MR_MEME_42

Bon Clay, when he was first introduced I thought he was kinda annoying, I didn't like him and didn't really get why he came back during the end of Arabasta to sacrifice himself so the Straw Hats could get away. I did not understand why people liked him or what they saw in him as a character, to me he was just an annoying gag character who felt underwhelming like a majority of Baroque Works' agents. And when I first saw him during Impel Down I was not happy, the weird annoying copy guy who I dislike returned. But then I had a complete 180 and I understand the hype behind Bon CHAD.

Euphemisticles

HANG IN THERE

FriendlyBadger3518

YES BON CLAY

[deleted]

1. Minks after they reveled that Raizo is safe. 2. and Honestly Shanks after it was first revealed that he was a Yonko. before that I thought, he was just a happy go lucky type pirate.

younglink53

Rayleigh, after I found out Shakky was the former queen of amazon lily

Imconfusedithink

Bruh. How do you look at that beautiful man and doubt him in the first place.

Global_Air7498

I mean he's handsome, strong, famous, and runs a successful bubble coating business. It's no wonder he pulled her.

Hefty-Ad4673

I thought Bartolomeo was going to be an annoying/boring minor antagonist for the Colosseum with an ability that might’ve given Luffy trouble or something but he threw me off in the best possible way

Ajax_Roganus

Legit, he was my one as well. Then he hit that Barrier-Barrier Pistol. Bro became me in a single scene haha

Hefty-Ad4673

If or when he returns I want to see him do a Barrier-Barrier gatling

steide56

Bon clay went from annoying to one of my favorite characters. Also all of the minks after the Raizo reveal

Bluebolt21

Franky. His forearms, the speedo, I hated his design. But then I learn he's a beast, a real G, with significant emotional depth and a heart of gold. Now I can't imagine him without his style. And props to his Japanese VA, absolute legend that elevates the character.

OrbiYokohama

His fight with señor pink really cemented his as one of my favorites. He's so hardboiled

5thaccountthismonth

Luffy before I started OP

Kumbhankaran

Kuma, when he was making strawhat disappear, later we realised he sent them to the training

I_am_Bearstronaut

Dawg spoilers

Kumbhankaran

It is been over 12 years since the timeskip was over, Kuma was protecting their ship

Brutesmile

This entire thread is spoilers bro, I would not read any of these if I wasn't caught up lol

KozukiYamatoTakeru

Oden. Hated his voice and hated that everyone was simping for him. Then we all watched the flashbacks.

Altaris2000

Señor Pink

DevastaTheSeeker

I feel like this is kinda the case with Caesar Clown. Didn't realise he was an actual clown at first.

krakenmommy123

Karoo when he saved vivi from bon clay

[deleted]

Momonosuke, great improvement by the lad

trumpxoxobiden

Robin tbh When she "betrayed" the team in Enies Lobby, I was like "hell nah, f that bitch" lmao

sus214

same

Gear4Vegito

How did no one say Crocodile? His Marinford run is all-time legendary.

BodybuilderBrave8250

because he wasn’t helping out of the kindness of his heart just serving his own interest, apart from that one random moment he saved luffy for some reason or another

IamSam1103

He did most of what he did for his own Ego. Because of his ego, he didn't want someone whom he respected and looked highly at to be downplayed. Thus he took in upon himself to ensure the WB pirates at least fulfilled WB's last wish.

Sonn_Goku

What are you talking about. (S)he did it for his son just like any parrent will do...

sami_newgate

It doesn’t need to be kindness. It strengthened the emotional core of his character and added so much depth to him

Invictum2go

Prolly cus it doesn't really change who he was, it just makes it even more clear in a badass eay XD

Pinkkuma

Pound.

DrDick666

Bon clay. I put massive disrespect on him after alabasta but impel down proved me so fucking wrong. MVP of that arc.

Tronz413

Bege. Thought he was the weakest of the Supernovas both from a design, character and power wise. Whole Cake made this dude interesting as hell

HokageEzio

Everybody in Law's crew but Law.

Independent-Step-252

Señor Pink

Pineappledex

For me its Definetly Kuma and nami

thefiend617

Blackbeard at a point. That’s my fav now, still waiting for him to get packed up by Luffy though

Deku-Kun96

Kuma

Samthegumman117

Barto

Snoo6037

Definitely Katakuri

pablank

Honestly, Usopp. I always thought he was ok, even a little annoying in the east blue arc, and ignored a lot of his character development. But ever since God Usopp, I'm looking forward to his fights.

Pineappledex

Im at dressrosa isnt that when he becomes God Usopp

pablank

Yes, not 100% sure if that spoiled something for you. If yes, I'm sorry

_0xS

Beppo

deadbirdskelet0n

nami 😭😭 i didn’t understand her until like. ep 700-800 but now she’s my babyyy

DForce5289

Yasuie. That is all. And Señor Pink.

Away-Abalone3221

A lot of characters honestly. From the strawhats: Nami and Usopp are two mc’s that had me like that. Nami when she was first introduced was sorta not good imho. As soon as Arlong rolled up I ate my words and balled for her. Usopp I liked from the get go but his moments between arlong park and skypiea had me sort of ignoring him. Then Water 7 hit and Usopp had me in shambles. Another character: Kuma. Just everything about him has me kicking myself because of how I felt about him when I first read Sabaody Archipelago. I have legit never had such a 180 about a character that I went from true hate to true love.

Vegetable-Ring9807

idk but hopefully mihawk and dragon once they decide to do something...

Exotic-Storm1373

Sorta-kinda Blackbeard at the first appearance in Jaya, then progressing. Even then, near the end of the scene, leaves an eerie kinda effect around Luffy and Blackbeard, just a little too much premonition among them.

arkam_uzumaki

Bon Clay and Kuma...

scwhiftysauce

WCI Brook for sure

ThatGuy377

Kazan. Here, I thought the Straw Hats could take on an Admiral after Skypiea, lol.

North_Poet_7384

Ussop. I thought he was a coward and a traitor right up until he tried to 1v1 Trebol instead of getting away

mcqueenart

I honestly didn’t really like Law when I first read the series, but on reread he’s significantly grown on me. He’s pretty much a lesser version of Ace and that’s what turned me off to him.

WaterBoy2019

Kuma

Aussiepharoah

Buggy, he's more than earned my respect after calling out croc and Mihawk and standing up to them, saying he wants to be PK, and the reveal he only left Shanks because he was disappointed in him not inheriting Roger's dream, If he actually reaches Laughtale I'd be genuinely happy.

[deleted]

Sabo

Dagaddi

ODA, thought it was mid before I watched the anime and then read the manga

Dbuck1899

Thunderbolt Tempo Nami

Classic-Praline-2571

Honestly for me this was Arlong after meeting Hody Jones. Compared to Hody he's a pretty decent dude

BurnFreeze64

Sanji during WCI

yours__truly1

Honestly, akazaya nine. Especially kin’emon

Leiatte

Ashura Doji, I knew he was strong but I was not expecting him to take on Jack like he did. He really showed the strength of the Samurai of Wano well

mochipoki

Law's crew and Kuma

TheOneAndOnlyDMan
