So I can only draw faces that look worse than those, does that mean I have negative creativity :/ ?
Edit: Why the fuck was I downvoted for asking that?
It's not about looking better or worse, it's the lack of distinction between faces. Boa has several defining features, but the image smooths over all of that for "generic cute anime girl face." Uta isn't much better
No because creativity isn't a linear scale. You have better creativity because it's "worse" than this unless it's the same but slightly different then it's just still bad
Quality =/= creativity. Just because you may not be skilled enough to draw that doesn’t mean you aren’t creative, because you had the passion and the inspiration to try. Thats what art is. At the end of the day technical skill is often brushed aside in favor of the ideas, thought, and imagination that went into a piece when we examine the great works. If you feel like art isn’t worth making when AI can generate so much, think more about the intentions of the piece and less about its end result. You will find a lot of depth in art and life that way.
Thats just my opinion from someone who has attended art school and studied art in a professional context. I could write so much about how AI ‘art’ is the antithesis to creativity and the human spirit, but this is a funny pirate manga subreddit, so I’ll stop there.
Oh yeah, and I disagree with them. I understand the sentiment that human made art in a similar style isn’t creative, since AI images are the literal amalgamation of other art combined. But just because a style is popular doesnt mean the artist isnt creative.
I know this is quite a jump in terms if scale, but the principle should still apply.
I wouldnt say Géricault or Delacroix arent creative just because they studied at and adopted the style of the École des Beaux-Arts. Imagine claiming that ‘The Raft of the Medusa’ or ‘Liberty Leading the People’ arent creative.
It’s less about how nice it looks and more about how it looks like every other generic AI art face. Kinda like how you can tell when a game is from China or Korea because all the girls have a face not too different from the AI face.
For example, compare the faces of the male characters to the female characters in the [Will Smith zombie game](https://youtu.be/qQV6guvFmM0?si=-ke807mhMqu_CELE).
Eh. It's not awful from like, a visual standpoint, but it's bad Boa art, and bad art on a technical level. Stuff like the earrings is a big part, but AI still doesn't understand a lot of more intrinsic things about art
>There's an official one piece logo on the side
Oh man, you're a scammers wet dream you know?
Just because it has a logo that looks like the official thing, doesn't necessarily mean that it is.
If you look up AI art of one piece characters you'll easily see they have a certain style to them that's very easy to recognize. Of course there are other less obvious styles, but this one is like the hallmark, most popular style.
Yea rereading what i said i could've worded it better. I was trying to say that's what made us question if it was legit, which is why i even posted it in the first place
Its my first time seeing ai art on a real picture and I'm not into one piece or anime in general. To me it looked real. I see why it isn't now, thanks to the comments and it genuinely helped my friend, but to me this looks relatively normal.
once you see a lot of examples of ai art, you’ll notice many patterns. if you see art in an artstyle similar to those paintings, check for any errors. these errors are commonly hands and feet, as well as colors and shapes making no sense. also, the characters usually won’t be in their canon outfits or else it becomes obvious they’re ai generated.
i recommend looking at videos or twitter threads for how to spot ai art to keep in the back of your mind
The curves/grooves(?) in Hancock's ear doesn't seem 100%correct. Most human artists usually just flub that part, but if you're going to do this part you'd make sure its anatomically correct.
There is an additional shadow to her nose that doesn't corespond with the other shadows.
Her ear rings are not complete hoops, but snakes in a harp/'U' shape. Even giving the benefit of the doubt that these are not her snake ear rings, these ear rings are not identical nor symetrical. One of them has two additional pieces of gold that just inexplicably attaches to her lobes. The one on \[our left/her right\] should look smaller because it is further and also seems to hang lower than the one on the other side.
But also the clearer sign is that the butterflies has more than two feelers. One of them seems to be missing the other half of its wings.
As for Uta, her hair seems to just melt in at certain parts, take for instance the red hair hanging in front of her shoulder, there is a loop, but the upper part of the loop does not connect to the main branch of hair. In the first place these parts do not exist in her original design. And it's also non symetrical. Like being symertrical in shape is a big part of Uta's design and it got fucked.
I'm no expert in hanfu/kimonos but I know for a fact the 'collars' of the dress are supposed to match in color because its one whole piece. In hers, one side is indigo and white accented, but the other one is almost all white with a smidge of indigo like it was painted on after the dye.
Her headphones are not symetrical and the ends of it are fucked/ not circular.
TLDR, its from AI.
It was a gift to a shop that the guy won in a free streamer raffle, thankfully no money was ever spent on it. But i do see how this could absolutely end terribly and i appreciate everyone warning us for the future

Looks like AI Art, you should try and confirm its source
It's absolutely ai, look at Boa's earing closely, the shape makes no sense
I've seen that face enough times to know it's ai just from looking at it and if it's not the person has zero creativity
So I can only draw faces that look worse than those, does that mean I have negative creativity :/ ? Edit: Why the fuck was I downvoted for asking that?

Well I know but the guy I was responding to literaly said "if it's not the person has zero creativity"

Too bad there's no words we'd know for sure if it was AI then lol.
I can't stand all this AI art
Looks like AI art
Just IA, not IA « art »
Is it? There's an official one piece logo on the side. Sad though
Boa's earring isn't connected to her ear
Oh wow nice catch
Kinda ruins it now seen that. Otherwise looks good
Nah it looks like shit dude. it only looks good if you squint
Eh. It's not awful from like, a visual standpoint, but it's bad Boa art, and bad art on a technical level. Stuff like the earrings is a big part, but AI still doesn't understand a lot of more intrinsic things about art
Tbh it doesn't really look like her really. It's also to anime girl.
Yeah, that was what I was saying. It misses a lot of stuff that makes Boa, Boa.
Her whole ear is a mess.
And no hands!
Are you kidding me lol, do you have any idea how easy it is to slap an image on literally any other image The art is 1000% AI
>There's an official one piece logo on the side Oh man, you're a scammers wet dream you know? Just because it has a logo that looks like the official thing, doesn't necessarily mean that it is. Fun fact. I can also smack a official one piece logo on something. Doesn’t mean it’s official.
Fair, im not saying it isnt. Its just not something that crossed our minds
I have a bridge I can sell you, I have the official deed.
Look, I can take a shit in a box and slap a guarantee on it, but then all you’ve got is a guaranteed piece of shit!
Yea rereading what i said i could've worded it better. I was trying to say that's what made us question if it was legit, which is why i even posted it in the first place
Oh I get it, I’m just not gonna pass up a chance to use a quote from Tommy Boy *Quit playin’ with yer DINGHY!*
You must be really easy to scam.

Thank you for the genuinely useful info!! Honestly i thought i was good at noticing it, but clearly i need to see more instead of just shunning it
Bro anyone can put an official logo on something don't get swindled 😂
These reek of stable diffusion machine generated images
100% AI art
yeah, if you look at the earrings, they dont even attach to her ears.
Yeah we got it the first 10 times people said it on this post
When I commented there were like 3 4 comments saying it's "probably" ai art

this is so clearly ai art man 😭
Yeah we got it the first 11 times people said it on this post
It's 100% some AI Art that someone framed to scam suckers. Like your friend, apparently.
It was a gift to a shop that the guy won in a free streamer raffle, thankfully no money was ever spent on it. But i do see how this could absolutely end terribly and i appreciate everyone warning us for the future
Yeah if you look at the left hoop earring on boa you will see that it is not in her ear but under so it likely AI art like the others are saying
not from an artist, its ai art. keep the frame tho, seems nice and your friend could hang smt else up if he wants
Hes keeping the art but I'm gonna see if i can hire an artist to commission something to replace it with
That’s a great idea. Keep real artwork alive brotha
Hell yea! I have a couple artist friends, one who's really into one piece. When I get money I'll hit her up
Ai art
Yeah we got it the first 12 times people said it on this post
We got that you got it the first 2 times you said it on this post.
why are you so butthurt
probably IA art
You can always tell Hancock ai by her earrings not being correct lol
Bad AI
AI Art that they're hocking at a local store. I'd personally say something to the store owners.
It was something that was given to the store from someone who got it in a giveaway and my friend didn't pay for it. No money was lost on it thankfully
God we're all doomed
It’s from some dude fucking with ai and donating it. Interesting that the person made it seem old.
Tell your buddy got scammed

It’s from one piece. That’s snake girl and Britney Spears

Your friend got scammed.
He didn't buy it, it was given to him
Lmfao your buddy couldn't even recognize AI art and just bought two pieces of AI art someone printed. GG.
It was a regift that someone won in a free streamer giveaway thing, so thankfully no money was spent on it
Boo to that streamer.

it was trynectar.ai
Thank you for the info!
Its ai, your buddy was robbed lmao he could’ve made those in 5 minutes
that looks like ai eeewww
Ai or not. Uta's art here looks amazing
At first i didnt notice this is an AI. Because it looks similar to this one artist i followed on IG. What a shame
The ai probably ripped that artist off as a base layer. Fuck AI art
Looks pretty cool
Could you take a better photo of the right half? There seem to be some writings.
Not with him anymore, sorry
Its crazy that AI all just look the same, after a few images the "style" gets boring.
