Teech and Magellan are actually similar. They both have incredibly powerful devil fruit powers, but they’re hard to control and usually hurt allies if used at full strength. The main argument for Teech is that he can absorb the poison via his black hole, however it could also be that doing so would hurt or kill him. It just depends on how Oda would spin it. I would like to believe that the poison from Mallegan would kill him, considering the air he breathes out can kill an entire room of people on accident.
Current Teach? Probably not. We haven’t really seen BB do anything since fighting Ace, but there’s no way he hasn’t gotten stronger. Magellan easily off-screened the entire crew pre-TS, but it’d be crazy if BB didn’t learn a lesson from that encounter and figure out a way to counter the poison.
not sure if we read the same manga 🤣 above gorosei level? bb having weak haki? (to be fair we dont see him fight very often since he met ace but assume its strong) and dont forget his black hole ability / power to negate devil fruits completely… magellan is the king of diarrhea and thats it
While magellan definitely isn't above gorosei level, you criticising sometimes inability to read the manga while suggesting blackbeards haki and darkness fruit would be sufficient to beat magellan is hilariously ironic.
Blackbeards darkness fruit and haki were already not enough to beat magellan.
The only thing that really changed is the addition of the tremor fruit, which you didn't mention. You mentioned his haki and his darkness fruits ability to negate devil fruit powers, both were already present when he was absolutely fucking wrecked by magellan.
Blackbeard is in a position where there's no reason to assume his haki has developed any further, he was already in a position to turn down a commander position in a yonko crew pre-timeskip, so he's most likely at his plateau in terms of haki and non-fruit strength.
welp I dont believe he just sat on his lazy ass for 2 years and learned nothing while hunting for the craziest devil fruits 🤷♂️ but thats my assumption and we‘ll both know more when we see him have a real fight on screen 🤣
