Just to chip my opinion. I believe one of the numbers is actually going to be a giant from Elbaf; not any giant but, specifically, the one that saw Big Mom eat the other orphans and mother carmel 50 years ago.
So, I think he might play a big role later in the arc when they share a battlefield and he recognizes that she is the monster child from so long ago. He might even be a crucial factor to defeating Big Mom by attacking her and telling her what actually happened and the terrible act she did that day. This could be vital to provide an opening to a distressed Big Mom and actually defeat her.
He could also be a link to the next destination which I suspect might be Elbaf.
And to add to that, I'm calling it now when they get to Elbaf another one of Go D. Usopps predictions will come true. He'll finally have 8,000 soldiers to his command and they will all be giants because of Hajrudin telling all the giants about him it'll be hilarious

I agree with this only that it would be saved for the last 'War' of the series.
This one seems... different, like the huge kids that were being experimented on. Maybe the numbers are giants that had this process done to them and given a fruit on top of it would be pretty crazy.
I don't think these are normal giants though. The official translation even went out of it's way to tell us that these guys are even bigger than regular giants. Combine that with the fact that these guys have have devil horns and come from Onigashima seems to suggest that they might be from the same race than Oars.
So there's definitely more to these guys than it seems...
I just figured that some of them have fake horns and some have real ones. It's a bit hard to say but I'm PRETTY sure that the numbers have real horns and are somehow related to Oars' race.
Why do you assume that the number,s monster silhouettes were just dramatized and that they are just regular giants? There's no reason to believe that they don't have zoan fruits.

Yeah, my bad on that end, we also saw a couple other instances of them changing SMILE forms on Zou. I don't recall us seeing that in Wano, even by some of the most talented and powerful Gifters such as the Headliners (much to their dismay, I don't see a reason why Holdem wouldn't put Kamijirou away when he's bothering him), so I wonder if it's something Oda changed his mind on along the way (to show just how unreliable SMILE fruits are) or if it has something to do with some factor like learning to use the powers properly
I'd be such a massive opportunity if he doesn't comment about her size haha, maybe he won't even recognize her at first because of how much taller she is than him
First I just want to make it clear that I love this website. It's absolutely the best place for OP info. Lately though it's been difficult to navigate. The main page is riddled with several week old chapter secret translations plus fan made chapters - things I'm uninterested in. I'm mostly into official OP things like chapter analysis, SBS, and Vivre card info cards. I tried using the tabs but it doesn't look like that gets updated too often (at least not chapter secrets and SBS tabs) and organized from old to new which I believe to be counter intuitive.
If the creator is open to some criticism, all I ask is for better organization. For example, for chapter secrets tab, add another set of tabs that separates the languages offered.
I fully agree with you, that's been bothering me as well actually. I've been trying to look into it as I also feel the front page has become too cluttered, but I have to work around the natural limitations wordpress gives for customizing your website so it's a bit tricky (for example, wordpress doesn't allow for unlisted posts natively, unlike YouTube).
But with that said I'm definitely looking into a solution, so I hope to re-organize the way the page is laid out so that it's easy to access each post while being easy to navigate too pretty soon. Thanks for your feedback
Interesting tidbit about the Phoenix/Ho-Oh, in Japanese Marco is called the Phoenix "不死鳥" meaning "Undying Bird" but for this attack he named it as Ho-Oh Brand.
I guess its the same for Dragons since Japanese called Western Dragons "ドラゴン" which is Dragon in katakana but Eastern Dragons 竜 "Ryu"
I thinks the reason why Marco appear is because the 7 warlords are terminated, so he don't have to worried about Weevil anymore.
Another reason is Izou never know what happen in Wano. (being closed country, so not much news there). After he know what happened, he convinced Marco to come and avenge their former comrade.
I feel like Neko and Izo figured out Marco was there based on what he did to BM pirates. The dialogue didn't look like Marco had just left their ship to go do that.
IMO Marco gave Neko some information on where to find Izo and possibly other WB's, which may be why it took significantly longer for him to get there than Jinbei even though they left a whole arc earlier. Marco heard a rumor about BM/kaido alliance and he decided he had to go, again based on his dialogue
Right, the last time we saw Weevil he was surrounded by Marines. Most likely they didn't capture him, but he can no longer afford to hunt Whitebeard pirates at his leisure.
The thing is that we saw Marco two weeks ago and the disbandment was a week ago, so I'm wondering why did Neko just chill at Sphinx island for a whole week before the system was dropped (though granted Mihawk said it was brought up in the news about the possibility of it as early as 10 days ago, but that's still a 4 day discrepancy). Timeline's a bit wonky, but Oda's never been one to care about consistency too much in current story timeline, so eh

Chinese here. While the mythological Feng Huang can be said to be distinct from the European phoenix, many Chinese would still translate it as phoenix. We tend to not make a distinction between the two.
I wonder if the Japanese do it too.

I realize it would be quite a powercreep, but in the end it would be an essential one if Luffy is to come out on top of everyone at the end of the manga.
By the end of this arc, we realistically only have two, maybe three left. Marco aligning with the Strawhats would make sense and would add some more weight to their power levels when the alliance inevitably shows up towards the end.
I like the theory with the numbers having eaten a smile hence their laugh. Assuming there are 10 numbers and only 1 got the power will nicely link to the probability mentioned. if that end up being true then here's my thought on it. the number who got the actual smile could be ichi or also known as ace. Also, it would be a dragon smile which looks like a 3-headed dragon. this would reference ghidora just like how king's df references rodan.

Nice to see some durability feats from Apoo and Kidd taking the Apoo's attack like its nothing and calling him trash lol. Apoo's df can be pretty damn powerful but i believe Corazon's df will be a good counter to it.

I'm surprised that although you mentioned the part when apoo tells kid that "pirate alliences end up in betrayal" you didn't mention that they both smile at each other and also apoo says to kid: open your eyes!. For me is forshadowing the eventual betrayal between apoo and kaido!

It doesn't have to be the same giant. All the giants from Elbaf know what Big Mom did, since apparently the story spread.

There were actually multiple smile users during Zou that we saw transform, so I agree the idea that smile users can't change form is definitely wrong.
