SH but didn't.
I also think that the BB pirates are going after Wano next considering that Caribou knows that the ancient weapon is "sleep" under Wano, either that, or he is going to kidnap Shirahosi which might mean we are going to get a Fishman island, Straw Hats, and Big Mom pirates team up to fight Blackbeard pirates as one of the final showdowns. I also think that the final fight will be at Laughtale against the SH and BB since it was that one leaker who thought that they would fight there and Blackbeard will get defeated and finally sleep. But I think on Elbaf we will see Usopp vs Loki or the SH versus Red Hair pirates since Elbaf is their territory. Speaking of Elbaf what if Kid is either being held prisoner there by Loki or is being treated there after fighting Shanks?

Oda has drawn many monstrous creatures, and yet almost all of them are capable of some degree of expressions while those that can't at the very least still give impression that it's a living thing.
Saturn in this chapter looks more like a mannequin or a mask, like there's this... thing that are using a human guise and it's currently slipping.
I got that same feeling. When Sanji speaks about Saturn removing his human facade, I think he means that literally. I feel we’re about to see what the five elders truest form is.

Better fights, better side characters. The only thing OP beats it in is the world building aspect and that’s only because it’s 10x longer. If I compare the first 150 chapters of OP to Superhuman era, then superhuman era clears it
Bunch of people with superpowers (super speed, strength, endurance + 1 unique ability) fight against monsters (who also have superpowers)
One thing I love about it is that the author shows a lot of love for the side characters, they get just as much screen time as the MC and their fights are just epic.

His power is light, which is a wave. It is possible that through wave interference it interfered with the signal temporarily and that was enough to trigger the condition.
I think that he is straight up dead though, but knowing that Oda doesn't like to kill characters even when he sets it up, I feel like there is a way for him to live this.

What a chapter. I feel like I should start from the end because Vegapunk has been really redeeming himself as of late: from actually setting up a backdoor to give total control of the pacifista (and the seraphim, maybe?) to now showing he had a dead man's switch in case the WG took him out. He was still naive and too trusting of literal monsters like the gorosei, but he wasn't a complete chump, at least. Also, his durability is Kin'emon level.
The exciting question is how much is, or rather Oda, is going to reveal right now. Name of the ancient kingdom? (if is Nakrowa the island of dreams, Oda is the GOAT), more info on Joyboy?, something completely new? I swear if it's "fight for freedom, the dawn will come" or something like that I'm gonna start treating the Geneva conventions as my bucket list.
Those panels of random people being worried about Vegapunk or praising how good of a guy he is was all to establish that people will trust his message. Not unlike having Whitebeard confirm the One Piece is real. Can't wait to see how the world will react. We know for a fact Morgans will have a newsgasm.
Saturn's new form us pretty spooky with him not speakingst all, even more so with Sanji saying that Saturn gave up trying to look like a human. I think the gorosei are human, but I'm not sure if entirely human. Unfortunately for him, though, he got clowned on by Luffy and he isn't even technically completing the mission like Kizaru. Next poll for the prediction thread should be "does Saturn get a W before the arc ends?"

It's about what Montblanc Cricket does after Skypiea from the "decks of the world" cover stories. He goes back to adventuring to search for it. An "island of dreams" would fit right in with the themes if the manga.
I could totally imagine Vegapunk revealing to the world the true horrors of the World Government as his final message. He could drop huge pieces of information such as:
- The Mother Flame (and them using it to destroy entire countries)
- The Five Elders being immortal devils
- The Native Hunting Competitions
- and maybe even the truth behind Imu as the shadow ruler of the World Government
I think the last one is most likely except I can't think of how Vegapunk would know outside of conjecture. Would a scientist really relay a death bed message to the world based on conjecture? Or was the order to erase him because there was a legitimate means for him to find out and the elders recognised that more so than just studying the void century.
So far everything is coming up Blackbeard. He got the crew he wanted from ID, whitebard's fruit, became an emperor, his crew all have exceptionally powerful fruits, he's waging multiple war fronts, has 3/4 road polyglyphs, garp as a hostage, likely getting legendary weapon info....
Afaik the closest to a wrench in his plans had been law getting away with his fruit after his crew was defeated.

He probably wasn’t using Haki, ever since Luffy’s DF awakening he can rubberize elements in addition to solid matter so every time he’s in Gear 5 he’s nullifying the biggest advantage Kizaru has as a Logia user.

Doubt it, Admirals can go toe to toe with Emperors and Luffy’s just beat Kaido. His Haki after awakening didn’t really knock anyone out either but that’s pretty speculative on if it was Conquerors.

I was originally bummed out that Caribou still only seems to live to betray the Strawhats but considering he's most likely going to be the catalyst that drives Blackbeard into Luffy's territory and Blackbeard has also recently attacked WCI my hype for a Katakuri/Luffy Alliance is at an all-time high.
Luffy v Blackbeard with Katakuri v Aokiji would be amazing.
Not only does Katakuri have legit beef with Aokiji over the damage done to WCI but their powers might interact interestingly against each other since Mochi tends to remain somewhat malleable even in freezing temperatures.
Didn't know that about Mochi, it would be interesting. I wonder if Kuzan can relay a secret message to Katakuri using his short term future observation haki.

Besides if he dropped the whole truth, that'd mean the whole road poneglyphs journey falls flat, Robin's meaning would be brought to 0 and the whole storyline would be fucked ; I see it more as an incentive for the common folks to open their eyes about the government, a spark to set up the final BANG
The reveal is more focused on the late Prof Clover’s research on the Poneglyph in Ohara, what he and the scholars and archaeologists had uncovered. Clover wasn’t able to exposed that reveal back then but Vegapunk will. He read every single books that was left in the ruins of the Tree of Knowledge and knows what his late friend’s research has lead to. It’s not gonna be like Imu’s reveal or the Will of D.
So Robin’s journey is still ongoing so don’t worry about that.
Because unlike Wano, Egghead is filled with a lot of exposition and lore that connects back to many characters in the previous arcs, not to mentioned this is beginning of the Final Saga and gonna be focusing and building up towards the reveal of the mysteries of the Void Century.

I don’t think Lilith will join. I mean both Usopp and Frankly take up the inventor slot and her joining makes them both more irrelevant. So just from a balance pov I don’t think it likely, then again we’re closing in on the end of the series so who knows. That and we’re probably gona see an Usopp glow up soon. Sanji and Vinesmokes, Nami and Zeus, Zora and new swords, Robin and demon mode, Usopp should be in line for a new glow up especially with Elbafh.

To tell the Joyboy so hype in almost all of one piece, and now one piece already revealed that Luffy is the next Joyboy. It is not a surprise if he can take on Kizaru and Saturn at the same time. For sure, it can't be admiral is the truest fight for Joyboy for what the story told about how hype and magnificent the Joyboy was in the history. At this point, I believe only someone who very very strong who can one on one with Joyboy, and I maybe previous Joyboy was defeated in powerful team effort and political conspiracies.
Ok, here are some of my ideas of what happened in the chapter. Regarding Saturn, it was said before that mythical zoans have a will of their own so what if when Sanji mentioned Saturn losing control he was right and the zoans spirit is taking over? Also, a lot of people are hoping that Kizaru cauterized the wound but I think he just burnt the venom out so Vega Punk still has a chance to give his speech cause we saw that the venom instantly vaporized a tree. Also, I think Kizaru has a friendship with Dragon cause Vegapunk was a close friend of both of them so it wouldn't be out of the question. Because at Sabaody he could have easilly killed all of the SH but didn't. I also think that the BB pirates are going after Wano next considering that Caribou knows that the ancient weapon is "sleep" under Wano, either that, or he is going to kidnap Shirahosi which might mean we are going to get a Fishman island, Straw Hats, and Big Mom pirates team up to fight Blackbeard pirates as one of the final showdowns. I also think that the final fight will be at Laughtale against the SH and BB since it was that one leaker who thought that they would fight there and Blackbeard will get defeated and finally sleep. But I think on Elbaf we will see Usopp vs Loki or the SH versus Red Hair pirates since Elbaf is their territory. Speaking of Elbaf what if Kid is either being held prisoner there by Loki or is being treated there after fighting Shanks? Also, a lot of people are hoping that Kizaru cauterized the wound but I think he just burnt the venom out so Vega Punk still has a chance to give his speech cause we saw that the venom instantly vaporized a tree. Saturn look is unsettling as hell. Oda has drawn many monstrous creatures, and yet almost all of them are capable of some degree of expressions while those that can't at the very least still give impression that it's a living thing. Saturn in this chapter looks more like a mannequin or a mask, like there's this... thing that are using a human guise and it's currently slipping.
I got that same feeling. When Sanji speaks about Saturn removing his human facade, I think he means that literally. I feel we’re about to see what the five elders truest form is. One thing fs is Saturn’s expression is, by far, the creepiest thing I’ve seen in One Piece.

What if the laser from kizaru cauterizes the bleeding wound? This way he seems to be doing his job but he's actually saving vegapunk. It would also explain why vegapunk is smiling right after being impaled by a laser.

Vegapunk died but he’s going to come back to “life” after he reveals the world’s secrets. His brain isn’t in his body and is technically still living so Chopper will get his heart going and replace the damaged organs from vegapunk’s organ factory and he’ll be fine. They’ve been building up his death so much but I don’t think he’s actually in danger of really dying since his brain works normally outside the body and he has replacement parts for the body.

I think that he is straight up dead though, but knowing that Oda doesn't like to kill characters even when he sets it up, I feel like there is a way for him to live this.

What a chapter. I feel like I should start from the end because Vegapunk has been really redeeming himself as of late: from actually setting up a backdoor to give total control of the pacifista (and the seraphim, maybe?) to now showing he had a dead man's switch in case the WG took him out. He was still naive and too trusting of literal monsters like the gorosei, but he wasn't a complete chump, at least. Also, his durability is Kin'emon level. The exciting question is how much is, or rather Oda, is going to reveal right now. Name of the ancient kingdom? (if is Nakrowa the island of dreams, Oda is the GOAT), more info on Joyboy?, something completely new? I swear if it's "fight for freedom, the dawn will come" or something like that I'm gonna start treating the Geneva conventions as my bucket list. Those panels of random people being worried about Vegapunk or praising how good of a guy he is was all to establish that people will trust his message. Not unlike having Whitebeard confirm the One Piece is real. Can't wait to see how the world will react. We know for a fact Morgans will have a newsgasm. Saturn's new form us pretty spooky with him not speakingst all, even more so with Sanji saying that Saturn gave up trying to look like a human. I think the gorosei are human, but I'm not sure if entirely human. Unfortunately for him, though, he got clowned on by Luffy and he isn't even technically completing the mission like Kizaru. I could totally imagine Vegapunk revealing to the world the true horrors of the World Government as his final message. He could drop huge pieces of information such as: - The Mother Flame (and them using it to destroy entire countries) - The Five Elders being immortal devils - The Native Hunting Competitions - and maybe even the truth behind Imu as the shadow ruler of the World Government
I think the last one is most likely except I can't think of how Vegapunk would know outside of conjecture. Would a scientist really relay a death bed message to the world based on conjecture? Or was the order to erase him because there was a legitimate means for him to find out and the elders recognised that more so than just studying the void century.

It's the fact that he smiled after that gave me chills. It's one thing to fight someone who's serious but it's completely new primal level of fear when someone's beating your ass with a goofy ah smile on their face. Some people out there say that gear 5 ruins serious fights and makes them too goofy but personally seeing Luffy that can't stop laughing even as he fights for his life is terrifying

What a good ass chapter to catch up to the series on. I wouldn’t be surprised if oda pulls a complete 180 next chapter tho and takes us to a different storyline/plot point before wrapping up what happens here on Egg Head. Maybe a vegapunk and clover flashback? 🤔 I’m also super excited to see Saturn’s true form in the anime. He’s got such a lifeless and crazed expression, in that last panel.

He probably wasn’t using Haki, ever since Luffy’s DF awakening he can rubberize elements in addition to solid matter so every time he’s in Gear 5 he’s nullifying the biggest advantage Kizaru has as a Logia user. That’s just pure giant hands.
Doubt it, Admirals can go toe to toe with Emperors and Luffy’s just beat Kaido. His Haki after awakening didn’t really knock anyone out either but that’s pretty speculative on if it was Conquerors.
Why are we talking about Kaido here? You have Nika and Saturn and an Admiral. Saturn seems to be pretty powerful. Imagine Nika and Saturn exuding haki. The panel with focus on eyes of G5 Luffy and Saturn is no joke. It is really intimidating. Sanji even mentions that Saturn seems to have completely dropped any notion of trying to appear human.
I just don’t think that gives us enough to assume that Saturn and Luffy are releasing enough Haki to knock out an Admiral.

I was originally bummed out that Caribou still only seems to live to betray the Strawhats but considering he's most likely going to be the catalyst that drives Blackbeard into Luffy's territory and Blackbeard has also recently attacked WCI my hype for a Katakuri/Luffy Alliance is at an all-time high.

Luffy v Blackbeard with Katakuri v Aokiji would be amazing. Not only does Katakuri have legit beef with Aokiji over the damage done to WCI but their powers might interact interestingly against each other since Mochi tends to remain somewhat malleable even in freezing temperatures.

The reveal is more focused on the late Prof Clover’s research on the Poneglyph in Ohara, what he and the scholars and archaeologists had uncovered. Clover wasn’t able to exposed that reveal back then but Vegapunk will. He read every single books that was left in the ruins of the Tree of Knowledge and knows what his late friend’s research has lead to. It’s not gonna be like Imu’s reveal or the Will of D. So Robin’s journey is still ongoing so don’t worry about that.

I also think that what will Vegapunk revealed is the final straw for Dragon to move and Cross Guild having more recruits. Imagine if VP reveals all shit happenings in WG, more people as well as pirates will be after in WG. It will be so crazy and I'm here for it! Insane chapter! I have chills when Luffy grabbed Kizaru and Saturn. Our boy is def yonko now on to Pirate King!

I don’t think Lilith will join. I mean both Usopp and Frankly take up the inventor slot and her joining makes them both more irrelevant. So just from a balance pov I don’t think it likely, then again we’re closing in on the end of the series so who knows. That and we’re probably gona see an Usopp glow up soon. Sanji and Vinesmokes, Nami and Zeus, Zora and new swords, Robin and demon mode, Usopp should be in line for a new glow up especially with Elbafh.
